I liked this a lot, first half was excellent, the tour and all of the Vietman details were really appreciated but the second half kind of went downhill, its not romantic when what you are describing are basic therapy red flag moves.

A great read, the story of Adam and Evie who meet on a matchmaking tour in Vietnam. Adam lives and works there, and Evie is just visiting and finding out more about her heritage, so what will happen when the tour comes to an end. Makes you want to go and visit these places for yourself. I liked how it was told from both points of view.

Adam and Evie are both on a Vietnamese matchmaking tour for reasons other than to find love. But love is what they get in the end.

What a super sweet book this was! I loved the Vietnam setting and the way our two leads found their way to each other - their chemistry was scorching! I always enjoy reading about other cultures and this one vibrantly describes Vietnamese culture. I highly recommend the audiobook - it was fantastic to listen to.

This was a lighthearted and enjoyable read. The writing style was engaging, making it easy to get lost in the banter of the beautiful settings. As a travel girlie, I really enjoyed reading a story with Vietnam as a setting. I liked the charachters and the side characters and the chemistry between Adam and Evie was strong. There are plenty of sweet moments and laugh out loud scenes that make the book entertaining. I recommend this book if you’re looking for a fun, light read that make you feel like you’re on a roadtrip through Vietnam!

Unfortunately I wasn't as blown away by this book as I expected. I did still enjoy reading it, but for me it was just a bit meh. I wasn't invested as much as I like in romance novels, however I did still have a good time reading it.

He is solely on the trip to prove himself to his sister, who thinks he knows nothing about love. When they first meet, Adam thinks Evie is chaotic and unpredictable whilst she finds him grumpy and uptight. As they tour through Vietnam, they find themselves falling in love.
Having been fascinated by Vietnam having travelled through the country, this book immersed me in the country as well as giving me a greater understanding of the heritage and culture of its people. This was a sweet romance between two people, who are opposites in many ways. It was interesting to see who they were so determined to cling to their initial bias before taking a leap based on their feelings.

However I am afraid this book was not for me as the travel aspect of this made it too quick for me?
I enjoyed the whole enemies to lovers part and the grumpy x sunshine trope but i prefer my books with a quiet and peaceful setting, lol
if you like travel stories go for it!!

Unfortunately this book was really not for me. I really liked the sound of it initially and was looking forward to learning more about the culture, but the insta-love and focus on how attractive they are to each other even though they supposedly dislike each other so much is just not my cup of tea and ruined it for me.

Firstly, I would absolutely love to see this turned into a film or series!

As a condition of her inheritance, poet Evie is sent on a matchmaking tour of Vietnam. With a recent breakup, a failing career, and a need to reconnect with her family's heritage, Evie heads off for what she hopes won't be an "Eat, Pray, Love" adventure. Adam is another reluctant participant on the Love Yeu tour, only he's been roped in by his sister and boss following a disastrous proposal. Neither is looking for love, neither even wants to be there, and neither is what the other is looking for. But there is magic in discovering yourself and what you need.

This was a great read and had me itching to book myself a ticket, but I did struggle with the 3rd person, present tense format it was written in. This is purely a personal preference, but it took me a while to immerse myself as a result.

However, it was beautifully written, with the perfect ratio of all our favourite romance essentials and is well worth a read. Take yourself off on a Vietnamese adventure, where love is the goal, and getting there is the adventure.

A funny, warm and delightful romance set in Vietnam on a matchmaking tour that turns out to be much more. A story that had me giggling, crying and in complete rage with its characters. This story will have a special place in my heart and we should all take Auntie Hao's advice at heart. Love bravely. Always.

What a debut! Loved everything about this gorgeous story, especially the setting of Vietnam. The author did an amazing job of setting the scene with the descriptions of food and the areas and the people. The romance itself was perfection. They were both a little broken, and watching their love develop was sweet and hopeful. Also I love this cover! It’s so bright and cheerful and evocative of the story inside. Thanks so much Netgalley and the publisher, I really loved this one and will be buying a physical copy for my shelf for sure.

Attended by celebrities, and with accommodation and food in five-star venues, this really is a tour like no other. With no job and severe writer's block, Evie gets on a plane hoping the tour will spark a connection to the country her father was born in and unblock her ability to write poetry, but she has absolutely no plans to fall in love.

Adam and Evie's Matchmaking Tour was brought to life by its vibrant locations and delicious food. It also has a brilliant cast of characters that it was easy to root for.

This book is more than just a love story between the two title characters, it's a love letter to the beautiful country of Vietnam and it drew me in from the very first page. We meet Evie, a poet grappling with personal loss and professional hurdles and Adam, a brooding workaholic, as they embark on a journey that will see them navigate their tense but undeniable chemistry.
This is a slow burn romance, I usually prefer more fast paced novels, however the vibrant backdrop of Vietnam kept me glued to the book nonetheless.

This is a good read if you want to escape your current location and travel inside a book. I've never been to Vietnam before, and I enjoyed the author's way of making the reader feel as if they too were eating the local cuisine and taking a holiday in such a gorgeous place. The atmosphere of the setting was done very well and was the perfect backdrop.

However, I admit to not fully getting invested in either main character, and their chemistry was rather weak. At points, it felt like something more substantial would happen to Evie or Adam on this journey, but it remained on the surface level for too long, and when the author did dive deeper into the romance, it lacked connection.

The side characters on Adam's side of things were really toxic and made for an uncomfortable reading experience. I understand some actions come from cultural practices and familial expectations. However, it still felt off-putting at times to read it, especially due to timing when things between Evie and Adam were evolving.

I did love the female friend Evie made on the trip, her addition to this book was amazing, and I'd love to read from her perspective in another book. I appreciated her women empowering women approach, and the connection Evie made with her was far superior to the one with Adam.

Overall, I enjoyed the vibes, the world setting, and some of the more light-hearted, romantic elements. This book may not fit me as a reader as well as I hoped, but I can see many enjoying this tale, and finding some relevance and comfort in Adam and Evie's journey.

I have to admit at the start I was very confused by the two different personalities of Evie, however, the longer I kept reading, the more I understood why and how and everything made sense.
This book is a wonderful joy to read, a great way to feed ones wanderlust because the characters go on an incredible journey through Vietnam and I enjoyed reading about the places, sights and history.

What a fun twist on a romcom!
This is my first book by Nora Nguyen -and her debut fiction book I think- and I really loved the ease of her writing. The premise of the book is simple but fun and not lacking emotion.
I loved the slow burn between Adam and Evie. The hesitation they had for each other which turned into this undeniable connection and attraction for one another, but also a great deal of respect and adoration.
Nora uses imagery in such a way that really enhances the setting of the book and encapsulates the Vietnamese culture. Her writing creating a clear picture of the sights the characters are experiencing.
There’s banter, spice and a gentle romance. This is one for slow burn fans who love yearning and layered stories.

This book is a refreshing, easy going standout in what can be quite a overcrowded genre. Evie is a fledgling college professor and poet who is struggling to quite get off the ground after a long break after her first successful collection of poetry. To add to this, she is fired by her own boyfriend and her favourite aunt passes.

In exchange for inheriting her aunt's stunning San Francisco home, Evie must go on a matchmaking tour. Not necessarily to find a man, but to take the trip of a lifetime she had always planned to with her aunt to Vietnam. There she meets Adam, the Chief Finance Officer of the tour company and logical numbers man.

This was a really fun time. It definitely left me wanting to travel to Vietnam myself, and I really wanted Adam and Evie to succeed.

There were perhaps slightly too many obstacles to be able to reasonably overcome for the length of the book, but it was nonetheless a joy to read and definitely one I would recommend to others.

Evie’s aunt dies leaving her San Francisco house, the only trouble is the clause is she must attend a Matchmaking Tour in Vietnam in the next 3 months. When Evie personal life goes into a spin she has nothing to loose, at least it’s a chance to visit her home country.
Adam’s sister owns the Matchmaking business, he’s the CMO but his sister thinks sending him on the first tour will help him get a better understanding of the business, it’s the last thing Adam wants since his last relationship failed.
Once on tour Evie and Adam keep finding themselves drawn into situations together but I found myself more drawn to the descriptions of Vietnam which so very good rather than any blossoming relationship between them, I didn’t connect or feel the chemistry between them.
