In this game of hearts, the stakes have never been higher…Molly Harris is used to being left. Parents, boyfriends – she’s the queen of rejection. Her latest boyfriend, gym-fanatic Duncan, dumps her to go on reality dating show The One which sets up hot singletons to date for four weeks before meeting at the altar to say, ‘I do’.

But Duncan was the one who picked Molly up and put her back together the last time her heart got broken, so, determined not to let ‘The One’ get away, she follows Duncan onto the show. If she can prove that they’re meant to be, she might just get the happily ever after of her dreams…

But on the first day of filming, another reminder of her painful history walks into Happily Ever After Ben Knight, her it’s-not-you-it’s-me heartbreaker. The one she loved before Duncan.

In four weeks’ time, who will she meet at the altar? Duncan, the first person who ever made her feel loved, or Ben, the first person who made her feel?

The first part was so slow. But then it did pick up! The whole reality dating show is what initially interested me. I loved Ben so much!

I really wanted to like this more than I did. I love a TV show/dating show tie in but I just didn't connect to the characters' enough to root for them. They came off as kind of flat. It came off as really repetitive and no one really grew or evolved. It left me feeling like, "what's the point? "

Somewhere between a 3 and a 4 stars. I was initially drawn to this book because i’m a reality star junkie. This concept for this book is so good. It reminds me a lot of Love is Blind. This was a quick and entertaining read much like my favorite reality shows. The side characters were not really flesh out so fell flat for me.

I was temped to stop reading many times throughout but I kept pushing myself. The premise was interesting but I think something was missing from the execution. The communication between the characters did not have the flavour I was looking for between love interests

I have never read anything by this author, but I will be looking out for other books they write in the future. I really enjoyed the story as well as the pacing of the story.

Third person POV is sooo hard for me to read, but I pushed through! I really would have liked more from this, as the premise was neat.. but I was just kind of over the repetitive nature of the storyline. Each time something happened, the characters would have the same date, the same convos, the same issues, the same everything. By that point, I was just kind of.. over it? I also felt like there was just no drama - and I know that's weird to say because who likes drama? But in this type of storyline, I'd expect drama in a house where you had 4 weeks to get to know someone and then get married! Neat premise, but not the best storyline execution. Thanks for the opportunity to read!

This book was great! I loved how easy it was to read and got me out a reading slump. The only thing that knocked it off a star for me is that some parts were dragging and slow and I think some of the miscommunication was a bit odd, like *spoiler* he told you his ex passed away and you dont think thats maybe the reason he was cold towards you? Like our MFC can kind of be dumb at times.

It was cute and I did enjoy it and would recommend it.

Hilarious as I have come to expect from Kathryn Freeman.

Although I'm not an avid watcher of dating reality shows, I am very aware of the various concepts of them, and just entertaining they can be.

So add a dating show into a book from a favourite author and well this was brilliant fun.

I took to Molly instantly, whereas Duncan the bloke she is with at the start who dumps her to be on the show, I'm not overly keen on, and less so each time we encounter him.

Whereas the second ex that Molly discovers is on this game show, that she has been invited onto to surprise Duncan, is Ben and omg I love him.

Two totally different men, one woman's heart and will there be a marriage at the end of the 4 weeks of the show. Add in a cast of other contestants, some totally brilliant challenges that had me entertained and you get one highly enjoyable book.

What a joy to read this and although I knew who I wanted Molly to end with, I was never completely positive what her decision would be.

Many memorable moments, and a whole lot of fun. I loved this book.

Thank you to One More Chapter and Netgalley for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

Thank You, Next by Kathryn Freeman. What can I say other than I really enjoyed it and read in one day. In four weeks’ time, who will she meet at the altar? Duncan, the first person who ever made her feel loved, or Ben, the first person who made her feel?

The setting of a reality dating show had me hooked as I do tend to watch them, think Love Island and
Are you the One. It had everything you could want in a story banter, self discovery, romance and a little spice…

It also kept me guessing on how things would work out, as Ben kept saying he couldn’t do marriage, and Duncan kept stringing Molly along.

I will definitely read other books by this author.

I requested and received an advance reader copy of this book from
Harper Collins UK, One More Chapter and Netgalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is a reality dating show romance with a bit of a love triangle between Molly, Duncan and Ben.

I found that this book fell a little flat for me as a reader and in the author's acknowledgement she notes she had not watched any reality dating shows before starting this project and I think it shows. The reality show aspects were very minimal and didn't really grab my attention as the reader. I expected more drama and fanfare, so that disappointed me.

I also really disliked Duncan and Ben, I thought they were both manipulative to Molly and I disliked how ditsy and unaware the author made Molly. Kick the loser to the curb Molly, you can do so much better!!

I think there are better reality dating show books out there to read and I wouldn't recommend this one.

I was invested in the plot of this book right from the start, as dating shows are one of my favourite things to binge watch!
The FMC was so relatable, and I loved seeing her character develop throughout the book.
The romance was amazing and I enjoyed seeing it go from hate to love: enemies to lovers is one of my top tropes, so I knew I would love the relationship in this one.

Kathryn Freeman's Thank You, Next is a brilliant rom-com that I thoroughly enjoyed, it was so much fun!! Molly and Ben's banter just lit up the pages and made me smile. Their interactions are just everything, absolutely charming and witty. With their journeys of self-discovery—being so well-developed and relatable!

The plot, with its reality TV elements, is just so engaging, especially as I’m a fan of reality TV like MAFS and Love Island, so. It kept me glued to the pages, wanting more.
I do wish more was done with the audience participation concept. It's so intriguing, though I wish it was used a bit more, and maybe a chapter or 2 of things being stirred up would have been more fun.

Even though I started to frustrated by our main characters just a smidge, I couldn't help but root for Molly to gain more confidence and see right through Duncan. IT WAS SOOO OBVIOUS! It would have been a riot to see her turn the tables on him! Overall, Thank You, Next is a flirty and fun read that will leave you feeling all warm and fuzzy. If you love romantic comedies with a good mix of humor and heart, this one is definitely for you! 3.5⭐️

Thank You, Next is the latest riotous romp from award-winning romantic comedy queen Kathryn Freeman.

Nobody knows more about being rejected than Molly Harris. From her parents to her ex-boyfriends, the people in Molly’s life seem to have no qualms about dumping her. Her latest bout of rejection involves her gym-fanatic boyfriend Duncan who has just dumped her to go on a reality TV show called The One which sets up singletons on dates for four weeks before meeting again at the altar. Molly is not about to give up on her man, so she decides that if she can’t beat them, she might as well join them – and follows Duncan onto the show!

Duncan had been the one who had put the broken pieces of her shattered heart together the last time she had been dumped and Molly is convinced that he is truly ‘The One’ for her. By following him on to the show, Molly hopes that Duncan will realise that she’s the only woman who can make him happy and she can get the happily ever after of her dreams. Only, Molly hadn’t counted on the fact that the man who had broken her heart before Duncan would also be a contestant on the show: Ben Knight, who was as far removed from her knight in shining armour as it was possible to get…or was he?

In a month’s time, who is Molly going to meet at the altar: Duncan, the first man who made her feel loved? Or Ben, the only man who has ever made her feel?

Kathryn Freeman is on superb form with Thank You, Next. Side-splittingly hilarious, wonderfully emotional and so deliciously readable, I was still turning the pages in the early hours of the morning, Thank You Next, is a first-rate romantic comedy about love lost and found, second chances and fighting for your own happiness that sizzles and sparkles with wicked wit, red-hot banter and electric chemistry between the characters.

A top-notch romantic comedy from one of the genre’s most talented writers, Thank You, Next is classic Kathryn Freeman – and I am already counting down the days until her next book!

Reality tv show like married at first sight in a book? Yes please! Unfortunately it felt really flat for me... The story was really boring and silly. I couldn't relate to the characters at all. Dnf at 45%.

Thank you netgalley and the publisher for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

TLDR: Sweet and empowering romance with a wild cast of characters!

I LOVED this book!!! Freeman does a masterful job at developing her characters - and it really makes the book shine. Molly is an extremely likeable and relatable protagonist (though there were times I wanted to grab her by the shoulders and shake sense into her). The way she draws the reader into the conflict between Duncan and Ben is fantastic. Highly recommend!

This book was very slow to start. That being said I had a very hard time staying interested. I feel like this book could have went more in depth with the characters.

I love Kathryn Freeman so I was excited to read her new book. First of all the cover was so cute. The book was a fun read. I loved the competition reality show aspect and loved the chemistry with Molly and the 'competitors' It was a solid read to the end. I will definitely recommend to my friends.

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC.

I loved the concept of the book. However, I felt that the book dragged along for me. I was bored and almost gave up until the 50% mark. The characters were unlovable and I found myself hard to connect with them.

I felt the story was repetitive. The same things kept happening and I felt that the writing was just repeating.

Overall, it was okay but I would not recommend or reread.
