One night stand meets spicy romcom in this cute romance novel. Set in a small town with all the fireworks, this is a great romance read. It fell a little flat for me in the believability of their past relationship morphing into their new relationship.
This was a super cute brothers best friend Romance that I finished in less than 24 hours!
He needs clear cut rules, she needs adventure. When they both end up back in their respective grandmothers small town, the rules are set. Now can they keep them?
One rule they can definitely follow is telling each other their bedroom fantasies… then making them come true 🔥
This is def one you should pick up!!
This was not my favorite. I did not find Anna very likable and was just not interested in her story.
ONE NIGHT STAND EVER AFTER By Amanda Usen
Anna Rivera may not be ready to say goodbye to her burlesque troupe—or New York City—but she’s determined to go out with a bang. Which is when she sees a face in the crowd that sends her heart rate through the roof. Max Cooper. Her brother’s friend, and the object of many, many teenage fantasies. But while Max may look like sin in a suit, he’s not prepared for the moves she’s got in store…
Max knows he should turn away—Anna’s been off-limits forever—but he can’t help himself. The electric connection sizzles between them, but Max knows better than to play with fire. This calls for rules. Boundaries. Setting out expectations. Just a hot little hook-up and that’s it.
But fate plays dirty. Soon Max and Anna find themselves stuck in their small hometown together, and avoiding that sexy spark is impossible. Now they’re sneaking around enjoying one month of no-holds-barred, unbelievably wicked sex—until Anna leaves for her next gig. And all the consequences in the world might not be enough to stop this fling they’ve started…

Thank you, Amanda Usen & Entangled Publishing for a copy.
It was cute. An enjoyable quick read with fun moments, but lacked depth and connection between the characters
I loved how the characters were completely different. They had a good backstory through the book which explained the characters better. They developed well and realized that they only needed each other in the end.
I really struggled to get into this. I got over 20% in but didn't feel any sort of connection to the characters or their relationship.
Its a slow burn steamy romance, but it lacked a bit of depth for me to actually enjoy that slow burn. I didn't really connect to the characters, sadly.
I felt like there was simply no depth to this story and that it focused way too much on the sexual chemistry between the characters rather than having them build out a valid relationship with each other. As a result, I just had to DNF because it truly did lack substance.
Thank you to Netgalley and the author Amanda Usen for letting me read along with review this book ARC. This was a four star romance read that comes out June 17th 2024; and had amazing tropes. The tropes were enemies to lovers, forced proximity, brother's best friend, slow burn, and small town.
This one is a S T E A M Y, brother’s friend, forced proximity romance. Coming in at 230 pages it’s the perfect quick beach or pool read. It has small town vibes, with quirky characters, and a fun feel. Im also in love with the purple cover! ☺️
I loved this book. The slow burn, the enemies to lovers it was amazing. The story itself was really captivating. I unfortunately had a lot go on in my personal life so I didn’t have a lot of free time but when I did I could not put it down. I read half the book in a few hours that is have captivating it was! I would 100% recommend reading it.
What a complicated journey! But I loved it. Anna and Max have such cute personalities. The character's are both well developed. As Anna and Max navigate their desire, they discover that sometimes the most unforgettable moments happen when you least expect them. Their past, present, and future collide, making their one-night stand ever after anything but forgettable. Secret crush when they are teenagers, he was her brother's friend. The spice is there, one night stand turned something else, opposites-attract, forbidden love! Those are all great things to have in a story and Amanda Usen uses them to be one of the best page turners I truly enjoyed the story!
I am a sucker for small town romances, so this was right up my alley. This reminded me of a hallmark movie with added spice, and I was here for it. Anna and Max were strong main characters and there connection was well written. I do wish I would have read the first few books in the series to get the full reading experience. Thank you to Entangled and NetGalley for the chance to read this in exchange for my honest opinion!
The spice! The spice was everything. However the characters and the plot fell flat for me. I didn't feel any connection or spark between the two main characters. Overall a good read, but I like a bit more depth with my spice. Definitely fans of other romance contemporary authors would enjoy this one!
I am sure this would have been a good read, but unfortunately I did not get a chance to get to this before the title was archived. I would be interested in finding a reasonably priced physical copy when I get a chance!
I have read the first book of this series and I loved it. Missed the second so I was intrigued to pick this one up. It was steamy for sure but I didn't feel a real connection with the characters at all. I felt their connection but it did a little forced as well. I did enjoy them and thought they were cute. The story seemed to go slow and then go fast and then slow again.
It was a quick read and it was cute. I would still recommend it!
Younger sister, forbidden love. Anna and Max knew each other growing up, years later a chance meeting, led to a one night stand with no strings attached. But fate has it different, their grandmothers each call them back to their hometown. Sparks fly once again but they each agree still to no strings attached but will their hearts listen to the same.
A fun rom com with some good heat. Loved the little match making of the grandma's. This is the third book in the series, I have not read the first two yet and had no problems reading. I highly recommend for a light summer read.
I struggled with this one, I usually want a little more depth and conflict for characters. It keeps me coming back to SD m see what happens next. While it was a struggle read I still enjoyed the basic of the story. I hold you at least test the waters and check out this story. Thank you entangled for the opportunity to review this ARC.
Loved this one! Great and fun read. Highly recommend.
Many thanks to the publisher, Netgalley, and the author for my ARC.
