“Survival of the Fittest: Who's Got the Best Medicine?” by Rebecca Donnelly is an engaging and informative nonfiction book that explores the fascinating ways animals have evolved to heal themselves in the wild — and how those same strategies have influenced modern medicine. The book provides through clear, engaging text and interesting real-world examples.
This book would make a great addition to any school library, especially for middle-grade readers interested in science, animals, or medicine.
Thanks to NetGallery and Macmillan Children's Publishing Group for an advanced copy of this ebook in exchange for my honest review.

Join Mosquito, Sea Urchin, Octopus and more as they share their unique anatomies and try to impress the sharks. Each will share how they have inspired a medical innovation that might just change the world. With a delightful mix of humor and science, this graphic novel introduces kids to some amazing creatures and shares about real-world designs based on each one. This book is bound to be a hit with animal-lovers and fans of nonfiction graphic novels, like the Science Comics series.

I read this book with my 6 year old son. He thought it was funny and loved learning the information. I also think my 2nd grade students would like this book as well. We are looking forward the the 2nd book.

A sweet graphic novel that introduces some of the amazing capabilities of wildlife and how some of those abilities have been applied to today’s medicine. There are fun jokes and illustrations. As someone who often struggles with graphic novels this was very straight forward.

If Shark Tank had actual sharks! This informative graphic novel series handles animal adaptations in a fun and engaging way for our young learners.
In this installment, animals are competing in a Shark Tank-esque reality show by pitching their ideas for medical technology. Perfect for our animal-loving, elementary-age readers!
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC!

Requested this book on NetGalley for my 9-year-old animal lover. Here are this thoughts:
This is a very good book. It's about different types of things humans could use that are based off of animal abilities. It's funny, and it's also an educational book that I'd suggest to some doctors or people who develop tools for doctors because it has a lot of things that would really help the human world. I would recommend this book to animal lovers (like me!) or people who are interested in science (also like me!).
Note: I received a review copy of this book via NetGalley.
Planning to post on Amazon after publication.

My sons love to learn animal facts, and this graphic novel is perfect for them, with some familiar facts as well as new facts about biomedicine. I think this will be a good choice for reluctant readers who are interested in science and non-fiction, but enjoy funny graphic novels as well.
