The Ex Hex series feels like a warm Halloween autumn hug while reading in the best way. This book made me feel all the feels. I felt like it was the perfect addition to the The Ex Hex books and that it was done very nicely with a pretty bow on top. Thank you for an arc copy of this book to read and review before published in exchange for an honest review. Reviews have been posted on goodreads and amazon.
There was a lot to enjoy here. I only with that we had gotten to see more of their banter as they fell in love. Instead, there is a time jump where we are given a small taste of their banter and then they realize that they are in love.
The Wedding Witch by Erin Sterling was a light-hearted read, perfect for a cozy weekend on the couch. This was my first book by Erin Sterling, and even though it’s clearly part of a series, I was able to completely enjoy the story as a standalone. I felt like Bowen and Tamsyn were perfectly paired for the accidental time travel adventure. He was a bearded grumpy-sunshine witch, and she a spunky mortal female for balance. For me, the entire story could have been carried by Tamsyn’s humor.
My favorite Tamsyn quotes:
“You are a Bad B!tch,” she reminded herself, even as she sank a little deeper into the water. “You’re not gonna say the I ain’t afraid of no ghosts thing, but you’re going to think it. Except you just said it because you’re talking to yourself again, which is definitely a sign that you are not feeling your Baddest and B!tchiest.”
“It’s my fault for taking a stupid job just because I wanted enough money not to work for you anymore. And I only wanted not to work for you anymore so I didn’t feel guilty about doing all the s3x to you, which I’ve now done anyway. So seriously, this is all on me, and also my v@gina.”
The Wedding Witch is an easy-going romance.
I would have enjoyed a little more conflict, but still loved this store. I kept waiting for someone to betray them. A quick sabotage plot to try to trap them in the past, but maybe I’m just accustomed to the darker sides of romance stories. Overall, this was a funny and entertaining read that I would recommend to friends and fans of witchy romance.
It was fun, cozy read as I love paranormal or witch themed books, it took me a bit to get into the story and the pace wasn’t the greatest either, overall it ended up being enjoyable.
This started a little slow for me and I nearly didn't return to finish it after the first couple of chapters.
But, it picks up quickly and the extra characters make the story come alive from Lady Meredith/Annie, Emerald, and Bowen's bickering grandparents. And, Bowen, for all his gruff is the sweetest Penhallow brother when he opens up to Tamsyn. Especially once we learn why he has kept to himself all these years. It was really enjoyable with a cozy touch of Yuletide holiday festiveness.
Another installment in the Graves Glen series, The Wedding Witch follows the final Penhallow brother, Bowen. He hires Tamsyn, a non-witch, to be his personal procurer of magical items, and he falls in love with her. Well, they fall in love with each other :D
Unfortunately, I found roughly the first half of this book to be slow and rather boring, but I started to get more into the story when they traveled back in time. The resolution to their problem did seem a little rushed. I also wasn't in love with either Bowen or Tamsyn, and their relationship felt a little too insta-love, which isn't something that I love in a story. I think if you read The Ex-Hex and/or The Kiss Curse and liked them, you'll also enjoy this one.
“From the moment you walked into that pub,” he said, “I knew you’d be the making and the ruin of me all at once, woman.”
Another fun, cozy installment in the Graves Glen series! The Wedding Witch follows our final Penhallow brother, Bowen. He hires Tamsyn, a non-witch, to be his personal procurer of magical items, and it doesn’t hurt that she’s insanely hot and they have great chemistry! Bowen and Tamsyn find themselves in a bit of a sticky situation when a procurement mission falls a bit off track…
I loved the first two books in this series, so immediately knew I had to read this one as well. While this is still light-hearted, I did find this one to be a bit higher stakes, which was exciting. *As a disclaimer, I’ve been in a bit of a reading slump and started this when I was pretty tired, so that could certainly be affecting my rating.* I didn’t like this one quite as much as the first two in the series. I found the beginning / first half to be a little slow and boring. I was feeling a little confused with all the characters being introduced and keeping track of their names. I also didn’t love the chemistry between the characters in the beginning; the banter was great and I like Tamsyn and Bowen as individual characters, but together they felt very rushed and lacking. I didn’t find myself rooting for them until much later on in the book. The conclusion was satisfying to me (but only if you don’t think too much about it). I have a lot of questions still because I don’t think each of the storylines were wrapped up or explained super clearly.
That said, the story picked up for me a lot in the second half! There is lots of action and adventure, and the characters’ chemistry picked up for me as well. I enjoyed that this one has a different feel and storyline than the first two books in the series. (I thought Ex Hex and Kiss Curse were extremely similar). I loved all of the magical elements in this one and especially the time traveling.
I thought the pacing was a little off and insta-love is just not my jam, but overall I thought this was a fun addition to the series and I’m happy I read it! A great cozy fall/winter read.
Thank you to Netgalley, Erin Sterling, and Avon and Harper Voyager for providing this book for review consideration. All opinions are my own.
Content warnings: sexual content, death
This was such a fun book to read and ended up reading half of the book in one sitting! I was in the mood for something witchy to get into spooky season and this did it for me. It wasn’t too scary and was cute and sweet even with the ghosts (think Harry Potter friendly ghosts). The characters immediately draw you in and I was invested with Tamsyn and Bowen’s story. Their chemistry is electric and I loved their banter. I didn’t realize that there were other books in the series already so I will definitely have to backtrack and read those since this was so enjoyable!
I really liked the beginning of this book, but towards the end I was starting to feel like there were a lot of plot points that were just loose.
I felt like Bowen and Tamsyn’s relationship progressed very well. As a romance book it did exactly what it needed to do. I loved the time travel element. I felt like the concept of going back in term to prevent his grandparents from breaking up for good was the right move. But post that with Declan I felt like I started to feel like we lost some plot here.
I do feel like overall the story flowed well for about 75-80% of the book. And the setting in Wales was a nice change from the other two books. But I would have liked to send some more time in Graves Glen.
I received the ebook as an Arc from NetGalley. Thank you NetGalley!!
I absolutely love this series! The first two books are the perfect witchy, romcom formula. They were also both set around Halloween, whereas this book is set around Christmas. I’m not a huge fan of Christmas so I was a bit skeptical going in but I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to continue this beloved series. This turned out to be a cute romance centered around the third Penhollow brother, who we’ve only seen bits and pieces of in the other books. He’s come down off his mountain to attend a wedding at the request of a friend. Of course, as with all books like this, something goes wrong - in this case, that something wrong was a spell that threw him and our FMC back in time. There were several recognizable tropes, including the one bed trope.
I do miss the Halloween atmosphere of the previous two books, but this was OK. Overall, I’m giving it a 3.5.
Bowen Penhallow is a loner (except for his friend Declan who is, admittedly, a ghost). But he has been having a bit of back and forth with Tamsyn Bligh. She is a procurer of magical items. How does she get them? Eh. Maybe best not to ask. But she is a human who is not put off by magical things. She does enjoy meeting Bowen.
But when she arrives at a house party and realizes that he is there too, she's a bit shocked. Even more shocking is a spell that sends them back in time where they will need to help his grandparents fall in love. They do adjust the course of history, but they also fall in love.
The plotlines don't quite all fit together but it's an overall fun story.
Three and a half stars

Opinions are my own
This is the perfect read for that in between time that exists between spooky season and the holidays. The banter and crackling chemistry between the two main characters made for some laugh out loud moments. Sprinkle in a subplot of intrigue, heist and a side helping of time travel, and you have yourself one heck of a fun read. I have loved all of the books in the Graves Glen series, and this latest installment did not disappoint. Thank you to Avon and NetGalley for my gifted ARC!
"Never let a good mistletoe moment pass by."

While I wasn't expecting this to be Christmas-themed when the other two were very much Halloween, you'll never catch me complaining about some mistletoe magic. Plus, when it has time travel and a lil bit of treasure-hunting thrown in? Creates a gift for the season.
This might not be my favorite of the trilogy (I can't ever let go of people named Rhys, apparently), but I have never been one to turn down a good old-fashioned Christmas tale

I just love this series of books, and they are always the first book I read every fall. This one met the expectations of the others, and I hope the series continues.
The third book in the series the story of Bowel Penhallow and Tamsyn Bligh- both characters introduced in previous Ex Hex books.
Positives:
I just love the characters in this series
The setting is magical (see what I did there?)
This one combined Christmas combined with cozy fall vibes, travels to the past, ancestory, a mystery, a precious artifact
and of course love
These books just make me happy, and I will read as many as she wants to write. I was happy to read it early even though it felt a bit more like a holiday book and I would probably read it in December if I had the chance to redo it.
Third in the series this book follows a reclusive witch with a past and the woman he hires to procure goods that may save his friend. There is time travel, visits with characters from previous books, and a secret wedding. This book was such a fun read.
Utterly adorable!
I love the Ex Hex series and this one didn't disappoint. I actually preferred it to the second one - although I enjoyed The Kiss Curse and love those characters, it slightly felt like a repeat of the first in the series. So I was so pleasantly surprised that this one really was its own unique story in the series. This was similar of course to the first two with the characters, witchy-ness and magical romance but I loved that this featured a time travel spell that took the two main characters into the past as well as the Christmas-y feel of the setting.
I LOVE the main characters Bowen & Tamsyn and their romance - I especially loved getting to see our favorite characters from the first two novels at the beginning AND end of this book and the family dynamics of the brothers especially in these scenes.
This series is just great fun and perfect for fall reading - although I would even say The Wedding Witch would make a good winter read! I will absolutely continue to read any more installments of this series - it's just good, entertaining fun!
5 stars. I adore this whole series!
This book brings us a change of scenery, away from Graves Glen and Halloween, transporting us to Wales at Christmas time!
It’s cute, it’s cosy and it’s funny. The characters are great and the plot is fun and joyful. What more could you ask for?
I loved how this friends-to-lovers relationship developed. The fact that they knew each other for a whole year before the plot and romance kicked in made me squeal! That said, people who dislike a casual time skip will probably hate this part. However, I adored how the passage of time was handled in this!
I can’t go into detail about the plot of this one, because it would get spoilery very quickly and I loved going into this blindly. Suffice it to say, there are some very fun tropes involved!
I will say that the inserted “Welshness” is still very weird and unnecessary. It’s also more noticeable this time because the meat of the story is set in Wales. But that part is my only critique about this entire series and if you can manage to just ignore those words, it’s not a problem at all! I’ve read many much, much worse books of the 'Americans in Europe, written without any research' variety!
This series has become a favourite romance series for me. The second book is still the standout and an easy all-time favourite, but I’ll be re-reading all three books without a doubt!
3.5⭐️
This was a cute continuation of this storyline. I really enjoyed the first book, liked the second book almost as much, and then this one was right under that. I think these are super cute and cozy. I’d love to live in Graves Glen and really love this little universe. Definitely a super fun and comfy book I’d recommend to people!
It’s witchy it’s sexy and it’s the third book in a trilogy. I had such a great time reading this from beginning to end. I feel like I’ve lived in this world since I got the first book on netgalley in 2020.
The Wedding Witch is my third and new favorite by Erin Sterling! Not only did we get a new setting for this installment, but we also got a time travel plotline! The banter, the flirting, the angst... Bowen and Tamsyn are grumpy/sunshine perfection.
