I totally enjoyed this book by Author Season Vining.
It has what I like which is a messed up heroine and some mind blowing scenes that left me speechless.
Sometimes, what I want to read is a tense, angsty, edgy romance, and "Beautiful Addictions" delivers just that. Though the writing is sometimes OTT dramatic and the prose can be a little purple, I still got lost in the story of Josie – a depressed amnesiac who finds herself drawn to Tristan, a bartender – and Tristan, the guy who remembers everything about Josie's past.
As I learned more about Josie and Tristan, and could feel the tension building in how the past is coming back to haunt them, I let myself be sucked into the story and stopped trying to predict any twists and turns so that I could just enjoy the ride. Though the story isn't comfortable or fun – in fact it can be frustrating and deeply sad – I really enjoyed this romance!
This book was requested when I was young and requested more books than I could possibly read. Sadly, I no longer have access to this book and my tastes have changed. Thus I will not be able to give feedback on this title.
