I didn't remember that this book was about peanut energy, but it works so seamlessly. I think kids will love this book.

Loved this so much. Great mix of educational and fun. This would be a great story for kids.

Benjamin Carver 3 is a kid genius! He and his family run the local peanut factory, but he also has a peanut allergy! Benjamin has to be extremely careful because of this so he’s invented tons of things to help keep him safe while in the factory and at home. The only problem is Deon, aka Dark Midnight, whose family runs the dark chocolate factory across town! Deon is sure Benjamin is going to sabotage his families factory and works tirelessly to try and take them down. When Deon steals a very important tool, Benjamin enlists his friends to get it back but hopefully squash the beef without adults involved! Will he be successful?

An enjoyable, entertaining, and easy read. Mr Smarty Pants is a teen boy that has a genius nature and loves to invent things, especially things that deal with his major allergy to peanut butter and his relationship to George Washington Carver.

Short and sweet graphic novel. It’s a cute story for kids and has some interesting peanut history facts. A quick easy read.

Mr. Smarty Pants is about a kid genius descended from George Washington Carver. The main character is allergic to peanuts & make lots of inventions to protect himself.

I thought the illustrations were super cute in this book. I loved all of the mad science inventions. I did feel like the plot was a little rushed, and the suspension of disbelief was a little bit too high. However, it was a fun, fast read & it was great to see a strong, black inventor represented in their own book.
