My favorite Jojo Moyes book! I love Cinderella stories. I love stories where the protagonists overcome obstacle after obstacle and they live happily ever after. I love to escape into these books. Single mom raising her child and a step-child live in a terrible British neighborhood complete with bullies. Her daughter loves math and her skills would meet MENSA standards. When a wealthy software entrepreneur finds himself hauling mom, the two kids, and a huge dog to Scotland for a math completion, a lot of hilarious adventure is about to begin. Realistic, I think not, but fun escapism, you bet. And they live happily ever after…..

Sweet if not predictable novel. Ms. Moyes always writes an engaging story.

Would make a fabulous book club read.

I loved the road trip, the quirky characters, the writing - pretty much everything about this novel. It's a nice upbeat story and very different from Me Before You.

Jojo Moyes is an excellent author, and while I enjoyed this book, I do not believe I will be adding it to my library shelves. It simply does not have the appeal to teenagers as one such as Me Before You.

Louisa Clark is back in this triology, after surviving her fall of her roof, rescuing Will Traynor's (unknown) daughter Lily, reconnecting with his family, and having a relationship with Ambulance Sam. She leaves England for NYC to work for a very wealthy family - with a young Eastern European trophy wife as her boss. Many adventures ensue, she gets fired, and makes friends with other people, including the doorman & his wife, in the Co-op building. (like the Dakota building) She ends up finding her true calling in working with Vintage clothing and her true love.
