This was an emotional book with a few twists. It was hard to put down because it was so consuming.
Many thanks to Greenleaf Book Group and to NetGalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest feedback.
I did not finish the first book in this series and therefore, did not attempt to read the rest of the trilogy. The story did not hold my attention.
"Twisted Webs" is oh, so adequately titled. "Twisted" embodies the best description I can think of to describe this intriguing book. Having the ability to catch up with main characters from earlier books in the series is very enjoyable. However, that is not to say that you need to have read the previous books in order to understand this story. True to her master writing craft, Darleen Quinn provides precisely the right amount of information so that you don't feel lost in the book at hand.
This book really made me ponder about what my reaction to finding myself surrounded by the same plot would entail. As a reader, you are able to glimpse how you would react, yet you see a different side as well. This is quite fun and certainly engaging.
I was hooked upon first getting into the story and I couldn't predict it easily at all. I am happy to say that I enjoyed it to the end!
Thank you for this book. I received it from NetGalley for my honest review. Unfortunately I have not had. A chance to read it. I will though. It was a tough year with my husband having a couple of surgeries and complications still from that. I will read this book though. I think it’s to late to leave a review here and I am very sorry. I know I will like this one though. Thank you again and please understand.
Web of Power has laid the foundation for this book. Ashley Taylor, a stunning and beautiful woman, had given birth to twins. When one of the twins is stolen from her crib before they even leave the hospital, Ashley vows to never give up on finding her daughter.
Eight years have passed and they have still not found Cassie. How can no one know where she is? The suspense that is in each chapter as other situations with the other characters evolve, along with finding who took Cassie is brilliantly done by Darlene Quinn.
Could Caroline Stuart have hired someone to kidnap the infant because of her jealousy and desire for the Taylor family to suffer pain, as she does? Was it the Jordan's department store executive a suspect? Cassie's father has hired a detective to help out during the search for Cassie. This book will leave you turning the pages quicker than you realize. I can't wait for the next book to find out what is going to happen next with this cast of characters!
