Isabelle hid behind a facade of truly having everything; however, her life was rich only with respect to money. She had no friends save for her assistant Kaia and pushed everyone away including Jonathan who loved her as the person she was. He believed she could become so much more than her initial statement to him that unless it was a Michelin star restaurant, that don't even bother with dinner. However, with the reemergence of her sister Elaina, Izzy-belle began to come back to life. As she explored the different lives she could have had, she came to realize how empty and small hers was. In pushing everyone away in order to avoid rejection, no award could overcome the lack of her truly living. She began to see how people who care for you such as her mother, that the live never dissipates. The ending was wonderful as she came to realize how much she wanted her family to be her family again and how beneficial it is to champion for charitable causes that go beyond her writing a check. There was no need for her to see how she could have lived. She created a great life for herself in the present one.
"Her life had easily snapped in two pieces like a piece of spun sugar, so delicate and fragile. Before and after."
Jody Holford's All the Other Me is a sweeping, emotional page turner perfect for anyone who's ever wondered about the paths not taken. Part emotional sister redemption story and part achingly slow burn love story, this book is a perfect book club read I couldn't put down.
Wealthy and successful Isabelle Duprees and estranged sister Elaina embark on an impromptu road trip that peels back layers of hurt feelings, resentments, and an overwhelming love between sisters who experienced the same family events in starkly different ways.
Beautifully written and lyrical, raw and witty at just the right moments, All the Other Me will stay with me. I loved it, and I'll be reading more of this author's books!
I'm always drawn to "Sliding Glass"-type stories that ask the "what if?" question, so had to read "All The Other Me." The writing was smooth, and I enjoyed the places the novel took me. Recommended for anyone who enjoys contemporary "what if?" novels or fans of Holford's work. Thanks to NetGalley and publisher for the ARC.

Thank you so much NetGalley for the ARC! This was an extremely quick read for me. The author’s writing was seamless and the plot was original. It reminded me of Rebecca Serle’s works, with a partial suspension of disbelief required. Why I rounded down to 4, was I felt that there was a lot of buildup before seeing the alternate paths Isabelle could have taken. Once inside those lives, it felt Isabella’s observations were a bit rushed. Would definitely read more from this author!!
Another amazing hit from my favorite author. Love the story and can’t wait to read more from this author. An auto buy with her for sure!
