After an accident leaves Logan, River’s boyfriend, dead, River goes on the run and with the help of her friends they stay on the run for months.

The pacing was fast and the book kept me engaged from the very beginning. The friendships were one of my favorite things about Running on Empty. I liked the twists and turns. One bad thing is that it was a very long book, even though it was only about 350 pages.
