I was able to read this because NetGalley provided with an arc. I loved this romance. Great Read. I would read more by this author.

The banter was wonderful, the storyline is a bit far fetched in my opinion. OVerall a fun read for romcom lovers.

Between the banter and the story in this book I must say this was quite a delight to read. Absolutely loved it and recommend it. If you’re a fan of Ali Hazelwood then you will definitely love this one too.

First of all, thank you to NetGalley for the opportunity to review an ARC of this book. Unfortunately, due to some unforeseen circumstances I was unable to download and review this book on time. That said, I have since purchased this book and have read it, there fore would still love to complete this review.

I was so excited to read this, especially since I love Ali Hazelwood STEM books and this was on par with those.

It was unfortunate that as much as I wanted to enjoy this book, that I felt distracted while reading. It could have been that life was getting in the way, but i tried my hardest to stay on point.

I did finish after some time, and the second half of the book, I enjoyed more than the first.

I will read this again and hope to enjoy it more :)

this one is for the millennials and ali hazelwood fans! if you have a fascination with astronomy or women in stem, this truly might be the book for you!!

personally, did not love this read. a lot of the writing felt awkward and forced, which made it hard to fully enjoy the plot. however, i was totally in love with allie’s big crazy family which honestly made that dynamic fun to read, coming from a big family myself.

i did find allie to be rather insufferable… as someone who is stubborn i found her stubbornness to be a bit of an overkill. it felt unproductive and frankly sort of exhausting to read.

all in all, i’d say it was an ok book for me.

Love Signals by Melanie Summers is an absolute delight—a fresh, witty, and heartwarming romance that kept me smiling from start to finish. Summers has a knack for creating lovable characters and charming settings, and this book is no exception. The plot is fun, modern, and filled with the perfect blend of humor and heart.

The story follows two characters with undeniable chemistry as they navigate the ups and downs of love, communication, and modern relationships. Summers does a fantastic job of capturing the complexities of dating in today's world, making it incredibly relatable. The banter between the characters is sharp and fun, and the romantic tension builds in a way that keeps you invested in their journey from the first page to the last.

What really stands out about Love Signals is the way Summers balances humor with emotional depth, creating a feel-good romance that also tugs at your heartstrings. The side characters add even more warmth and humor to the story, making this book a true ensemble of delightful personalities.

Overall, Love Signals is a perfect read for anyone who loves a smart, funny, and heartwarming romance. Melanie Summers has once again delivered a story that’s impossible to put down!

A big thank you to Melanie Summers, NetGalley, and Indigo Group for the advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.

How can synonyms are there for the word “love?” because I’m going to need each one to describe what I feel for this book.

I found it an easy read and did enjoy the banter. There were some funny moments but I found I didn't reach for my Kindle as much as I wanted to.

Love Signals is a slow burn romance that takes you away. Even I fell hard for Husdon Finch, who really just wants to be seen for being him. Alli wants to be at odds with him, but sees more to him that what the camera ever shows. Thanks NetGalley for the ARC!

Allie is lovable, flawed, and completely believable. There is plenty of humor in this one (I love the whole concept of looking like you smell bad—I’ve experienced it) and a sweet romance that will warm your heart. Plus, I love learning so much more about SETI and the search for what else is out there in the universe. Highly recommended for a feel-good, funny, and satisfying read.

Love signals is a book that falls right in the middle and i give it a 3 star rating, it was comforting and familiar, not a showstopper with unexpected twists or turns
The story though predictable unfolds in a beautiful way, the chemistry was undeniable, the characters full of emotions and most of all fun dialogues from the big family ( i definitely still don't understand her father's chili logic but it made me laugh)

It does also emphasize on important subjects such as dyselxia, parenting, appreciation of one's own efforts and most of all, how love and support from your loved ones can make or break you.

What i didn't enjoy though was the 2 page reel explanation from the Fan, they could definitely be skipped

Otherwise, It provides a pleasant reading experience, perfect for unwinding after a long day
if you're looking for a feel good, easy read then this might just be the book for you.

I started reading this book right at the heels of the previous one since I enjoyed meeting the supporting cast around the previous two central figures.

Allie Cammareri is trying to create a program that will help her parse through different signals and figure out the ones that will actually help figure out information about extraterrestrial life. It is at this point that she gets saddled with an actor who is not someone who usually does serious roles that require a shadowing of this magnitude. The latter also harbours a secret, and the actions he takes to hide it come back to bite him at the wrong time in his possible happily ever after.

This book also has family dramas like the first, but they are of a different sort. We also spend a lot of time with both sets of families in one way or another. The random conversation changes tended to be fun.

I liked the author’s writing style, as well as the people we encounter in the tale. There is a certain variety and it is easy to distinguish between the different characters. The only flaw might be that both the female leads are a little too similar, unlike the rest of the people.

I would recommend this book as part of the series to fans of the romance genre.
I received the book as an ARC thanks to NetGalley and the publishers but the review is entirely based on my own reading experience.

Dr. Allie Cammareri is brilliant in her career but not when it comes to susing out lying, cheating men. When she is not only passed over again to present her work at world SETI conference, she also is informed she has to babysit actor Hudson Finch to prepare for a role as the founder of her Research Institute. She has vowed to keep lying men out of reach so she can final complete a industry changing project all on her own. She did not expect to fall in love.

This one is a hard one and I almost didn’t finish it. As a woman in STEM, I love lady scientists, but not this one. She just seemed so….late teens/early 20s for a mid-30 year old and she’s very quick to make snap judgements about people before she even interacts with them. Hudson is honestly carrying this whole book and the main reason I kept reading it. Almost every character felt more fleshed out than Allie did, which was disappointing. It’s not bad, but it’s not amazing
Random Notes from my read
* Allie is kind of judgmental. Like, extremely judgmental. And because why? One crap ex bf?
* Allie is supposed to be in her 30s and her inner voice sounds maybe 16. I can’t quote the book, since this is an ARC, but she’s constantly saying things like “suck it”
* She is so caught up in the supposed lie that he told, when she lies every other sentence to him. He didn’t even tell the lie he just didn’t correct the person interviewing him.
* I like Hudson, a lot, but Allie just seems like….not a real person? Like the author is trying to make her a boy crazed teen when she’s a PhD and brilliant (supposedly). She’s falling for him “hard”, but nothing has really happened in the book yet. Wait, how am I at 52% and literally nothing has happened?
* How is she in love already?? Nothing has happened
Many thanks to Netgalley for providing me with the DRC and allowing me to provide my honest review

Love Signals is a second in a series but does well as a standalone. This story is about Allie, a radio astronomer at SETI who is constantly being pushed aside by men taking credit for her work, and now has to deal with the hot celebrity who is shadowing her for a role. I was prepared to really really love this but I almost did not finish due to the weirdest situation with a spider bite. I am glad I stuck with it but that event was so weird to me that it felt off the rails. But stick with it because its an enjoyable story with an Italian version of the My Big Fat Greek Wedding family.

I really liked both main characters. Allie is as scientist working hard to prove herself to the the world. She is on the verge of a major walkthrough, and is trying her best to achieve it in the small amount of time she still has.
Hudson is an Actor, and a famous one. But he has been having similar roles during his career and the studio cancels his next film. His agent has an idea: he can try once again, but now in a major role of a scientist. There is only one problem.. he has dyslexia (and keeps it secret) and thinks he will never make it.
He is sent to Allie's facilities to learn all he has to about Astronomy, and there's where they meet.
At first things are a little rocky, mainly because of some misunderstanding, but the atraction is there.
Throughout his stay, they get to know one another, he meets her family (and likes them) and they fall in love.
But there are secrets that can tear one's foundation appart, and how will Allie take them? Can she forgive ou forget (and even understand)? Can Hudson overcome his fear of being even more exposed?
Well, I advise you to read and find out!
It's a good story, well written, and good for us nerdy ones.
It also shows us that our prejudices can sometimes take advantadge, and some previous misconceptions are untrue sometimes.

My review💌 : I LOVED THIS BOOK SO MUCH😭 it's so full of banter, right amount of cringe, swoon worthy scenes and spice and OMG I LOVED EVERY SECOND OF IT 😍 the characters are HILARIOUS and so loveable. The author's writing style really kept me eager to read JUST ONE MORE CHAPTER 😂 one bed trope is always a big fat YES from me 🤭

This was a cute love story. I loved the way Allegra's family was included in the story and is a typical Italian family. The similarities to how I grew up was visible in this story. I really enjoyed it! Thank you for allowing me to read and review this ARC!

Melanie Summers now owns my heart. This book arrived in my life at the perfect time. I can say that sometimes I go to pick up a romance book that got great reviews and had been terribly disappointed just because my personal-life vibes were off. The vibes were PERFECT for this book and now none of my friends will hear the end of it. This will absolutely take you out of a reading slump. I read this as a standalone, but CANNOT wait to read the remaining series.

An opposites-attract, forced proximity, only one bed, revenge romantic comedy. Allie is about to get her revenge. It’s been twelve years coming, but she’s finally going to defeat the ex who stole her research then dumped her. She’s in a race against him to finish the same big project, and there can only be one winner. All she needs is a few more weeks of working around the clock, and victory will be hers. So when her boss announces she’s being pulled off the project to mentor a Hollywood A-lister who’s preparing for an upcoming movie role, Allie is devastated. She doesn’t care that it’s People’s Sexiest Man, Hudson Finch. Allie refuses to let him get in her way, even if Hudson is the most distracting (and delicious-smelling) man on the planet. But between the close confines of her tiny office and a night stranded together in a secluded mountain cabin, her feelings for Hudson turn into something she never could’ve predicted. She may be falling hard for him, but can Allie really find her happily ever after in his muscley arms?

This was a fun rom-com that I was able to finish in one day. It is book two in the series, but can be read as a standalone. It does a really good job of explaining science and is set in a great teaching environment.

Thanks to NetGalley and Indigo Group for an eARC in exchange for an honest review.
