I love a good cozy mystery and Vannetta Chapman is the best at writing them. This isn't a new series but it's been on my list to read for a few years now. Glad I finally picked it up!

There's a new setting and new characters that I'm looking forward to getting to know better in the following books. The setting is a quaint little shopping village in Middlebury, Indiana. And of course there's been a mysterious death. Lots of little plot twists along the way made it an interesting read.

I enjoyed the dual stories about the budding romances between the English couple, Amber and Tate and the Amish couple, Hannah and Jesse. Patricia is the sister of the deceased victim. Her story is complex and we don't know the totality of it until the story is finished. We're also introduced to Preston who is a homeless veteran. He has an interesting story and I'm wondering if he'll show up in the next books. I hope so!

If you're like me and missed reading this when it first came out I recommend you pick this series up. It's a delightful read set it a lovely little village with interesting characters. What more could you want?
