The was a cute read.
Holly has been in love with the wrong guy for way too long. She has now made it her mission to find "the one". All of her dates are always at the same bar. Most of them are not great. When one goes exceptionally bad, she is rescued by the bartender Max.
Jax has finally reached his goal of being a wilderness guide. He cannot wait to start his new business. He has just a few things he needs to do before he moves his life. Why not add helping Holly find "the one" to his list?
The narrators did a good job. Abigail Reno narrated Holly's chapters, and David Bendena narrated Jax's chapters. Both of their voices fit the characters. I was able to easily tell when a new character was speaking. I thought the pacing was a little slow, but there were appropriate pauses to indicate a new chapter. I did have to increase the reading speed because I found myself getting impatient and losing concentration.
The story follows both characters trying not to fall for each other but for very different reasons.
If you like a jealous, reluctant MMC and a happy go lucky MFC, you will love this book.
Thank you Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for this audiobook for my very honest review.

‘The Quit List’ by Katie Bailey is a sweet rom-com featuring Holly, who has gone on a string of awful dates, and impromptu dating coach, Jax. The banter in this one is great, and I loved watching the two leads go from strangers to friends to lovers. It’s been a while since I’ve read a closed-door romance, and it was SUCH a breath of fresh air. I’m not usually a huge spice girl when it comes to my romance books, and I thought Bailey did a fantastic job at creating a relationship full of chemistry without having an open door.
The friendship between Holly and Jax was probably my favorite part. I loved how easy and natural it was for them to fall into a friendship, and watching it slowly blossom into something more was beautiful. The Quit List was a solid three stars for me. I enjoyed it and I have 0 regrets about listening to it, but I probably won’t ever reread it. I have several friends who would love this though, so I will definitely recommend it to them!
As this was an audiobook, I’ll take a second to address the narrators. They were excellent! I thought they both captured the characters' personalities well, and I would not hesitate to listen to something that either of them read again.

4 Stars The Quit List is an adorable strangers-to-friends-to-lovers, closed door/low spice romance!
Holly Green has been on many, many terrible dates, but she won't quit on finding the one. Jax Grainger quit believing in love a long time ago and isn't interested in a commitment. When bartender/wilderness guide Jax saves Holly from one of her dates gone bad, he sparks a friendship with Holly and gives her pointers on how to land better dates to find the one. The more Jax helps Holly with her "quit list" to move on from what she doesn't want in a relationship, the more she realizes Jax is exactly the guy she's looking for.
This was a really cute, quick read. I loved the growth of both Holly and Jax throughout the story as they reconsidered what they wanted for their love lives. The dual POV narration was excellent and the narrators did a wonderful job as Holly and Jax. A sweet story if you are looking for a quick break from more steamier reads or thoroughly enjoy closed door romance.

Holly wants to find her happily ever after but she did not expect to find Jax Grainger, a hot bartender, who agrees to help her find her man. They had an adorable meet cute in the bar when Jax works and from that point on, he was really jealous of any other guy who was near her. He was protective and wanted to take care of her at all time and Holly was soaking up his attention. Holly deserved someone who was going to take care of her, but I also loved how she wanted to help Jax get his business set up. They really were such a perfect friends to lovers trope.

A cute romance about friends to lovers with a classic trope of the "friend" helping our leading lady find the "perfect" man. The banter is hilarious in this novel and I loved the narrators. I recommend for an easy summer read!

This was super cute. I mean, the man named his dog 'Rick' after Rick Astley because he was a rescue and he wanted to know it was his forever home. Adorable.
There's no spicy scenes, just some steamy kisses despite there being only one tent, but also no third act breakup so loved that for me.

Thank you Dreamscape Media and Katie Bailey for this advanced copy of the audiobook for The Quit List.
The Quit List tells the story of Holly, a young woman trying to find her future husband after wasting years on a guy who put her on the back burner. She meets Jax, a commitment-phobic bartender/wilderness guide who watches her fail miserably at dating. Together they decide to help coach Holly in dating, in the classic romcom dating coach style.
Of course along the way they fall for each other.
I love Holly and Jax’s friendship in this book, and how opposites attract they were. They truly felt meant for each other by the end of the book. The book was a sweet slow burn that left me feeling like gooey melted chocolate by the end.

In the realm of romance literature, where desire and longing reign supreme, this book stands out as a true gem. From the very first page, it effortlessly transports readers into a world where every glance, every touch, pulses with raw emotion. What sets this book apart is its masterful portrayal of the friend zone – a space where platonic affection evolves into something deeper, something palpably electric.
Throughout the story, the slow-burning romance is expertly crafted, leaving readers eagerly anticipating each moment, each revelation. The chemistry between the characters is undeniable, and the tension builds with every interaction, making the eventual culmination all the more satisfying.
But what truly sets this book apart is its ability to evoke genuine emotion. Whether it's the flutter of butterflies at the mere thought of a kiss or the ache of longing as two souls yearn for each other, every emotion feels authentic and relatable.
And then there's the kiss – a moment so beautifully rendered that it's impossible not to feel a flutter in your own heart. It's a testament to the author's skill in capturing the essence of romance and distilling it into a single, unforgettable moment.
This book is an immersive experience. It's a journey of the heart that will stay with you long after you've turned the final page. If you're a fan of romance literature that's equal parts heartwarming and heart-wrenching, then this is a must-read.

I loved the book so I wanted to check out the audiobook. I am pleased to say the audiobook is fantastic!
The narrators do a wonderful job bringing the story to life. They definitely embodied the characters.
The Quit List was fun from start to finish. I loved the characters, the setting, and the plot. I fell in love with this story. Everything about it was perfection. The romance was swoon worthy & adorable. Definitely for fans who love the grumpyxsunshine and dating lessons.

This was the first time that I’ve read a Katie Bailey book, but it definitely won’t be the last. I loved this book so much. It was adorable and laugh out loud funny. The banter between Holly and Jax was absolute perfection. The dual POV was perfect for getting to know both characters. I loved how Holly and Jax were able to bring out each other’s strengths and that they actually communicated with each other. Their relationship was so refreshing! Grab this one if you are looking for a fun and sweet romance.
The audio was really well done. I love dual narrators and both Abigail Reno and David Bendena were able to bring Holly and Jax to life!

This book was so dang cute! I liked the cameos from previous book! I loved their banter and the getting to know you phase. Jax is so great and I love that he helped Holly find herself.
Thank you Dreamscape media for ALC

This is the flirtiest book I’ve ever read! A great read, I got myself comfortable and enjoyed Jax and Holly’s playful flirty banter. I was surprised to read how all the MCs from previous books are connected, really cool.
ALC: reading the book was very fun but listening to Jax sounding all flirty was a whole new level of joy.

The Quit List is a delightful audiobook that expertly blends humor, chemistry, and romance. Holly Greene is determined to find her Prince Charming, and Jax Grainger is definitely not it—until their paths unexpectedly intertwine. Holly's quest for love leads her to enlist Jax's help in finding Mr. Right, but the witty banter and undeniable tension between them suggest she might have already met him. The story is full of laugh-out-loud moments and heartfelt scenes, making it an engaging listen from start to finish. Perfect balance of humor and romance.
