Fans of the Ex Hex series will love this tale of the third Penhallow brother. Witches, time travel, true love... the perfect combo in this cute Christmas story.

I was so excited about when I heard that there would be a third book in the series featuring Bowen Penhallow. I adored the first two books, and this one was just as great!

The Wedding Witch follows the connection between Bowen Penhallow and Tamsyn Bligh. At first a working relationship which turns into more. The characters were so adorable with fiery attraction and sarcastic banter throughout. I'm not usually into stories that have time travel, but it worked in this story.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC!

I love this series so much. It might be June but I was so invested in this Christmas witchy book. There’s fake dating, workplace romance, time travel and one bed. 🤩 I loved the atmosphere of the haunted manor and the all of the funny ghosts and spirits. This book was so much fun. I highly recommend.

I received this from Netgalley in exchange for a review.

This past week and a half I have been immersed in Erin Sterling’s witchy world, reading the two books that came before this one. While this could theoretically be read as a standalone, it definitely is better if the first two books have been read first.

I’ve been intrigued by Bowen since the first book. The elusive mountain man Penhallow brother, full of mystery and intrigue? Right up my alley. I loved finding out what made him go all lonesome, and then begin to realize he loves Tamsyn and wants to be part of her world/his brothers’ world. I also really liked Tamsyn, which I was surprised about because in the first book, I wasn’t a fan of hers. But learning more about her helped a lot, and their adventure in the past made me really enjoy their relationship.

I absolutely loved this book! It’s so rare that a series gets better as it goes, but this one definitely fits the bill!! This is a super fun, magical witchy adventure with swoony vibes from start to finish! I highly recommend the whole series!

Thank you NetGalley and Avon and Harper Voyager for sending this book for review consideration. All opinions are my own.

I loved this book! Snatch it up if you are looking for a charming witchy romance. I thoroughly enjoyed the Winter Solstice setting in a Welsh castle, the time travel, and the witty banter.

The best part of a romance are the characters, and Bowen and Tamsyn have off-the-charts chemistry and I adored both of them. This is a fun and spicy read.

This is my favorite book on this series. Although I recommend reading the two previous books in the Ex Hex series for maximum enjoyment, I believe this could easily be read as a stand-alone.

I cried my eyes out because I loved this desperately and I'm getting married in two weeks. I absolutely loved this story and will devour everything by the author. Five stars, no notes

I was so excited to get this ARC, as a reader of all of Erin Sterling's previous novels in the Penhallow brother series. This book follows the last brother, a gruff loner who hires our FMC to source rare magical items for him. He also carries around a huge guilt for his best friend poof-ing into the ether due to a dangerous spell they were both working on.

Tamsyn is a delightful character to follow - she knows what she wants and is upfront about it - and though there's certainly an aspect of insta-love in this story, I felt like that might have been necessary for us to get to the main plot of the book: time travel. Now, I'm not really a big fan of the time travel (hence why I haven't read the Outlander series). It just makes me unnecessarily anxious for no good reason. That being said, I like that Erin took a different direction with this book, because it certainly lent a "questing" sort of vibe to this book that fit in really well with Tamsyn and her character. Bowen was adorable while feeling different from our first two male characters. Ultimately, this book is a classic fun witchy book to pass the time, with that added kink of the "we must do a thing before a deadline" that helped pace the plot and romance -- and was just a great way to round out the series. Also would give this a 3/5 for explicit sex scenes, but nothing too crazy!

I really enjoy this series, and this was no exception. I was looking forward to this character's story and it was so fun. This series is not an all time favorite, but its a fun time. I would definitely recommend this series during the fall/halloween time.

Having read books one and two in the Ex-Hex series, book 3 could not be more different. This could be a stand-alone book. It does not need to be part of a series, which is what I really like about it. I could not remember details from books one and two for the life of me, but that didn't matter. The basic character summaries that were given in this book were enough to remind me what I needed to know. I really like that this story can stand alone and has characters that I have connected with and know from previous books. I felt like this book had less magic in it than the previous books; though it could just be because it wasn't a Halloween story. Definitely recommend. 4/5 stars

The Wedding Witch
The Ex Hex #3
Erin Sterling
Bowen is one of the Penhallow brothers. He studies magical artifacts. When he is in need of an artifact, he calls the best procurer, Tamsyn Bligh. She is a buyer and seller of mystic objects; sometimes obtains the objects by less than honest means. They share a kiss under mistletoe that leaves him muddle brained and her desiring more. She finds herself very attracted to him but becoming involved with a witch isn’t wise.
Tamsyn would like to retire it would take one artifact worth enough to secure her financially; she is offered $1 million to retrieve a priceless piece of jewelry from the Tywyll House. She managed to get an invitation to the Witchy Wedding. She had no idea that Bowen would be there too. The wedding is being held at the unusual, medieval, menacing and creepy Tywyll House. Declan the ghost coerced Bowen into attending the wedding; Declan wants to see his former fiancé who is about to maThanrry someone else at THIS wedding. Bowen and Tamayn meet at the mansion and decide to work together to find the mysterious priceless artifact. A strong magic spell transports them back to 1957 to the same house but before it was haunted. They must find a way to prevent the haunting, return to their present time and yet not change the future. They must accomplish all of this while they are falling in love.
This is the third book in this series. I enjoyed watching Bowen and Tamsyn’s relationship grow from a business agreement to friendship to more. The banter was humorous. I always enjoy time travel and this tale doesn’t disappoint. The language could have been and should have been toned down. The steamy scenes are delicious.
Thank you NetGalley for providing a copy of this book for review.

Thank you Netgalley for the ARC! I had such a good time reading this! It's a pretty short book, just over 200 pages. That, combined with being fast paced had me flying through this story. I'm very picky about insta-love but I think this was beautifully done. I could sense how much they truly cared for one another, not just lust. The love, humor, and magic of it all was just what I wanted out of this book. I also didn't realize until I finished that this is book 3 in a series.. oops. However, from reading about the first two, it seems that you don't necessarily HAVE to read those in order to understand this one. I will be checking those out eventually, though! This was my first Erin Sterling but certainly not my last.

This was a sweet romance book that could be even sweeter if the main couple had more time to breathe as, well a couple. Bits and pieces of texting and email leads up to the main event but if felt VERY rushed. And I guess the plot is completely secondary bc I have no idea how things ended up the way they did (and time travel is always tough to write but this seemed...like how is Declan ok? What did the pin actually have to do with anything?). The ending was completely confusing.

But if you're in it for witches and spice and things naughty and nice, this is a book for you.

I really enjoyed the romance, and I like the main characters a lot and enjoyed reading their conversations and them working together, but overall I felt like things were way too rushed, I would have loved to see a bit more development of their relationship before the end. Especially since by the time we get to the end, nothing is really explained with the time travel/spell stuff anyway.

I’ve enjoyed this entire series. I do think this one was my least favorite of the three, mostly because it felt rushed to me. I also think the time travel wasn’t wrapped up well enough and the ending was too rushed. Nonetheless, I enjoyed! 3.5 stars.

This is another delightful romantic comedy about a Penhallow brother in the Graves Glen universe by Erin Sterling ( the pen name of thriller writer Rachel Hawkins). This time it’s Bowen who’s been tied to the Welsh homeland more than his other two brothers, but he is spending Yule with the family. He’s a collector of magical things (specifically he’s looking for the item that might bring his ghostly friend Declan back to an earthly existence) and he teams frequently up with Tamsyn, an “Acquirer” or dealer who locates such rare things. He’s a witch and she isn’t, but, of course, she’s magical-world-adjacent and completely comfortable in Bowen’s world. Both are attending the Witchy Wedding of the Year for different motives, and a supernatural mishap sends them to the 1950s, which, of course, forces them to figure out a way back to the future.

For a thriller writer, Sterling/Hawkins excels in the adorable banter between Bowen and Tamsyn (often via texting), creating another terrific couple. I absolutely loved “The Ex-Hex” and “The Kiss Curse” and “The Wedding Witch” is another entertaining and addictive story — perfect for either Halloween or Christmas fluff reading. 5 stars!

I love this cozy little series. It can technically be read as a standalone, but to get the full effect I'd highly recommend reading the other books in the series.

A lot of good to talk about here! I really enjoyed the characters. They are not deeply developed and that's OK. This story didn't need it. They were fun with great chemistry. There were so many tropes touched on here. The two biggest being the He's My Boss ™️ and the Time Travel Mission ™️ tropes. There was also a hint of force proximity and fake relationship in there, but not such a big emphasis on those. Sent back on a magical mission, the two have to work together and it was a cute way to button a lot of tropes into one story.

The only complaint I have is that the ending seemed rushed. I wish she would have tacked on another chapter or too to explain the ending and the resolution to the conflict. It's a romance, so of course the romance conflicts took center stage. But I was pretty invested in the magical mission elements here and that just kinda fizzles at the end.

Book 3 in the Ex Hex series continues with Bowen Penhallow still searching for a solution to fix his friend Declan who is sort of a ghost. He enlists Tamsyn to help him get the magical materials he will need. Tamsyn is becoming a serious distraction. Then they both end up at a haunted castle in Wales and things really heat up between them. Can they save Declan? Can they save themselves?
Great witchy romcom that is set during Yule for a nice change of pace.
Thanks Netgalley for the arc. My opinions are my own.

It has been a bit since I've read the first two in this series, but I feel like I liked this third one a bit less than the other two. The pacing seemed very off, really rushed at parts, then slow in others. It also felt like insta-love, despite these two knowing each other for a year before love was realized. The beginning of the book moves through an entire year before we even hit Chapter 1. Then the book rushes very quickly through another month, with just barely a white space to mark the time jump.

This pacing made it difficult to really connect with the characters or feel that they had chemistry. I didn't feel much tension or banter within the writing, and it all felt very rushed. However, there were quite a bit of funny lines and the spice was pretty good. The witchy element was also very fun and kept me engrossed in the story. Though, the end also felt a bit quick and lacked in the payoff I was expecting.

Overall, I think this is a quick, enjoyable read. I'd recommend it if you enjoyed the first two in the series, and are looking for a fun, spooky season love story this October.
