I loved the book. As usual the writer gave me a story that took me took me to a faraway land where the Knight saves the kingdom and the damsels who was not in distress. The story was beautiful told in so many ways. I laughed at moments when needed be, particularly when when Thor and his men tried Kidnapping Caledonia. The beautiful moments were between Caledonia and her daughters. I enjoyed the excitement of the action and the adventures between the clans as the hunted for the evil warriors who dare challenged Thor’s family. The book is very easy to read. It’s enjoyable. I definitely look forward to the next read.
I just love Thor. He is such a good, GOOD man to Caledonia and her three girls. What a terrible life Callie and her girls have had. The fact that this was a marriage of convenience, arranged by the king, could have had any number of outcomes-and not all good. But the MMC, Thor has a heart of gold and Callie and the girls were given a chance to become the people they were meant to be and to simply SHINE. Beautiful romance.
Thank you to netgalley for the ARC. Opinions are my own.
I have been wanting to read a mid evil book for a while and this book was just what I wanted. The romance was so good and I loved the main characters!
A Medieval Romance That Kept Me Turning the Pages
Caledonia and Thor start out as enemies. The king manipulates them to suit his purposes. However, the two enemies won’t be that for long because love gets in the way.
Thor thinks he is about to wed a wild woman, but once he understands her secrets, he knows there is more to her than meets the eye. He cannot help but fall in love with her, and the lady falls in love with her knight, too. However, before the two can find happiness, they must overcome many challenges, one of which is a greedy and dangerous villain. Caledonia’s uncle wants her riches for his own, and he will stop at nothing to get them. Battles will be fought, and blood will be spilled. Can love win the day? I enjoyed this story and would recommend it to lovers of medieval romantic adventures.

An enjoyable read from Kathryn.
Great characters and the story was very good, keeping me interested throughout.
Lots of action sequences, and some very tense moments.
I’m convinced all fans of Medieval Romance will enjoy this one.
I received an Arc copy of this book and chose to post this review
King Henry arranges a marriage between his Protector, Thor de Reyne and the heiress, Lady Caledonia de Wylde de Tosni. Destroyed by her first marriage, she doesn't want another marriage, she's happy to continue her visits to Gomorrah. Thor is compassionate, kind and sees a woman in pain. With patience, he starts to mend a broken lady and her children who don't know her. Unfortunately, her uncle sees this marriage thwarting his plans and plots for what he thinks belongs to him. Emotionally draining, but a wonderful love story. Mild descriptive sex.
I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of this book from NetGalley.
Umm, yes please!! This was soo good! Plot was entertaining and kept thing’s moving along nicely. A little spice here and there was nice too. All in all, a great book.
One Wylde Knight by Katherine Le Veque is vintage Le Veque with a maiden in trouble and a kind and generous knight ready to jump into the fray. In this case, the maiden is a widow, Lady Caledonia de Wylde de Tosni, who is supposedly being held against her will in a place called Gomorah, which didn’t sound promising. Thor de Reyne was the King’s Protector and bound to follow the man’s will. He had been torn between this father and his king for years now, each professing to want the best for him. After rescuing this woman, he was to marry her, per the king’s order. He didn’t want to be married, but again his duty to his king was paramount. With this marriage he would inherit two earldoms, which was not all that much of an incentive to Thor. When he and his men breached Gomorrah, he discovered the woman was not being held but was there voluntarily, not participating but watching. She had a story to tell. He was willing to listen.
Thor, as all of LeVeque’s heroes is handsome, strong, brace, and sensible. He could be kind and gentle when the time was right. What he discovered was abuse so profound he was nearly unable to process it. The lady was stronger than she looked, and responding to the first kindness she’d ever known started almost immediately. Callie had been abused by her father and then, her husband. She had had he daughters stolen from her, having been forbidden to see them. No wonder she wandered the taverns of London looking for more. Thor was his father’s son and had great respect for people until they proved they didn’t deserve it. It was a love story of major proportions. Thanks, Kathryn Le Veque for keeping these stories coming: excellent characters and creative storylines. Such a joy to read!
I was invited to read One Wyle Knight by Dragonblade. All thoughts and opinions are mine. #Netgalley #Dragonblade #KathrynLeVeque #OneWyldeKnight
When you read a Kathryn Le Veque story, the reader enters the medieval world of politics, castles, strong knights, intrique, and where marriages are often arranged for alliances and wealth instead of love by the order of the King or the girl's parents. Kathryn gave us passion, heartache, greed, nasty villains, selfishness, and even a chuckle or two.
I loved Caledonia and Thor from when they first met to the end of the book, what a journey they had!!!
Thor and Caledonia draw us into the story, and we stay with them throughout as they face challenge after challenge. Thor may be the King's Protector, and a powerful knight, but he also shows his soft heart, kindness, and patience to Calendonia.
What an amazing story!!!! Wish I could give it more than 5 stars!
This is a medieval romance from my favourite author. I'm never disappointed with any of her books.
Our hero this time is from the de Reyne family. King Henry will do anything to keep the man under his control, and not let him go back to his father. Luckily he knows what every man really wants.
Our heroine has been treated badly or completely ignored for years. She doesn't see why she should obey anyone now, even the King.
This is an action packed story from first to last page. Lots of giggles and some emotional moments. Some very nasty people who have not been held to account for too long are the villains. Greed, and selfishness the reasons for the problems.
Just because our hero is a battle hardened warrior that doesn't mean he hasn't got a soft heart.
I loved it.
That was one Wylde ride!
Thor is everything a gal could want in a hero, and everything we've come to expect from this author's leading men. Such a good man! And Caledonia brings all the Wylde to his life, quite against his will at first, but fate has amazing things in store for these two!
Thor and Callie put a lot of heart into cementing their new family bonds and I loved every bit of it. These are characters that will stay with you for a long time. I really enjoyed the pacing of this story, the history we're shown, and the atypical pairing.
As with every KLV story, I was instantly captivated and invested in these realistic characters. The action is tense and compelling, the relationships are heartfelt and insightful, the villains are beyond nefarious, and the final HEA is hard-fought and triumphant.
I have loved each and every one of the De Reyne Domination books that I've read, and heartily recommend this as the newest addition to the series. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
Thor is thoroughly duped by the King in this fast-paced and exciting romance when he is promised honor and power through his marriage to Lady Caledonia de Wylde. Led on by the Kind's demand that the lady needed rescuing, Thor finds the very opposite is true. Nevertheless, he sees in Caledonia a woman who has been deeply hurt and rejected, and having come from a loving family, he does whatever is necessary to win the lady over and charm her into marriage. I was not too sure about Caledonia's character at first as she appears to be somewhat self-indulgent but Thor is everything one could hope for in a hero. He discovers that there is more at play than at first suspected but ultimately brings about the destruction of her enemies' plans and a joyous conclusion to the novel. I received a copy of this romance as a gift through Dragonblade Publishing and NetGalley and this is my honest and voluntary review.
Loved It! What a Fantastic Story! One Wylde Knight will keep you spellbound as it takes you on a rollercoaster ride that weaves a story from beginning to end with threads of intrigue, greed, suspense and family unity. Kathryn Le Veque has a way of weaving a story that you can’t put it down and this book was no different. I absolutely loved Caledonia and Thor. She has written a story that's filled it with brilliantly crafted characters that will hold your attention as their individual personalities become more than just part of the tale they come off the pages and pull you in into the story, sizzling passion, heart ache, villainous villains, the book flowed well from one subject to another without being forced, and the plot brims with tension building twist and turns. With setting descriptions and action sequences that are wonderfully vivid that brings the story to life with plenty of suspense as the danger builds and uncertainties abound which brings this read together perfectly!
Immersed myself in this medieval world of knights, castles, and a maiden in distress.
Thor is a much celebrated knight from the house of de Reyne when the King orders him to marry Caledonia.
Caledonia struggles to live peacefully while she struggles with a difficult past, an abusive marriage, and the loss of her daughters.
While Thor and Caledonia circle around each other trying to come to terms with their circumstances, other dangerous forces come into their life..
Entrancing love story that is hard fought into existence.
Enjoy the realistic environment depicted indicative of that time.
Read as a standalone but many characters and families are portrayed from the world of LeVeque.
This author does not disappoint, she's an excellent writer with understanding of the era and writes an excellent story. Thor and Callie's story is no different. Callie's interest in gaming halls, taverns and the like was an interesting twist. HEA.
Incredibly Memorable Romance I Won't Forget:
I've been reading KLV books for over 30 years now and her stories are fabulous and never the same ole stuff.
The characters in this compelling story are bigger than life each in their own way which made them so captivating, tender, compassionate and just plain interesting with many shocking surprises along their journey.
Insight to visiting Gomorrah was eye opening for sure. I had to laugh a few times at some of the scenes presented there.
An unwanted marriage that takes Thor and Caledonia into discovering tenderness, hope, trust, that changes both of their lives forever.
The three children that were so abused tugged at my heart. The awesome brotherhood of the knights along with the extra characters had me so engrossed. The terrifying villains that brought terror to the story, but also gave a Yahoo! moment or two.
I hated to see the story end, but oh wow, what an ending this turns out to be. Absolutely heartwarming. Finding the love of their lives is one of KLV's specialties and she never disappoints the reader.

" They've kept your light dimmed, your beauty hidden behind those peasant clothes you wear, but that is going to stop now. You deserve to wear the finest clothing. You deserve to be respected, and I swear to you I will do just that. You needn't fear that people will ridicule you because that will not happen. "
" You are simply making your own mark, creating your own dynasty. Some say that the measure of a man is upon the field of battle, or in the political arena. But I've come to think that the true measure of a man is how much he is loved by his family and friends. You took a broken woman and her equally broken children and created something fine and whole. 🌶🌶/5.
This was such a beautiful story. I loved the romance and the family Caledonia & Thor created together.
Thor has a wonderful family so I love seeing them be so accepting of Callie especially Thor's sister Nicola.
Thor was such a great man too. He may be a Knight for the King but he is very compassionate and respects women and treats them with care because that's what his parents taught him.
He was everything and more that Callie needed and I just love following their story and see their hea come to fruition.
Callie was a lost soul once her children were taken away by her then husband. She was going through the motions and just trying to forget the sorrow she lived every single day since that happened.
I loved her so much. She was distrustful at first but once she saw Thor was worth it, she went for it.
I loved seeing both Callie & Thor gain the trust of her children but especially Thor when it came to Jane. It was just beautiful seeing it unfold. They formed a big and beautiful family and I can't help but feel proud of them like Thor's father is.
I didn't care much for the "villain" pov. I could've done without it so I skimmed those parts and that's basically why it's not a full 5 star book for me. i truly loved the romance and everything else.
* I read an arc of this book. *
