I just love Anne! She's the perfect little girl to share with your own small children. A great adaptation!

This was a well-done adaptation of Anne of Green Gables. If you know and love the story, this is an easier-to-understand version that still maintains Anne’s speech.

What a beautiful adaptation of Anne of Green Gables.

The original novel is one of my favorite books of all time, and as a fan of graphic novels and stories geared towards younger readers, I was so excited for this one! I love everything about this adaptation, from the story, to the artwork. It is all so wonderful and captures that charm the original book is known for.

I will be reading this one again and again for many years to come.

As a kid I was obsessed with the tv movie adaptation of Anne of Green Gables. Ever since then I’ve loved reading various adaptations gold the story- they never disappoint! This was so cute and uplifting! The illustrations were such a nice addition to this adaptation as well!

This retelling of Anne of Green Gables is such a wonderfully well-written version of the story that will touch the hearts of readers both young and old.

This adaptation shows us Anne’s adventures from the time she arrives at Green Gables in Avonlea at the age of 11 to when she is grown and able to give back to the people of Avonlea just as they gave to her as she was growing up.

The story begins by introducing the reader to Matthew and Marilla, who are siblings, and the decision they make to bring Anne, an orphan, into their home and into their hearts. We learn that she longs to have a family that she can be a part of and feel like she belongs. We also learn that she is very smart, creative, and has a nurturing spirit, all strong qualities that will guide her decisions as she grows into a young woman.

The illustrations throughout the book are beautiful and the detail perfectly aligns with the story.

Anne of Green Gables is one of the stories that got me hooked on reading as a little girl. I loved every moment of those stories. I was so excited to receive this ebook ARC of a retelling of the classic for young readers. I was so impressed. So wonderfully written and adapted. It brought back fond memories of the classic and at the same time gave me a new favorite I can share with my children. I love being able to share the classics at an early age. Wonderfully illustrated that keeps with that classic feeling of the story. I loved this book. I can’t wait to add it to our collection.

Wow! Just…wow! I couldn’t imagine a better children’s book! The illustrations were absolutely gorgeous and the writing was just so perfect. I am just in awe of this edition. I might go ahead and reread it! This book was beautifully written and tugged at my heart. Had me smiling, giggling, sobbing all at the same time! I couldn’t recommend this book anymore! I feel like everyone should have a copy of this book.

This is an inspiring book both children and adults would enjoy!

Though I'd never read the original books in their entirety, this was a wonderful read.

I loved the way the innocence and imagination of childhood, gratitude and awe of creation, as well as lessons of forgiveness were depicted.

This book would also help with vocabulary building, as Anne uses some bigger words in the story to express herself and her surroundings.

I highly recommend this book for parents trying to instill a love for reading in their young daughters.

Wow! I’m a huge Anne fan and have multiple copies, including kids’ versions, graphic novels, etc.
But this new adapted version might be my favourite yet for young readers. (We have and enjoy Katherine Woodfine’s Pride and Prejudice retelling, so I’m not surprised). She has captured all the important parts and so many of the best lines! A great intro to the world of Anne and I could read it over and over.
And the illustrations are absolutely stunning. So beautifully illustrated. I will definitely be adding a physical copy to my collection!

Charming. Absolutely charming. Lovely, beautiful illustrations.

I was both delighted with this illustrated retelling of the story of "Anne of Green Gables" and the fact that I actually remembered much of the story from my decades ago reading. Some stories stick with you and this is one of them. The smart, imaginative Anne that I remembered is here. The format is lovely and, oh, my, the illustrations are just perfect. It's easy to envision them being framed and hanging on ones walls.

The story is universal. A young girl, having lost her parents, has to find her way in a new family and setting. Anne is likable and occasionally full of mischief but determined to convince her new family to allow her to stay. She's smart and also driven to be successful, ultimately making friends while enjoying the enchanting Green Gables. It was a delight to experience her growing up all over again and such a sweet ending.

The story is a classic and my brief synopsis leaves much out but the book will fill that void, managing to retain the main plot points while making the story more concise and accessible to young readers. I haven't looked it up but do recall the original being lengthy to my own young eyes, so that is surely a plus. My thanks to #NetGalley and #NosyCrowInc for allowing me to revisit my childhood with Anne as I watch her grow up.

October has always been a favorite month for me, with it's crisp air, misty mornings and trees covered in crimson, gold and orange leaves.

And as October is my favorite month, Anne of Green Gables has always been a favorite read since my childhood. It's a feel good read, and a classic I will always recommend.

This book was a great adaption to a classic tale! Perfect for younger readers, yet holds true to the original story.

The illustrations in this book are gorgeous, and I loved them! So sweet and lovely.

Anne's tale is full of the innocence and dreams of childhood, and yet there's a deep coming of age twist near the end that always hits you in the feels when you reread it.

This is a book I'd definitely recommend to any reader, but it's especially perfect for younger ones.

I've loved this story for as long as I can remember and now that I have a young bookworm in my house, I couldn't wait to check out this adapted version for early readers. The illustrations are numerous, and charming; perfectly suited for capturing kid's attention as they discover this quintessential tale about finding your place. I did occasionally feel like the passage of time was confusing, but that might just be because of my familiarity with the original. The essence of each character and the tone of the story are consistent with the source material. If you're a fan of Anne and want to introduce her to the budding young reader in your life, this adaptation is a great choice!

Beautifully simplified version of Anne of Green Gables for less complicated reading levels. As a reluctant reader I think I could have enjoyed this. There are beautiful illustrations included.
