Unfortunately this Melanie Summers book was not for me. It was also a DNF. I tried to continue but I was not a fan of either of the two main characters. Both appeared too immature for me to want to try.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for giving me an opportunity.

Thank you for the opportunity to read this ARC. I enjoyed this story but it wasn’t a page turner. I am rating this 3.5 stars because I still liked it, it just took me a while to get through even though it’s not long.

Love Signals is a very solid 4 star read. I really loved Allie and Hudson, what a cute couple. Hudson is a very worthy male lead and I love the way he really fights for his love with Allie. I haven't read any books by Melanie Summerws in quite some time, but I really look forward to reading more in the future. Thank you NetGalley for an advanced copy..

Allie and Hudson were soooo cute !

Pretty sure I am not smart enough to be a nerd myself, but I love romance novels set in teaching or research environment.

Hudson is so much more than just a movie star. His character is really cute and smart in a practical way. Dyslexia isn't that discussed in novels, I liked it. Ally is completely work focused, a complete nerd trying to win revenge over her ex and finally be notorious for her research.

Like in most romance novels, the big issue remains the lack of communication which could have saved them so much pain. However, I liked how Hudson manages to save the day at the end.

I haven't read the first instalment of this series but it wasn't any trouble. I really liked Gwen and will probably go read her story with Ty.

Thank you to NetGalley and Indigo Group for providing this book, with my honest review below.

Melanie Summers has been a favorite author of mine so Love Signals was a book I was eager to read, and I’m so glad that much like her other books, it was light and satisfying.

Love Signals was a STEAM read with an actor and scientist coming together - her relentlessly researching to try to win an achievement significant in her field- and the perfect revenge on her discovery stealing ex, and him to retain his leading man status. With a lot of cute moments bringing the two together, and the perfect climax and conflict, this book filled the assignment of the perfect rom com. If you’re a fan of a modern day (if still slightly less than realistic) romance, this book is for you!

I looooove Melanie Summers. She has a way of writing both men and women to put them in absurd situations and make them so funny and interesting. I love a STEM romance and a hollywood hunk hero. And I loved those parts of this book. The characters themselves didn't sing for me in the way I really wanted them to. Allie just felt like the angriest woman alive and while female rage is righteous and I'm on her side regardless, hers felt petty and childish and it didn't endear her to me the way I was hoping. I like Hudson, but I spent so much time trying to figure out which real actor he reminded me of that I couldn't focus on him and his story as much as I wanted.

Melanie Summers will always be an auto read for me, but this one did not land for me and it's not going in the top five.

STEM girl romance for the win.
This was a surprisingly funny and heartwarming read. This is my first book by this author and I'll definitely be keeping up with her.

I might have been biased by being a scientist with dyslexia myself but I imagine this is an amazing read no matter who you are. Both main characters are of surprising depth and the supporting cast rounds everything out wonderfully. Two seemingly opposites attract to find they are at the core very much alike. Both of them fought the draw that they have to each other bit in the end it's just meant to be! A HEA with some steam. I accidently read this in a single sitting and lost some sleep in the process. Being a bit tired the next day was totally worth it!

An adorable read perfect for romance enthusuasts who enjoy a beautifully written love story with great and easy to root for characters!
Definetely admired Allie a lot. She's a strong character succeeding in a men's world. And Hudson is such a sweet guy. I liked the way he was with Allie.

I highly recommend this if you enjoy Ali Hazelwood

So my feelings with this one are complicated. I liked the idea. I LOVED the first like quarter. But then things moved WAY too fast. The two main characters Hudson and Allegra (Allie) didn’t even admit to liking each other before “realizing” they loved each other. Their relationship felt so rushed and the third quarter break up didn’t even make sense. I’m not against end of book break ups but this one, i don’t know. For the last third of the book, it felt like it was trying to hard to convey this deep message of finding strength in dyslexia and I think the book would’ve been better without it. I didn’t hate this book, but I didn’t really like it either.

Thank you to NetGalley and Indigo Group for the ARC

A fun rom-com with a head-strong and clever fmc. Ali hasn't had the best of luck when it comes to love and is therefore even more adamant to prove herself with her work on AI. However this plan doens't go too well when she's set to mentor the Hollywood actor Hudson. She tries to stay focused but that isn't the easiest thing.

I really liked the chemistry between Ali and Hudson. They were so sweet together and would do everything for each other. I loved the fact that Ali was a woman in STEM and how goofy Hudson appeared even though he harboured dark secrets. I think that the double POV really worked for this novel.

If you're in the mood for a laughable STEM story with loveable characters, this book is for you!
Ali Cammareri hasn't been successful in love, however, she is slaying in her work. She's working on a groundbreaking AI system that will blow away the STEM world (and hopefully her ex) Ali is driven, and focused and her bond with her Italian family is very special. But when famous star Hudson Finch shadows her, Ali's focus is harder to maintain.

Hudson Finch has always been the class clown. Funny, charming and charismatic. Qualities that have led him to become a famous star. Everyone thinks he's the perfect man, but deep down Hudson has a secret that he's too ashamed of to share. But when he meets Ali, his world shifts and makes him better.

The chemistry between Ali and Hudson is just perfect! They are made for each other and will fight for each other. Both are opening up when they're with one another, making each other a better person. As Ali tries to fight her way into the STEM world, Hudson fights his position in the film industry.

The POV shifts from Ali to Hudson, letting you glimpse into both lives and their connection with their friends and family. Every character is well written with a backstory and their connection with one another is very well written. I love how Gwen and Ty make their appearances as well.

4.8 stars!

I enjoyed this book! I'm giving this book a 4.5 stars. Allie and Hudson were both complex characters and felt real. Their relationship throughout the book was well paced. Allie's family had just the right amount of involvement in the story. The book also had enough science to really make me understand Allie's job, but not too much to make me bored. It was the perfect amount! I feel like I learned some science lessons lol. I think I will have to go back to read Gwen's story now! Solid book!

Love Signals by Melanie Summers
Love Struck Romantic Comedy No. 2
Rating: 4/5

Allie Cammareri has been planning her revenge for twelve years. Finally, she's on the brink of defeating her ex, who stole her research and broke her heart. In a race to finish the same project, Allie is determined to emerge victorious with just a few more weeks of hard work.

But when her boss pulls her off the project to mentor Hollywood A-lister Hudson Finch for an upcoming movie role, Allie's plans are derailed. She couldn't care less that Hudson is People's Sexiest Man—she's not about to let him hinder her progress.

Despite her resolve, Allie finds herself drawn to Hudson's charm and presence, even as they work closely together in her tiny office and find themselves stranded in a mountain cabin.

"Love Signals" by Melanie Summers is a wonderful blend of science and stardom, where astrophysics and Hollywood creates a constellation of laughter, earnest connections, and unexpected romance.

Allie Cammareri, a brilliant scientist with a mission to settle the score with her ex, finds her plans diverted when she's tasked with mentoring Hudson Finch. Despite her determination to stay focused, the charming and handsome Hudson proves to be a distraction she didn't see coming.

Summers' skilful storytelling brings the characters to life, and the opposites-attract dynamic between Allie and Hudson adds depth to their evolving relationship. As they navigate their feelings in close quarters, their connection blossoms into something genuine and heartwarming.

The romance between Allie and Hudson is heartwarming and relatable, despite the inevitable challenges they face. Summers also excels in portraying the quirky Cammareri family dynamics, adding humour and warmth to the story.

"Love Signals" is a standout addition to the Love Struck series, offering a fresh and captivating take on love, science, and Hollywood glamour. Melanie Summers once again proves her talent for crafting engaging and heartwarming stories that leave readers believing in the power of love.

"Love Signals" by Melanie Summers is an absolute gem of a romantic comedy, blending humor, heart, and a hefty dose of swoon-worthy moments. From the first page, I was hooked into the whirlwind adventure of protagonist Zoe and her hilarious escapades in the name of love. Summers has crafted a story that feels like chatting with your best friend over coffee—warm, witty, and utterly charming.

The chemistry between Zoe and her love interest crackles with electricity, keeping me eagerly turning the pages to see where their journey would take them next. What truly sets this novel apart is its ability to balance laugh-out-loud moments with genuine emotional depth. I found myself both giggling at Zoe's antics and rooting for her to find happiness in the end.

Summers' writing is engaging and effortless, drawing me into the world of Zoe's romantic misadventures with its vivid descriptions and snappy dialogue. The supporting cast of characters adds layers of complexity and humor, making each interaction feel authentic and memorable.

Overall, "Love Signals" earns a solid four stars from me. It's the perfect blend of romance and comedy, guaranteed to leave you with a smile on your face long after you've turned the final page. If you're in need of a feel-good read that will warm your heart and tickle your funny bone, look no further than Melanie Summers' delightful novel.

4.5⭐️

Thank you to NetGalley for sharing this ARC with me!

This was such a cute read! As a huge fan of the female in STEM characters and stories, I thought that Allie and Hudson's story was really sweet! They definitely had chemistry, the spice was good, and I liked the premise of their story (Hollywood actor comes to lab to prepare for his role as he redefines his spot in film, busy scientist doesn't want to tutor him, they fall in love).

I didn't read the first book in the series but I don't think it mattered too much. Allie and Hudson's story stands alone and it's really quite sweet! I love that Summers tackled women in STEM, trust issues, and gender stereotypes in a playful but honest way. I think both characters stood up well on their own and I appreciated the family scenes for Allie. They added a nice glimpse of a full life - and a contrast to what Hudson had and wanted in his own life.

I gave this 4.5/5 because I think it was almost perfect! Some of the media stuff felt forced (I get why there was the social media guy in between chapters but it got super annoying). I also feel like the last 10% felt a little bit expected? A few scenes had me skimming a little bit near the end - but having read many romances now, I know why things were done the way they were. Again nothing horrible and honestly, I can't deny I wanted to find out what happened in the end! Really enjoyed this read overall! Quick summer read with great romance!

This one was cute! It was slow to start but once it picked up the pace, I flew through LOVE SIGNALS by Melanie Summers

I liked that our lovers made each other better. I particularly loved the dyslexia rep and the classic trope of a movie star falling for a commoner

I struggled with Allie's obsession with work but found her to be brilliant and intelligent. The Instagram reels were a bit of an odd theme but I loved that when Hudson fell, he fell hard!

If you're after another STEM-romance, check this one out

Thanks to NetGalley and Indigo Group for the ARC! Opinions are my own

I love Melanie Summers and I always enjoy her books!

She has such a brilliant way to bringing together a story that is never like a recipe, it always has a surprise element and is never boring or standard.

The dynamic between Allie and Hudson is perfection. We love enemies to lovers, we love forced proximity and we love STEM!

The additional food analogies are spot on too!

In Love Struck #2 we return to SETI and get Allie's story.

This gem for sure can be read as a standalone.

"Hudson grins, and when his dimples pop, I swear to God, you can hear the eggs dropping all around the room, even from the post-menopausal women among us" 🤣❤️

No pepper....you want to find tomato paste. - you will know what this means when you read the book 😉

I was so excited to read more about Allie and fell in love with her and Hudson.

Dr. Allie Cammareri is brilliant in her career but not when it comes to susing out lying, cheating men. When she is not only passed over again to present her work at world SETI conference, she also is informed she has to babysit actor Hudson Finch to prepare for a role as the founder of her Research Institute. She has vowed to keep lying men out of reach so she can final complete a industry changing project all on her own. She did not expect to fall in love.

Hudson Finch is Hollywood's surfer, sexy and heartthrob favorite. Now in his final year of being 30 his agent and team advise him to take more serious roles. Hiding dyslexia for his whole life he has so many apprehensions in going to SETI to prepare for a role acting as it's founder feeling less than. What he wasn't prepared for was meeting Allie.

So many funny, sweet and candid moments as we watched Allie and Hudson story unfold. Also how they both get over there past hang ups to realize how much they care for each other.

Allie's big italian and opinionated family (much like my own) had me in stitches through out the book and both helped and hurt her cause when it came to Hudson.

Hudson's handsome hollywood image being discovered as a front for self doubt, but also his need to be mostly that sweet caring persona without realizing it.

I soooo recommend this book!

I've read The Space Between Us, the reason why I gave a chance to this book. The Dyslexia rep was perfectly finetuned in the book. I enjoyed most of the parts but the overstretched drama made me skim and skip chapters.
