⛰️ Fated Mates
⛰️ Dual POV
This is the third book in the Enchanted Fates series. I have not read the first two, mostly because I didn’t realize this was part of a series when I started reading, but I wasn’t lost or anything, so I would say you can read this as a standalone if you wanted to.
I particularly enjoyed how magic and werewolves came together in this story. There’s a great redemption storyline for Dom and the other wolves returning to the Moonpeak pack after a decade away, and I like that it was ultimately rooted in wanting to do better for their loved ones and the people of the pack, rather than a misguided attempt to be in a power position. The plan was reasonable while also recognizing the urgency of the problem, and I like how it all came together.
I was hopeful in my predictions of what would happen between the two main characters June and Dom, and I’m thrilled I was correct. I want to see more of their story now that everything with the pack is settled, so I’m crossing my fingers that they somehow come up in the next installment of the series. Also hoping to see some other characters again, because I feel like their story isn’t done yet.
I am definitely thinking twice before burning a candle right now. Once you read, you will know.
It's a cute wolf pack story.
I have read all parts of this series so far, and unforuntely this was my least favorite. I think in part is that it was a fairly linear story, and that made it predictable. Though I will say that the author was good at delivering the general feel of the novel, even if it did kind of hit me on the head a little while we were expecting conflict.
I really like the world building, and I always appreciate a little bit of Canada in my novels.
Thank you to Wattpad and Netgalley for an e-copy.
Thank you Netgalley for the opportunity to arc read this novel!
Dirty lying wolves was a good palette cleanser for in between long series where the reader does not want to think too hard about what they are reading, I have not read the others in this series but I would not be opposed to reading more from Sabrina.
3.5 stars. A cute urban fantasy romance. I haven't read the previous books and could follow along, but I was also aware when they were referencing previous books, usually without confusion, but without the flavour of the backstory I would have if I'd read the first 2 books. This book entertained, had a few funny moments. A few spots in the book it moved a little slow. Overall, an entertaining story. *I received an ARC of this book and this is my voluntary and honest review.

I really loved this book! June is making her way through school to become a Physical Therapist in Seattle, but her life goes astray when she hears a woman who needs help of the path in the nature park on her morning walk. She finds the woman surrounded by three large males. The males turn out to be not what she she should be worried about when the female transforms into a wolf before her eyes and bites her!
June is then dragged across the country to live with a community of Werewolves, who will help her through her first transition.
Dom is the temporary leader of this little group of rogue wolves, and he makes the decision to return to the community he was born and raised in after being away for 9 years. He plans help his friend/sister, Amelia, overthrow the current Alpha, Evander. They need proof of Evander's wrong doing, however, before they formally challenge him for the title of Alpha.
This book is action packed, and full of heart-felt moments between the wolves. We also see and hear glimpses about the Fairies and Dragons from the first two books.
My only complaint is the magic system seems to break it's own rules at one point, and I wanted MORE to the end! I didn't want to say goodbye to Dom and June!
Thank you to netgalley and Sabrina Blackburry!
Another great book by Sabrina! Dirty lying wolves is everything you’re looking or in a good werewolf book. This series has been incredibly entertaining as a whole, and wolves falls just behind fairies for me, but above dragons. June is a relatable character who you are invested in throughout the book. The relationships built within the main and secondary characters are wonderful and keep you reading.
While I’m sure I read the other books in this world, it’s been so long that I can assure you starting here is just fine. That being said, this book has a very slow build at the start, but once things start going down, it is pure chaos until the end.
June has a relatively normal life until she tries to save a woman writhing on the ground in a local part. This one action ends up getting her bitten by a werewolf and thrown into a really weird roadtrip with her new “pack.” Dom, the second to the bitey leader who is indisposed for quite some time, is on a mission to bring his pack or sort-of-rogues back to their original pack’s land. Said pack has been led by a bad guy for a while so now that they are fresh off their win in previous books, they decide to push their luck here. June got to represent us, asking all the basic questions, learning how the change happens, how the pack is organized, and eventually detectiving out why everyone tiptoes around the badness in their previous pack history.
This book has some really great characters introduced outside the slow sizzle romance of Dom and June. I would eagerly check-in on a lot of these folks after the conclusion of this story. The pack has obviously gone through a lot, but when the dust settles (or when the truth is revealed) people do the right thing in a crazy battle. I really ended up liking all the characters and got swept away in the HEA by the end. I hope we get to see more from this world.
Dirty Lying Wolves is the third installment of Sabrina Blackburry's Enchanted Fates books and was a super fun read! This is definitely one of those books that you can read without reading books one and two, but you will miss out on discovering how the fae, vampires, dragons, witches, warlocks and wolf shifters create this super entertaining world.
While it's not surprising that the story picks right up with the small pack of wolves involved in the first two books, I was pleasantly surprised at who the main characters were. Having the story focus on Dom and Juniper made me enjoy this one even more. There was drama, romantic tension, some really fun confusion, a mystery and a fight for all the important things. I absolutely could not put this book down!
Thank you Wattpad and NetGalley for the opportunity to review this amazing book.

I had a lot of fun reading this book.
I found the writing style of this author is strong and the MCs very veryyyy likeable (also Juniper Gunn is such a cool name).
Even the side characters were so likeable and fun to experience (except Evander don't like him). There were quite a lot but it was easy to navigate the who's who of it all.
While it is book 3 of a set, it can be read as a standalone. But I would recommend reading books 1 & 2. I hadn't and to be quite honest the first 1/4 of the book was pretty confusing. There were a lot of references to occurrences I assume took part in the first 2 books.
All in all I did enjoy June & Dom's journey both in love & in finding themselves.

This was a fun, easy read from the author of Dirty Lying Dragons. It provided all the fun with a nice mystery thrown in. This was a new look into pack life that I found charming. I guess you could make this a small-town, cozy urban fantasy. It was not particularly high stakes, but it had a fast pace and likable characters. Unlike the FMCs from the previous two books, the main character, June, has no magical powers; she stumbles into the magical world by being a good Samaritan. What that gets her is a pack of rogue wolves returning to their pack's lands, and one particular wolf who would play a major role in her life. It all makes for a fun read.
Thank you, NetGalley, for the eArc; these opinions are mine.
I appreciated getting this book as an ARC and I became quite invested! This book has werewolves fated mates, along with several other magic creatures that are involved. This book tells the tale of a human (Juniper) and a werewolf (Dominic) and how they are forced to venture across the country with one another based on unfortunate circumstances. This adventure goes from Seattle, WA to Newfoundland, Canada, and how they grow as people along the way.
This book kept me interested and I enjoyed following their journey. It grew on me quite a bit throughout the story, especially with all of the twists and turns that happened throughout the book. Would definitely recommend it to others.
"**Dirty Lying Wolves** exudes the charm of a cozy mystery while weaving in elements of 'romantasy,' making it a thoroughly enjoyable read. As the third installment in the Enchanted Fae Series, this book stands well on its own, though I highly recommend exploring the series in its entirety.
The author excels in pacing, maintaining a steady rhythm that keeps readers engaged with a compelling cast of characters. The intricate mystery unravels with skillful twists, ensuring that just when one feels they have solved it, new revelations emerge.
Sabrina Blackberry's writing, particularly in the more explicit scenes, is intensely evocative, stirring a visceral response that enhances the reading experience.
I eagerly anticipate the next installment in this captivating series, as the author's storytelling consistently surpasses expectations."
This book has werewolves, Fated mates, slight Kidnapping (if you wanna call it that, lol) mystery and a Twisty reveal. The start of this book is not slow by any means, but after the initial action that gets June tangled with the rogues, and the pack, it does sort of go through a slower pace before throwing you back to the wolves. The mystery aspect surrounding the Moonpeak pack is what intrigued me so much. I wish we had gotten more interaction between individuals and their wolves, but I loved reading it when it happened. The cross over at the end had me so happy. Can't wait for the next book in this series.
Thank you to the author and @wattpadbooks for the eARC!
I really enjoyed this one so much! The story was really fun and there was a bit of mystery that kept me guessing the whole book. I didn't see the mystery coming at all. I thought I had it all figured out.
The ending had one moment that had me absolutely rioting. I was ranting "ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Bad choice dude (me talking to the author). I have never DNF'd a book so close to the end but I might now."
*turns to next page* "Oh. Just kidding. I might have overreacted."
I heard the author got another book deal for more books so l'm super excited about that!
Right off the bat, I learned that Juniper is a great friend and a lot braver than I am. Rustling leaves and what looks like blood on a forest trail? We run, we do not investigate. What happens when you investigate? Frickin' werewolves, that's what happens.
So Juniper - aka June, brave one that she is, stumbles onto a situation better left alone...but because of who she is as a person, can't not help when it sounds like help is needed. In this case, that means Juniper ends up with a few new full moon abilities when she accidentally gets bitten.
Dom is a grump and begrudgingly in charge of their little crew until they return to pack lands in Canada. You get a cozy vibe from the others in the pack but there's an underlying feeling of suspicion and pretty early on, Alpha Evander seems a little iffy.
I like that it felt like we were learning pack dynamics with June as she was getting her crash course as a newbie. The slow-ish build between her and Dom was sweet too - but once they're in, they're ALL IN. Because you know, werewolves. The further into the story you get, the more you realize that Evander just ain't right. Loved the appearance of old characters and their help in figuring out what's wrong with the pack. And I'll always be a sucker for fated mates. 🖤🖤
While you technically can read this as a standalone, it's book three in a series and you'll have a better understanding of some characters and their background, if you read them in order.
Also. Jerod is officially my favorite side character!
Dirty Lying Wolves is the third installment in Sabrina Blackburry’s paranormal romance series, and while it can be read as a standalone, it continues to expand the supernatural world introduced in the previous books. This time, Blackburry brings werewolves into the spotlight with the story of Juniper, who gets more than she bargained for during a morning power walk when she’s bitten by an ill werewolf after trying to help a stranger.
Juniper's dilemma of whether to return to her human life or embrace her new identity as a werewolf and join Dom’s pack is at the heart of the novel. While the setup is engaging, and there’s plenty of tension in her choice, the main characters didn’t stand out as much as I hoped they would. Both Juniper and Dom are likable enough, but their romance felt a bit standard—satisfying, but nothing particularly groundbreaking.
What really works, though, is Blackburry’s world-building. The story’s paranormal setting continues to evolve, giving us more insight into the supernatural creatures that inhabit it. The misfit pack of werewolves was enjoyable, and fans of fated mates and tight-knit casts will find plenty to like in the relationships and dynamics between the characters.
Overall, Dirty Lying Wolves is a solid addition to the series. While it may not have had the standout romance I was hoping for, it will likely appeal to readers who enjoy romantasy with elements of fated mates and a central cast of supernatural misfits.
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for an advanced copy of this book.
3.75 stars!! It can be read as standalone, but I do wish I had read the other two books in this world leading up so I could understand a little bit of the story they were hinting at, but nevertheless I still thoroughly enjoyed this!!
A loyal girl's girl, Junpier, hears a woman crying out in the woods and goes to help her- but little does she know that she's about to change her life as she stumbles across a pack of werewolves- and catches a stray bite from a feral wolf coming off a magical curse. She's then off with a group of complete strangers making a cross country trek across state and country lines, and she's not as mad about it as she should be tbh! She's with beta Dominic (clearly hinted upon that some kind of maybe fated connection is going to happen), alpha Amelia (ty for the bite girly!!), and loyal buddies Aaron, Carson, and Jack (mostly all the same vibe to me idk?)- a pack of rogues with a vengeance plan 10 years in the making with their original pack.
I thought this was a relatively simplistic story, in that it was clear which ways things were going pretty often, and there weren't a ton of obstacles in that things happened pretty smoothly (shifting, mates, picking up on weird vibes about town). All that to say, I was completely hooked!! It was a cozy, comforting read full of characters that brought individual flavor (except you, Aaron, Carson, and Jack trio) in a way that made me want to join this village. There's Smokey, the wise old wolf; there's Carmine, a French Canadian wolf in to find her mate and happens upon a new best friend; there's Evander, clearly CLEARY up to no good; there's so much more but I'm not getting into it here!!!
Thank you so much to Sabrina Blackburry and NetGalley for a chance to read this in exchange for an honest review!
4.5 Dirty Lying Wolves Stars🤩
Dirty Lying Wolves is the third book in the Enchanted Fates Series and focuses on the group of wolves we meet at the end of Dirty Lying Dragons. Amelia and Dom, Aaron, Carson and Jack are the BlightFang Pack but have been involved in nefarious activities over the years. They are trying to come down from the magic that they’ve been given to make them stronger and a human stumbles upon them.
June is a nurturer and likes to care for people. She stumbles upon a group. Thinking that they are hurting the woman with them, she tries to help and gets bitten. Now they have no choice but to take her with them.
A great story with some background into this group and reasons they did what they did. But my favourite parts are the paranormal magical moments and when they realise they are fated mates😍 Their Alpha Evander made me so mad, I wanted to hold him down so June could hit him. But overall loved the outcome of this book and I am looking forward to what this author has in store for us next. I received an advanced copy via Netgalley and willingly leave my honest review❤️
This was a great read! I love all things that involve fate, wolves and paranormal romance.
Juniper comes across a group of strangers and being the good person she is jumps into help. Instead, she gets bitten by a werewolf. Because of this she will now become a werewolf on the next full moon. The Alpha / Leader of the pack, Dom gives her a choice, come with them and be part of the pack or return post-transformation to her world. She has to make a grave decision that will change her destiny and life.
I love how she interwove the story and characters and explained a lot of how a wolves life is and what makes up a pack. The characters were wonderfully written. This is the first book in the series I have read and I will definitely go back to the other books and read.
I highly recommend the book and to check out the authors other titles.

Rating: 3/5 - I enjoyed this book but it isn't one that I will reread
🌶️: 1/5 - there were two explicit intimate scenes
TLDR: If you're craving werewolves I think this one will satisfy you
This is what I would call an old school werewolf story. People get turned by bites, heavy pack structure, full moon shifting, etc. It's been a long time since I read this kind of book and I really enjoyed it. The FMC went from being freaked out and reluctant to accepting really quickly. While it makes sense in the story and is well explained, the tonal soft felt a bit jarring. It was almost as if I was reading a different book halfway through. The romance was definitely a focus in this book but there was also a lot of other things going on. The conflicts were definitely external to the relationship. There was a bit of a mystery/"what's going on here" vibe but it was fairly obvious. The resolution was still satisfying.
Ultimately, I would recommend this to anyone craving an "old school" werewolf story.
