I LOVED this recipe book! So many times, my family has gone to a restaurant and absolutely loved the food and wanted to recreate it at home. However, finding a good recipe, that tastes similar, has been difficult. Out of the several we have tries so far, the taste is almost identical! We are excited to try the rest!
Years ago, my husband and I ate at one of the first California Pizza Kitchens and had a pizza with such a wonderfully exotic taste that we spent years wishing we knew how to replicate it. The search has finally ended - the recipe for Thai Chicken Pizza is only one of the many glorious recipes in this beautiful book. I wasn't familiar with several of the restaurants whose recipes were copied, but they all looked so good that I would love to try them even without knowing if the taste was authentic or not. And - if I ever visit a place that has a Rios, you can be sure I'll eat there!
The recipes are well laid out and most of them easy to make, with common household ingredients and tools. The pictures make your mouth water. I look forward to getting a paper copy when this comes out! Note to those with dietary needs: there is no nutritional information.
Many thanks to Arrow Mountain Publishing and NetGalley for the chance to read this advance digital copy in exchange for my honest review.
This cookbook is so fun! I love the variety of recipes it features. The photos are gorgeous, the pages are easy to read. The recipes are easy to follow. I tried to make a recipe from each of the sections and they all turned out great!
I was so happy with this collection of recipes I think I need to purchase myself a copy as soon as it comes out. I was very pleased with the range of restaurants and brands that were represented here from fast food to casual sit down restaurants, theme parks, and even a cruise line! This book will surely be popular on the library shelf.
Thank you Shadow Mountain Publishing and NetGalley for the advanced electronic review copy of this book. This is a nice cookbook with recipes that are similar to the ones from some well-known places like Disney parks, Chili’s, Applebees, etc. There is a colorful photo accompanying every recipe and the ingredients are mostly packaged and conventional. With my allergies and having to adhere to a specific diet, I won’t be making any of these recipes but am nevertheless happy to have an opportunity to read and review this book.
Seriously can't get over this cookbook! The recipes are so easy and the pictures are beautiful! They did an excellent job recreating favorites from so many popular places. I will definitely be buying a hard copy of this!
Easy to use! The recipes included were simple to understand and the instructions were clear. If you love making copycat dishes this is a great recipe book for you!
I highly recommend this yummy cookbook of copycat dishes from numerous restaurants. I can't wait to order it for our high school library. So far I can attest to the amazing similarities between the Chick Fil A original sauce and the Chipolte rice. The recipes are quick, easy and clearly described. Each recipe contains a fantastic photo that is sure to entice readers. Some of the restaurants are more obscure, but there are enough nationwide chains to appeal to all readers.
This book was so interesting and fun! I loved trying to make some of these dishes to see if it actually compared to the real deal. Highly recommend this book!
This cookbook is filled with copycat recipes from the places we all love. From drinks to desserts and everything in between. Nothing Bundt Cakes’s and Taco Bell beef (there is an ingredient that will throw you a curveball!).
So far I have made the Starbucks Caramel Apple Spice Cider and Olive Garden dressing. This week Panda Express Orange Chicken is on the menu.
Photos: A+
Layout: A+
Realistic recipes (aka not too complicated): A+
This is a great fun cookbook to have with some many ideas! thank you NetGalley and Shadow Mountain Publishing for granting my wish!
I like copycat cookbooks because I like to control the ingredients and sodium in my food, but also like to take inspiration from some of the most popular dishes out there. This is a great way to make a familiar meal/drink/dessert and also save money on dining out, which is very expensive lately. The downside to this book for me was that there were many restaurants in the book that I didn’t recognize or had never heard of (most were on the west coast).
This is a great cookbook! I loved the abundance of pictures and the recipes are pretty easy to follow along with and the ingredient list isn’t over the top with most items people don’t normally keep around.
Will absolutely use a lot of these recipes!
I only got through two recipes before my teens ran off to peruse the food! Once I reclaimed custody of the book, I was equally excited. Just as advertised this book contains tons of recipes that would absolutely stand on their own, but have the added bonus of being fan favorites from restaurants across the country.
Having run a cookbook club, and thus having heard all the critiques of recipes you can imagine, I know a cookbook will be a hit when it has the following:
1. Pictures- Gotta have those food pics. This book is a treat for they eyes as well as your plate.
2. Easy to follow instructions- The recipes here are concise and clearly written.
3. Accessible ingredients, tools and techniques- These recipes use readily available ingredients alongside approachable techniques and tools you likely have in your kitchen already.
All together these make for recipes that you can dive right into and start enjoying. Several are already on my meal plan for next week.
This reader notes: We have to cook gluten-free for our celiac child and many recipes are already gluten-friendly or easily modified for our dietary restrictions. Not to be all "I substituted dryer lint for the salt and it was fine" (you know the recipe comments can be bananas!), but this still a five-star cookbook even if you need to do some swaps for your lifestyle.
This is a great compilation of recipes I can’t wait to work my way through them all . I would definitely recommend this and buy it for others as a gift
The book is filled with accessible recipes for recreating popular dishes from well-known eateries, making it a great resource for those who love to replicate and enjoy their favorite meals. With clear instructions and a focus on familiar flavors, it’s a fantastic guide for both novice and experienced cooks looking to bring a taste of their favorite dining spots to their own table.
Thank you Netgalley for the opportunity to review this title. These are my own opinions and honest review.
Most Requested Copycat Dishes is filled with yummy looking recipes that will be a crowd pleaser. The book is well put together from the photo layouts to the easy to follow recipes. There are a few recipes that will be going into my regular rotation. I would recommend this book.
I am drooling!! I love how varied this book is in representing Copycat Recipes from a variety of places from fast food, theme park, regional and specialty restaurants! I also love the normal ingredient lists. I haven't made anything yet, but I can't wait to start! Just reading the recipes and looking at the pictures I know there are some new family favorites to be had!
Most Requested Copycat Dishes includes 101 recipes for drinks and shakes, breakfast, appetizers and snacks, lunchtime, sauces and dressings, side dishes, main dishes, and desserts based on food and drinks from restaurants.
Each recipe includes an introduction with the restaurant it is inspired by, an ingredient list, numbered directions, prep and cook times, and a photo. I appreciate that every recipe includes a photo because I am not familiar with all the restaurants in the cookbook, so it is great to see what the dish is supposed to look like and it helps me decide if I would like to make it. Some recipes I would like to try are the Homemade Butterbeer inspired by The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Queso inspired by Torchy's Tacos, Copycat Olive Garden Salad with OG Dressing, and Caramel Apple Bread Pudding inspired by Epi's Basque Restaurant.
This is a fun cookbook for those looking for copycat recipes. However, there is no nutritional or dietary information for the recipes, which can be a downside for some.

A beautifully illustrated cookbook with copycat recipes from Costco, Rumbi's, Panda Express,Cafe Rio, Disneyland, Ruth Cris, and more. There are step by step directions for breakfast, main dish, .Rumbi's, Panda Express desserts. There are quite a few recipes I want to make. It is a great cookbook to add to your collection.
This was fun, but not something I would buy. I get that restaurant food isn't the healthiest, but these seemed to be full of overly processed ingredients. For me, these recipes will be on the occasional splurge list.
