Deputy Jenna Hart is working in Pearl Springs as a deputy. This is her hometown, and someone is killing former city officials. Agent Maxwell Anderson form the TBI formally worked with Jenna years ago in Chattanooga he is investigating the death threats on a senator from Pearl Springs. Max and Jenna have a strong connection to each other and working together again has restarted the attraction. They think the two killings and attempt on the senator are about the dam-built years ago. Someone is also after Jenna, and it looks like they have followed her from Chattanooga to take revenge. Wonderful story line, great suspense.

Deputy Jenna Hart is now working in her hometown and is being targeted by a killer. Max Anderson is a TBI agent and also her former boss when they both worked in the Chattanooga Police Department. He is in town and assisting with the investigation. As they work together to solve several murders and attempts on Jenna's life, they are rediscovering their friendship and seeing where it leads. This is a great read and I recommend it.

The author does a fantastic job of weaving two different stories together. Shunned after being shot in Chattanooga, Detective Jenna Hart moved back to Pearl River where her home is. The case involving that shooting was never really completely solved. Is it possible that it followed her to her hometown? Or why is she being followed, her house broken into and other questionable things happening?

Pearl River is hosting the rally for former mayor Harrison Carter, who is hoping to be elected to the senate. Threats have Tennessee Bureau of Investigation agent Max Anderson in town to help with security. However, former councilmen seem to be dying - accidentally? Alexis Stone, Chief Deputy, does not think these are random. Will Jenna, Max and the others discover what is going on before someone else dies?

Deadly Revenge, third of the Pearl River series, is a suspenseful story that kept me turning the pages with interest and anticipation. Jenna Hart left Chattanooga PD after getting shot in a surveillance watch that went wrong and returned home to Pearl Springs to work as a Deputy. When local former and current politicians are targeted, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation agent and Jenna's old boss Max Anderson is assigned the case because a Senate candidate is threatened. There is so much going on in Pearl Springs, unresolved anger from many years ago, and Jenna's past appears to be in play. Great characters, danger, action, and a multilayered mystery to unravel as well as a little romance make this book hard to put down. Highly recommended.

A fast paced, intense romantic thriller that takes up on a heart pounding journey! Full of twists and turns and never lacking in suspense, you will find this book difficult to put down.

When he and Jenna cross paths, sparks immediately fly and old feelings rekindled. As they race to figure out who is targeting former officials in Pearl Springs, it soon becomes evident another plan is at play but this one against Jenna personally. This book is an excellent addition to the series! It kept me captivated and I hated to see it end. Great characters that you are really drawn to and lots of suspense and danger to keep you glued to the page.

INTRIGUING ROMANTIC SUSPENSE

I am a fan of writers who can plan spectacular novels full of intrigue, mystery, mayhem, murder, and suspense, leading the two main characters to romance. Author Patricia Bradley manages to do this and more in her latest release, Deadly Revenge (Pearl River Book #3). In my opinion, this is Bradley’s best writing to date. She has given more depth to her returning characters of Deputy Jeanna Hart, who has been working on the police force in Pearl River, and Agent Maxwell Anderson of the Chatanooga Police Department. Bradley developed a timely plot that involves trying to solve the mystery surrounding why city officials are suddenly dying and not from natural causes, even if that is what their deaths look like at first glance. Someone or a group is attempting their version of vigilante justice to right a wrong committed against many of the town's landowners when a dam was constructed. Jeanna and Max take on the duty of tracking the killer before a political rally where the former mayor is running for the US Senate.

I enjoyed this novel from start to finish. It kept my attention, and the characters were credible, which made it easy to choose sides. I highly recommend this novel!

Past kills and current kills come together to be figured out in this book. A book about revenge that made it hard to put this book down. I finished it over one weekend. The small town setting is a perfect backdrop to this story.

Deadly Revenge by Patricia Bradley is the first book I’ve read of her long list of mystery/suspense novels. The twists and turns kept me turning pages. Try as I might, I couldn’t decipher this mystery until the culprit was revealed. I’m looking forward to reading many more of her stories.

This book was so good! I never would have guessed the murderer. I tried…and failed. Now I’m overjoyed. The best books are always the ones that surprise me. And Patricia did it! I absolutely loved Max and Jenna. He definitely stood up for her and believed in her even when she thought she might have been losing it. I was a little disappointed that you don’t really get to read about the kids that Max and Jenna take care of, but that’s a small thing. I would highly recommend!

Officer Jenna Hart returns to her hometown for a change of pace after being injured in a drug incident gone wrong in Chattanooga. But things in the sleepy town of Pearl Springs turn sinister when people die in mysterious circumstances. TBI agent, Max Anderson, was Jenna’s boss in Chattanooga. Max is in town to set up security for a notable politician, and shows up at a crime scene surprising Jenna. While helping each other seek out clues, they wonder what might have been in their past relationship.
This was a complicated, whodunit plot that kept me guessing. And the psychological games that the bad guy was playing with, Jenna had me on pins and needles. The romance was slow, but showed how Jenna and Max were learning to rely on each other. There was a solid faith thread that focused on the clear difference between right and wrong, looking to God for guidance and acknowledging that He is in control.
Do not miss this intriguing story of second chances and mysteries unresolved in the past.

I loved this third book in the PearlRiver series. Lots of mystery and suspense. Jenna and Max get together again to solve the murders. Great Christian romantic suspense.

This was my second Patricia Bradley novel. I enjoyed the mystery/suspense, but because I hadn’t read some of the other novels that mentioned the other characters, I felt like their parts in the novel were a little disconnected, kinda like being on the outside of an inside joke. I enjoyed the main characters, the action, and the story line. I’d definitely read another book by this author, and maybe go back and read some of the previous novels so I”ll be a cool kid in the know about the rest of the gang. The glimpses I got made them seem intriguing :)

This was another great romantic suspense novel by Patricia Bradley! This is the 3rd book in the Pearl River series. It can stand completely alone, but to have the background of the side characters in this one, it's best to have read the series in order. This book follows Deputy Jenna Hart. Fans of the series will know who she is and it's good to finally get some of her story. There were a couple of intertwining plots going on with this one, which kept me turning pages and wondering if they were connected. Three years ago when an op went awry, Jenna suffered PTSD after getting shot. Now back in her hometown, she begins to question her own sanity when things start happening that she can't explain and can't prove. In the meantime, politicians from 20 years prior start receiving threats and begin turning up dead. Can they solve the case(s) before someone else is murdered?

I enjoyed the small town feel of this book, and the fact that there was romantic history between the main characters so that the romance didn't feel so fast paced. I also enjoyed the many threads woven into this story that kept the multiple mystery elements interesting. There was a more subtle but present faith thread included as well. The suspense element was well done and though I thought I knew who the culprit was, it turns out I really didn't. There were parts of the story that felt a bit redundant, but overall this was a great romantic suspense novel and a great ending to this series. This Christian romantic suspense was flowing well for me. I was engaged and coming back for more. A second chance for our law enforcement MCs. There are a few mysteries and dangers swirling around in Tennessee this book. There was a nice side of family in this book. And faith, of course. I’m going with a 4.5 for this book. I dropped my rating half a star because I realized three quarters of the way through, that if they had simply installed one security camera, things would be VASTLY different. And I found it odd no one ever even mentioned the possibility.

This book is absolutely amazing.

The heart-pounding action keeps you on the edge of your seat, and the twists and turns keep you guessing.

The romantic aspect is mixed perfectly throughout, with some faith aspects woven throughout.

I was very happy to see Alex, Nathan, Dani, and Mark again as well. If you haven't read the previous books, you wouldn't have to, but I would recommend it. It's just so fun to see where the previous relationships are now.

Set an hour North of Chattanooga in the fictional town of Pearl Springs, Tennessee, Russell County Deputy Jenna Hart and Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Agent Maxwell Anderson are thrown together to protect a former mayor (now running for the US Senate) at his political rally.

Security detail is stressful enough, but when Jenna has the added pressure of working with her old boss and memories of her last ‘unpleasant’ interaction running through her mind, it’s difficult to set aside personal issues and focus on the task at hand. The thing is, she MUST. Two former city councilmen have been murdered and the killer has his sights set on the former mayor.

Things that worked really well:
✔️Interspersed chapters from the killer’s perspective; one with a grudge who is clearly set on revenge
✔️Main characters with a history and tension/smoldering attraction who must learn to work together
✔️Ex-fiance/dirty cop with possible drug connections who may be hampering an investigation
✔️Readers knowing more about the breaches in the FMC security

I love picking up a book to discover that it highlights flawed Christians who sometimes struggle to get it right. When I can identify with the struggle, I read to learn. So often I try to rely on myself (and fail, miserably) and books such as this one remind me to take the focus off my efforts and rely on God. I appreciated reading about characters who were blinded by love, struggled with starting over when the past kept calling, and were determined to make a difference in someone’s life.

Although the focus of this romantic suspense is revenge, I appreciated how the author wove in threads of faith and love to show how much more powerful they are when set against the human mindset of ‘getting even.’

If you are looking for a nail-biting romantic suspense that you’ll find difficult to set aside, grab a copy of Deadly Revenge.

I'll be searching out this author's backlist as I've really enjoyed this series. It's not really over, is it?!

Patricia Bradley always delivers a good read and Deadly Revenge is no exception. I throughly enjoyed the edge of your seat plot. I couldn’t put this book down. This book absolutely checked all my boxes for romantic suspense and I’m so glad I got to see Jenna and Max get their story.

I loved seeing old friends as I was taken deeper into Jenna and Max’s lives. It made both of them relatable and I could easily be their friend. The small town feel with the gossip, everybody knows everybody vibes made me think of the town where I grew up.

The suspense was perfectly paced, keeping me on the edge of my seat wondering what would come next. Is it a local out for revenge or did Jenna’s past follow her home? Only time and great police work will tell, along with a little reliance on God.

This book got better and better the further I got into the story. I recommend it.
