Fletch is finally getting his HEA! I can't explain how excited I am about this. Destiny seems like his complete opposite: young, fun-loving, and expressive. There is no way that these two could ever work as a couple, and they both know it. But the chemistry is crazy, and they have an awful lot to talk about, and they work together really well. Okay, they can be a couple for a little while, but this could never last forever. Right?
This whole book is filled with all kinds of crazy shenanigans. Destiny is a hoot, and Fletch finally loosens up around her. He shows her that he understands her losses and struggles, and he is so thoughtful. Their fun is infectious, and I laughed a lot while reading this. It was everything I hoped for.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it’s so heartwarming and I just loved the characters and I just love Melissa Fosters’ books.
I would like to thank Montlake and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book early.

Adorably witty and oh so delightfully spicy!
This one brings all the cozies, like a big, warm hug from the author straight to my romcom loving heart! Fletch and Destiny will remind you of everything you didn't even know you forgot about love. SO GOOD!
An absolute must read!!!

Destiny has always wanted to own her business, not just any business but an engagement planning business. After moving to be closer to her best friend and helping her out as a dog groomer, she makes the jump to start her business. When Destiny meets Fletch, he earns his nickname Grumpy Gus for his attitude towards love. Fletch is a professor that after his divorce doesn’t believe in love or HEA. When they are at an event that Destiny planned and it goes totally wrong, these two make the decision to fake date. Fletch will help Destiny with her business while she goes as his date to a wedding. What neither of them realize is that fake dating tends to become actual dating without anyone knowing it has happened. It is within those moments that Melissa shines in her writing. Showcasing these two falling in love that brings laughter and some tears. Love is never easy, and you have to both want to make it work and I love how we see them both fight for it once they realize it is worth everything.
I always love how Melissa writes her grumpy/sunshine trope as it brings a smile to my face watching our grumpy guy smile for his girl and give her everything he didn’t realize he was capable of.

this was a sweet book, I thought the premise was fun and different!
I did fee like some of the aspects were a bit frustrating, but I think that has to do with how the characters did/say things. so I believe it's a personal thing and not because of the author! LOL
I enjoyed that there was a dog and cat throughout the book, really made you smile through it all. I do wish we saw more of the mmc's career. you know what he does, but I wish we got a little bit more of like a day in his life like we did with the fmc.
it did feel a bit messy, confusing, but again I think that was just a me thing!
overall, it was a sweet book! would recommend to certain people!

This story was perfect from beginning to end. What a journey. It gives all the feels and is thought provoking. The characters are wonderful. Watching their love blossom is enchanting. While this is my first book by this Author is will definitely not be my last. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good love story with a side of spice.

4.5 stars
There are very few books labeled rom-coms that are really what I would consider comedy. This story does have a lot of laughs and fun. Still not a true comedy in my opinion, but it at least tries to hit that mark. The customer/dog groomer relationship of the grumpy/sunshine duo Fletch and Destiny is almost hostile in the beginning, but it quickly evolves into an intense and unlikely friendship neither of them knew they needed.
For someone who has sworn off love, Fletch loves hard. His friends, his family, his dog. Anyone in Fletch’s orbit ends up showered in love. It may not be in the way we see in movies or in any traditional way, but he is a man of action and small gestures. Something that Destiny notices as much as she tries not to. Fletch is not her ideal man and, even if he was, he can never give her what she needs. He’s anti-marriage and she wants the fairy tale.
If only these two dummies would open their eyes to their relationship and see that they’re living a true romance with each other. And they are ridiculously happy while doing so! I love the way Destiny and Fletch took such care of each other without sacrificing their own needs. I especially loved how everyone around them, even those in on their fake dating secret, could see how much they loved each other. Their journey made me laugh and cry while giving me a swarm of warm fuzzies.
While this author’s stories are all interwoven, the books she writes for Montlake can be read as true standalone stories. This one may have a cameo or two from the Sugar Lake series and the Harmony Pointe series, but not knowing those characters will in no way interfere with the flow of this story.

The Mr. Right Checklist (Kindle Edition) by Melissa Foster
I loved this book - both Fletch and Destiny have a ton of baggage - but they make it through. Wonderful family and friends - cut pets and lot of laughs and some tears get us to a very HEA.
Reasons I enjoyed this book:
Happily Ever After Great world building Romantic Informative Easy-to-read Entertaining Wonderful characters Witty Page-turner Tear-jerker Steamy.

What an amazing story of loss and healing, and finding your Mr. Right to help you do just about anything, even if he is grumpy at first! Destiny will win your heart in this one! Melissa rocked her story! 5 Mr. Right stars!
Destiny is still somewhat new in town, working as a dog groomer part time with her bestie Ruby who convinced her to move there after losing her dad. She's a spitfire, and butts heads with Fletch where his dog is concerned. For the most part, aside from Ruby, Destiny is alone, and ready to start her new business of helping people plan their marriage proposal, but her first client, is crazy, and wants to propose to none other than Fletch, only problem is, he's her teacher and there is no relationship. Epic first fail on her first proposal.
Fletch is a grumpy dog dad. He was hurt from his first marriage, and vowed never to let his heart fall again. When his stalker plans a proposal, he can't believe Destiny is behind it. When he finds her wallet and shows up at her house, he decides to help her make her business the dream she wants it to be, albeit legally!
The chemistry between these two is off the charts, Destiny is a force, and Fletch, while he like to live a life of order, falls under her spell! You're going to fall in love with these two, don't miss out, grab it asap!

I really, really enjoyed this opposites attract, grumpy sunshine, friends to lovers, fake dating romance between Ryan 'Fletch,' a hot divorced professor and his dog groomer, Destiny who is trying to start up a marriage proposal business but needs a lot of help. Fletch offers to help Destiny get her ducks in a row if she'll help him by posing as his girlfriend at his brother's wedding. The more time they spend together, the more they fall but will Fletch be willing to take another chance on love and can Destiny reconcile her perfect man checklist to match him? LOVED THIS one!! It was great on audio, had a fantastic cast of characters, fun pet sidekicks, lots of swoony moments and steamy scenes. 10/10 recommend. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early digital and audio copy in exchange for my honest review!

Yes! Yes! Yes! A thousand times yes! This was such a great read! Funny, sweet, heartwarming, spicy, and with adorable pets, this story is perfect!
The story of Destiny and Fletch flows seamlessly and before you know it, some hours have passed and you have reached the middle of the book, and you are so invested in the story, you need to get back.
The characters are so well written and they are so relatable that you feel like you discover new friends, and not book characters.
Destiny is the quintessential positive character, the ray of sunshine that Fletch needed in his life. They learned so much from the other, and they grew so much together, that it was mesmerizing to see.
I loved the writing so much, that I had the urge to constantly highlight passages.
It is a brilliant story that I highly recommend! It will leave you smiling for days and your soul will feel lighter for weeks!

Destiny and Fletch’s story is such a fun and swoony story full of heart, hope and heat. The Grumpy/Sunshine trope is on point, the banter is fun and the sexy times steamy.
Whenever the world feels to heavy, Melissa Foster stories are like a balm to the soul - Definitely guaranteed to lift your spirits and your heart.

4.5/5⭐️
Destiny first meets Fletch at the pet grooming salon where she works. Her first impression of him is that he is grumpy. An unfortunate incident involving her first client somehow leads Fletch to help Destiny with her new business, Get The Yes!, which focuses on helping others to propose.
While Fletch is serious and reserved, Destiny is fun and out-going. In exchange for helping her with her business, Destiny agrees to be his fake date at his brother’s wedding to rescue him from his overbearing family. As they spend more time together, they soon become close friends but can Fletch overcome his past to be with Destiny?
I loved how Destiny brings her sunshine joy to everyone, and not just Fletch. I can totally imagine how infectious her smiles and laughs are – making it impossible for Fletch to let her go. It was so lovely to see her finding her found family – who will be there to support her when her parents are unable to.
Despite Fletch’s aversion to love and marriage, he ends up supporting Destiny all the way in planning and setting up her business. I loved how the caring side of him appears when she is down with grief and sick at home. The despair he feels when she is not around felt so real. I am definitely praying to the stars for them to end up together!

What a fun and sexy story as Destiny and Fletch start out with sparks - but not good ones. He's Mr. Grumpy Gus, she's all sunshine and rainbows. Things start to take a turn when they start working together after a less-than ideal encounter when her new business takes an unpleasant turn. Plenty of ups and downs and moments that had me laughing out loud as the story progresses and left me wanting more of these two.

Oh this was such a fun and joyful read! Destiny at first comes off a little flaky and Ryan/Fletch a bit too grumpy, but that first impression is quickly forgotten when these two start interacting and getting to know each other.
Destiny has maintained a sunshine and in love with love personality despite the loss of both her parents. She has fabulous memories of them and keeps them in the center of her life by talking to them and understanding what they’d tell her.
Ryan is closed off emotionally after a divorce 10 years prior and he’s not interested in more than very casual dating. Destiny hits his life like a hurricane sweeping him up into her super positive outlook and infectious attitude.
I loved the no-stop banter and fun with Destiny and Ryan. She fits into his life, friends and family seamlessly and it’s so entertaining and enjoyable to watch happen.
I received a free ARC from the author; and I am voluntarily leaving an unbiased review.

The Mr Right Checklist is one of the most captivating grumpy/sunshine romances I have read to date. Destiny has lost so much but she radiates positivity, love and so much energy. She is quirky, funny and I love how she says exactly what she thinks and feels and doesn’t really hold back. Fletch is a man with a wall so high around his heart no one should be able to scale it but Destiny was always one to try to reach for the stars. What was to be a fake relationship with an expiry seems to grow wings and fly without either of these two realizing. The development between these two takes them both by surprise and in the end could cost them both what they really want and need. Fletch was far more romantic than he thought he was and I loved that he listened to every word that Destiny rambled. A story filled with witty banter, entertaining moments and a love that will steal your heart and soul.

This is one of those reads you don’t forget, it’s well written with characters you can relate too and more importantly it leaves you smiling. I was captivated from the first page to the last line and even then I wanted more. This is grumpy professor Ryan “Fletch” Fletcher and dog groomer and marriage-proposal Destiny Amor’s entertaining story.
Destiny believes there is a person and love for everybody and Ryan believes the complete opposite after a messy divorce. But his family are determined to find him the love of his life and rather than have them find a date for him for his brothers wedding he asks his dog groomer Destiny to fake date him and in return he will help her get her marriage-proposal business off the ground…… problem is what happens when real feeling's come into play. I loved everything about this book, I fell hard and fast for Ryan and I adored Destiny but it was the smile I was left with that took this book to another level. I highly recommend this book to all romance lovers.

Fletch and Destiny. Ryry and Sunshine. I devoured this book. I absolutely adore Melissa Foster's writing and this book did not disappoint. I was drawn in immediately - so many funny scenes. I never wanted their story to end. Loved the friendship between Fletch and Destiny. Ryan Fletcher is one swoony guy and the way he took care of his "friend" Destiny was incredible. So many sweet emotional moments. I went from laughing to tearing up multiple times. You are 100% missing out if you don't read this book. SO GOOD!!!!

This is A Standalone Romance and it is Destiny and Ryan’s ( Fletch ) story and omg it is definitely a must read. Destiny works with her best friend at the vets and she also decides to take the step to start her own website which is called ‘ Get The Yes ‘ which is a marriage proposal business and she had wanted to do this for so long that it had become her dream so imagine her excitement when she gets her first client and she hopes that everything goes well and it also works out because it means so much too her. Fletch is a professor at Beckwith University where he teaches Sociology which he loves because it means that he can educate and shape young minds but Fletch doesn’t do relationships or commitments of any kind after his failed marriage so he just concentrate’s and spends time with his students, his dog Molly and his best friend Talia who is also a colleague at the university so he is always busy and doesn’t have time or patience for anything else other than his family. When Destiny’s first’Get The Yes Proposal’ goes totally wrong and is a complete disaster she wonders if she should give up but Fletch steps in and offers to help her with the business side of it to make sure that she had everything covered and also help get it off the ground which meant that they ended up spending a lot of time together but Destiny had a list of her Mr Right and Fletch is totally unavailable so they just spend time and become great friends while working together but it doesn’t stop either of them still wanting the other one but unfortunately there friendship is so important to them both and neither are prepared to lose that strong connection that they have built with each other. The attraction and chemistry between Destiny and Fletch is so strong and they are so perfect together and for each other but will they take that chance to say how they feel before it is too late and they end up losing something so special and also their future together. This book will take you on a rollercoaster ride of so many different emotions and I cried so many times with everything that Destiny had gone through and lost from such a young age but she was still bright, positive, happy and full of sunshine and wasn’t afraid to try and reach for the stars in what she wanted out of life and I am so glad that she got everything that she wanted and deserved in the end and I loved how she brought Fletch through from being grumpy to taking that chance again on love. I couldn’t put this book down and read it in one sitting because I had too keep turning the pages to see what would happen next along with being so addictive and I also what the outcome would be for them both in the end and I definitely wasn’t disappointed. Melissa Foster is an amazing author and writer and she certainly knows how to keep her readers attention throughout and engaged in her stories and I can’t wait to read more books in the future.

Destiny and Fletch—oh, where to begin? As someone who has a male cat with a feminine name, I approve. Clementine-Destiny's cat meet Buttercup- mine. Our story begins with Grumpy Gus not liking bows in his beloved Berner's hair.. poor Molly who doesn't like a fancy bow? Mix in a little bit of what could go wrong when you are trying to launch a business and we have the beginning of Grumpy Gus realizing maybe the second time around isn't so bad. I fell head over heels in love with these characters.
