Bloodsport by Cameron Curtis Breed Thrillers Book 9 I really did enjoy this book. I love this series. I do love Breed. Action from the start. I certainly didn't like Tombaye. I didn't trust Stein. I was rooting for Breed. lliked Cecile. I really do hope there is more to come. I don't want this series to end. 4*
As usual in this series, this book has very good characters and great action scenes, but this time the action is interrupted by a couple of unnecessary chapters with history.I disagree with several of the statements (like the Wagner history and Cobal/electrification), and the reaction of the locals is exaggerated (I actually was in an African country right after the transition), but this is fiction and should be treated as such. And entertaining fiction it is.
Another fun fast paced read by the author in the Breed series. You don't need to read all the books in the series to be able to follow the story. Breed is called by a friend from his past to help out with a job, it does not go as planned. Non stop action and a fun read. Some unexpected twists and turns in the story.
As always the author does a good job of mixing action and plot. I look forward to more books in the series and reading the previous ones I have not gotten to yet.
Blood Sport is actually a very interesting story about mining for metals and the countries involved. Cameron Curtis lets Breed his ex Delta force protagonist travel to a country in Africa to check out the security there and do an evaluation, soon he is attacked by local tribesmen and he realizes that all is not well there. Then it's a race to figure out what is going on and what will happen? The book is as well written as the others in the series but I think it's one of the best because of the plotline. I can recommend Curtis work for those that like a fast paced thriller and I thank Netgalley and Inkubator books for this copy.
"Blood Sport" by Cameron Curtis is a gripping military thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat. The ninth book in the Breed series, it follows ex-Delta Force operator Breed as he navigates the volatile situation in Wambesa, Africa. Tasked with evaluating security at a French cobalt mine, Breed soon finds himself in the midst of a brutal revolution led by Marien Tombaye.
Curtis delivers a fast-paced narrative filled with detailed weaponry and intense warfare. The story is well-crafted, with a cast of compelling characters who band together to survive against overwhelming odds. This book is a must-read for fans of military thrillers and action-packed adventures.
This is the first book I’ve read by Cameron Curtis. It is the 9th book in a series of military thrillers. It is well written, and fast paced with detailed weaponry and brutal warfare violence. Not for the faint of heart but if this style of thriller appeals to you it is strongly recommended.
Thanks to NetGalley and Inkubator Books for an advanced reader copy.
