An absolute delight of a book - Sterling delivers banter, charm, and mystery! A Penhallow brothers book, this has time travel, enchanted objects and a healthy amount of spice
Another perfectly witchy romance from Erin Sterling! I loved the first two in this series, and The Wedding Witch was just as good. Totally absorbing, filled with lovable witches (and humans), delightful banter, it was too entertaining to put down.
My only concern is whether there will be a fourth book!
I enoyed this book so so much. I was glad to be back to the world because I actually adored the first and second book. As per usual with Erin Sterling books, I loved the writing. I found the characters enjoyable and the pace of the story really good.
A sweet, fun, quick read! This was a enjoyable read, especially since I wasn't sure how much I'd like this brother given how he was the in the previous books, but Bowen and Tamsyn were a lot of fun! The end was a little hand-wavey (i.e. oh look, all of our problems are gone despite us not having done much to fix them) but otherwise I enjoyed this book. Perfect for a day reading curled up with a cup of tea.
I didn't think this book would become my favorite of the three because I loved the first two so much, but it really is.
Bowen, who wegot wonderful glimpses of in the previous two books find love in an unexpected place: Tamsyn (Amanda) from the first book. One thing I loved is that the Bowen we got glimplses of (powerful, strong, silent, able to be alone, but still caring and family orientated) is still there.
I was afraid it might have become a grumpy sunshine in the way that made him someone who we hadn't seen in the other books.
There's not a lot more you can say about the story beyond the blurb without giving something away. I will say, I love how both of them aren't fighting it, that they know and are all in. Even when they think the other isn't.
Here's my one story thing: <spoiler> if you're a stickler for non-circular time travel, as in "this couldn't happen bc if they didn't time travel it wouldn't have happened so they wouldn't have had to time travel, etc" take the time travel thing off the plot table and just enjoy the romance. That's what I did and give it two big thumbs up! </spoiler>
I read the Ex Hex when it first came out and was in love with the characters and the fun magical side of it. I was so excited to read The Wedding Witch and enjoyed the fun, cute romance in this series. Bowen and Tamsyn have a working relationship, so while these two have instant chemistry, they try to maintain a professional relationship... until they get thrown back in time. However, while reading this, I felt like we missed a chunk of their backstory. Most of their chemistry felt like it didn't have any history to support it. The spicy scenes in this also felt very random, like it happened too quickly in the story without any lead up. Overall, I enjoyed this story and it felt like the perfect quick read, but it wasn't my favorite.
The final installment of the Graves Glen series is here! This one had a different spin on things with it being a time travel storyline. I was happy to finally get to know more about the third Penhallow brother, but even with his own book, I still didn't feel a connection with his character. This one starts off strong in the Holiday season and the chemistry between Tamsyn and Bowen. The storyline starts to get a little choppy in the middle though. I did enjoy the connection that our two main characters had when they were together. This one had a good amount of spice for romance readers hoping for that! I think this one has a lot of great potential and will be perfect for others, especially those who have read and enjoyed the first two in the series! However, it was unfortunately my least favorite of this trilogy. I think I was hoping to spend more time in Graves Glen than we got in this book. It was a very quick and enjoyable read though! Perfect for when you need a palate cleanser.
Erin Sterling does it, again! What a cute and cozy follow up to the first two books. I love that this book took place during Christmastime/Yule. There’s time travel, witches, and love! What more could you ask for? I loved the chemistry between Bowen and Tamsyn. I do wish the former characters were in this book a little more than they were.
I received an advanced copy from NetGalley and the publisher.
I received a free ARC of this book from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. I really liked this book. The characters were funny, I enjoyed glimpses of the previous characters. The only weird thing that wasn't weird was the sorta insta-love but it wasn't because they had been working together for a while you just didn't get a ton of that back story included in it. But overall I really liked this.
I absolutely ate up the first two books 'The Ex Hex' and 'The Kiss Curse' By Author Erin Sterling, Book three 'The Wedding Witch' was no different. I was hooked from the very start and could not put the book down.
This book is quick, funny and cozy. It has the perfect Grumpy x Sunshine duo, one bed, fake marriage, mistletoe kisses, banter, found family. There is also a large magical aspect of the book including time travel!
This time we follow Tamsyn who we met in book one and Bowen the final Penhallow brother. In previous books Bowen is referred to as the lone mountain man, recluse and a werewolf! (He is not really a werewolf) In this book we watch him transform into a man who wants to be around people or maybe just a certain someone.
Tamsyn is our sunshine happy thief, Ope sorry... Tamsyn is an acquirer of magical objects and freelance works for the highest dollar. That is until Bowen hires her and they make a bargain; she only works for him.

Bowen has Tamsyn traveling all around the world finding anything and everything. Bowen has to go visit family for Yule and Tamsyn has some time off, deciding to take a new job and not tell Bowen. However what happens when Bowen shows up at the same creepy manor in Wales?
Ah overall this book was absolutely perfect and i'm sad the story has ended.
This story was pretty good. Parts were funny. There was mild spice. Bowen and Tamsyn were an interesting match. The dynamic of a witch and a human relationship was fun. Tamsyn brought Bowen out of his shell. I wish there was more after they returned from their adventure. This book left me with a few unanswered questions.
Thanks to NetGalley and Avon/Harper Voyager for this eARC!
Christmas in June, very exciting part of the summer, as the seasonal ARCs begin to come out.
Full disclosure, I don't remember much about the past books in the series, except that I liked them (this is not a problem with these books, just with me). I liked this one too! I thought this particular witchy vibe was great at Yule (witch Christmas), and I loved the estate/house party vibes. Erin Sterling/Rachel Hawkins is also funny, always a bonus! If you liked the past books, this one is similarly fun and does have excellent cozy winter vibes.
This was a cute, fast read! Great christmas with magic vibes. 3.5 stars!
We are back with the Penhallow brothers and this time it is Bowens turn. This is a cute „i dont get involved with people I work with“ romance mixed with a time travel element and christmas. Overall this was very enjoyable. The charcters are fun, the setting is magical with Christmas and an old castle and the vibes are just great. The beginning is slow and it took a while until we get to the actual meet of the book, but other than that - very cute!
This was a super cute easy read. I'm so glad we got a Bowen book in this series, it's by far the best out of the 3 and i loooovvveedd them. Romance, time travel, banter, spice, and spells all in one book?! This is the best cozy, haunted, romance i've ever read.
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC.
The Wedding Witch by Erin Sterling is the third installment of the Ex Hex series set in the fictional town of Graves Glenn. The Wedding Witch focuses on the third Penhallow brother, Bowen, as he falls more and more for the witch antiquities dealer, Tamsyn. Tamsyn also is fighting her own feelings about the moody and brooding Bowen and it gets harder and harder to stick to her rule of "no sleeping with clients".
When Tamsyn and Bowen find themselves both in the throws of a decades long witch mistake, they must face their own regrets and feelings once and for all.
I really enjoyed this third book of the Ex Hex series. It was originally slated to be published last year but Erin Sterling posted that she postponded The Wedding Witch (then named The Wedding Wish) due to burnout and needing a personal break. I'm glad she did, because The Wedding Witch felt fun and purposeful from the moment I started reading. If you like books where there is miscommunication, unspoken feelings, fake dating/married, spicy scenes, and time travel -- you will love The Wedding Witch.
Thank you to NetGalley for the advanced reader copy in exchange for my honest review.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was such a cute, fun read! Witchy but also Christmas vibes? Time travel, ghosts, a mystery to solve, and forced proximity (one bed!)… what’s not to love?!
Tamsyn & Bowen had serious chemistry. I loved their witty banter and friendship. The story was interesting right off the bat and pulled me in immediately.
Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review!
I think this was my favorite of the series. It was so clever and had such a happy ending and I couldn’t see where it was going at all. In a great way.
*4.5 stars ✨
I love this series with my whole heart 💜 However, I don’t think this was the strongest story. What starts out as a business arrangement turns into a friendship of sorts between Bowen & Tamsyn. Then something happens in December 2024 that brings them into December 1957. Now they have to figure out what they need to accomplish so they can return to their own time. This had plenty of banter, some adventure—time travel—, and some witchy moments that brings two people together. Loved the side characters and seeing the couples from the previous two books. My only complaint and just a personal preference, is that this had more cussing and very steamy scenes. Otherwise, an enjoyable story.
Another home run by Sterling! The Wedding Witch had all the elements of a great romance novel--banter, only one bed, epic grandmothers!--along with the fun of a timeslip story. I loved the characters of Tamsyn and Bowen and trying to figure out just how they would return to the present was a fun challenge. I'll be waiting for the next series with bated breath!
Erin Sterling sure knows how to create an atmospheric read! I loved this book! Equal parts cute and cozy mixed with family and history. Add in hauntings and secrets, if makes the perfect Fall read!!!
