This is the first book in the series, the Bookish Billionaires of Maple Valley. It's a whip-smart, high-energy romance with laugh-out-loud humor that hits all the right romantic comedy notes. Jane is seriously crushing on billionaire Bryan. He has a love of books that rivals her own. But that crush quickly sizzles out when he costs Jane her job. Jane is a librarian assistant and Bryan donates a robot to the library that helps sorts books, basically causing Jane's unemployment. She understandably now hates him. But when she meets him in person, she can't help but like him, no matter how hard she tries otherwise.

The chemistry between Bryan and Jane crackles on every page, fueled by their shared love of books. Perfect if you're in the mood for sort of an enemies-to-lovers romance with characters who are as interesting as they are endearing, and you can't help root for them.

Jane is a high spirited assistant librarian who makes videos with a robot that was donated to the library by a billionaire (Bryan) that shelves all the return books; but because of the robot she ends up getting fired for redundancy.
Jane longs for Bryan during his videos and we find out that Bryan has been doing the same with Jane.
In this short read - there is the chase between Bryan and Jane that she continues to fight off… Cute Small Town Story mixed with Hot Heavy Romance
Quick Read for an afternoon - will probably read book two of the Bookish Billionaire of Maple Valley Series
Best Quote : His Library due date card boxers tent around what is clearly an opus, not a novella

This was a really cute romance. It was a pretty short book. Which was just what wanted. The main couple was so cute together and their banter was so perfect!

This was a short and super cute book with librarian x billionaire, enemies to lovers romance. The spice was good and the characters were really likeable.

The main characters share a love for books and the MMC has a personal library with floor-to-ceiling books and a rolling ladder😍

If you like short, fast-paced contemporary romance and romcoms, then you will enjoy this novella.

Thank you so much Danika Bloom, Mia Sands
and Netgalley for this ARC copy!

Well, it was simply not for me. Though I feel it would be a great and entertaining read for someone who enjoyed the likes of That Time I got Drunk and Saved the Villain.

Local hottie billionaire Bryan invents a shelving robot and donates it to the library where Jane works as a library assistant, unfortunately resulting in Jane's obsolescence and subsequent unemployment. Little do either of them know that they're each other's heart-eyed fans on social media. Can you call it a slow burn romance if they've been drooling over each other's social media feeds long before they ever met? Jane definitely had insta-lust with his book-nerd library (me too Jane), not to mention with the book nerd himself (and vice versa). Short and sweet, nothing heavy or deep here: a few laughs, some steam, a few ups and downs, and an HEA.

Thank you to NetGalley for an eARC of this book, this is my objective review.

Thank you Net Galley, Mia Sands and Danika Bloom for the chance to read this book.

I’m not big on novellas usually, but this book was short, sweet, spicy and I really enjoyed it. It was a quick easy read and the characters are very likable. Also, nothing is hotter than a man to talk books with you and wear library boxers.

I enjoyed the setting of this novella, a library and a billionaire book boyfriends obsessed with books. The intimacy in this book felt too instant, however, really enjoyed these characters.

This was a cute novella, a nice book to take you out of a reading slump in case you need it or just something to read when you can't fall asleep. It's cute, but... short. I am not books need to be longer to be a great romance, but this one definitely suffers from being too short and the jump to saucy stuff and romance feels too sudden.

But overall a cute romance between a nice librarian and a sexy billionaire who has the library of my dreams.

"Shelve that Billionaire" by Mia Sands and Danika Bloom is a charming and witty romantic comedy that pits small-town charm against tech-driven disruption. The story follows a librarian who loses her job to a robot created by Bryan Brooks, a smexy tech billionaire. Despite her initial animosity, sparks fly as she gets to know the man behind the machine.

The protagonist’s journey from resentment to romance is engaging and relatable, with plenty of humor and heartfelt moments. Bryan’s combination of tech genius and literary passion adds depth to his character, making him more than just a billionaire heartthrob.

Sands and Bloom expertly weave together themes of love, technology, and personal growth. The tension between the protagonist and Bryan is well-developed, and their evolving relationship is both believable and delightful. The backdrop of the small-town library and Bryan's personal library, complete with floor-to-ceiling books and a rolling ladder, provides a charming setting for their story.

While the premise of a tech billionaire disrupting a small-town life might seem far-fetched, the authors manage to ground the story with authentic emotions and sharp dialogue. Some readers might find the resolution a bit predictable, but the journey there is enjoyable and filled with memorable moments.

Overall, "Shelve that Billionaire" is a fun and heartwarming read that will appeal to fans of contemporary romance and romantic comedies. Sands and Bloom’s ability to blend humor, romance, and literary references makes this novel a delightful escape.

This was a cute novella, with a little spice thrown in.

Jane loves her job as an assistant librarian. She also loves the shelving robot that she accidentally names Byron. She also just happens to have a huge crush on the billionaire Bryan who created Byron and donated him to her library. Her huge crush quickly turns to hate when she loses her job to the robot.

Bryan in a billionaire who loves to tinker, build robots, read, and watch Jane's videos with the robot Byron. When he sees her last video stating that it will be her last, he will do anything to keep her there.

This book is a very short novella, things happen really quickly. I would have loved for it to be a little longer so that their relationship could grow. It all seemed a little rushed to me. I did love the epilogue that gave us a look into the future.

There were some really cute book related romantic gestures from Bryan and Jane. I am looking forward to the next book.

Thank you Maple Laughs Romance and Netgalley for this book in exchange for my very honest review. This book was reviewed and posted on Goodreads on 5/29/2024.

Thank you to Netgalley for the ARC of Shelve that Billionaire.

I actually liked this book a lot more than I thought I would. For such a short book it was a cute romance about a librarian and a billionaire. I understand which a short book the romance has to be faster paced and there was times when it did feel a little rushed but that is to be expected.
Bryan's library also sounds like a dream.

Let me begin by saying I am an instalove fan. This book however was not executed well. The second half of the book was better than the first. The beginning was disconnected and when they finally "got together" there was ZERO buildup. I am all for quick especially due to being a novella, but even a few sentences would have helped. The second half seemed to flow better, I am not sure if one half was written by one author and the other half a different one. As I said, I was expecting a fluffy, instalove, billionaire story and I was still disappointed. I will read the next one in hope of redemption.
