I read The Curse of Saints and thought is it was decent but when I started The Curse of Sins I realized that I wasn't feeling emotionally engaged with the characters or the story. I thought the narrator was good and I don't think the writing or story is bad, it's just not a book I was feeling connected to so I decided not to continue reading it.

I was curious to see if book 2 would be an improvement on book 1 and in some ways it is but in others, it is not. I did feel like the characters didn't quite feel so YA in this book (this series is not supposed to be YA but I felt like it came off that way in book 1). Perhaps this is in part due to some good chemistry and more spice between Will and Aya. That being said, I found the beginning of this book to be veeeeery slow. The ending was good though and enough to still have me curious about book 3.
I listened to the audiobook and I do feel like this helped me get through the slower, first half of the book. I enjoyed the narration.
Thank you to Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for the ALC. All opinions are my own.

3.5 star
The Curse of Saints ended on a huge cliffhanger which left begging for The Curse of sins, and WOW, did it deliver!
With a growing complex web of political intrigue, hidden magic, and my favourite, forbidden romance!
The multiple perspectives provide a deep dive into the evolving stakes of the realm, and Aya's journey is both heart-wrenching and empowering as she grapples with betrayal and her own identity/powers. The chemistry between Aya and Will is electric, their love both tender and tragic. The miscommunication trope did pop its head up which is the bane of my existence but I promise its worth pushing on!
There is no chance you will be able to guess the twist at the end! I went ahead and purchase the special edition versions of both book 1 & 2 from FairyLoot and I can't wait for book 3!
Thank you Netgalley for the Audiobook in exchange for my honest review

Big thanks to Netgalley and Kate Dramis for the audioARC in exchange for a review.
Ugh this is hard to review. I didn't read the first one, which seems to be a recurring issue with me. I need to make sure I'm selecting the first in a series, or read the first.. first!
I did listen to the whole thing but I have no idea what happened. There was a few spicy scenes but I felt no connection to either character. It was hard to follow along, there were names I couldn't follow, names for groups of people that just held no meaning and overall so much happening.
I'm giving it 2 stars but I want to say my rating might be better, had I read the first one.

This is the second instalment in The Curse of Saints series and I really enjoyed it!
From the beginning, we are transported into a magical fantasy and I loved getting to know the characters better and seeing the plot move forward. I can't wait for book 3 (especially after that ending!!).
Thank you to the publisher for the ALC in exchange for a review.

The Curse of Sins by Kate Dramis is all I want in a book. I ADORED this story line. It kept me hooked the entire time. Plus, the audiobook is amazing! I loved the narrator. This was a wonderfully done book. Thank you for the opportunity.

I thought this was very good and I will have to add this to the shop shelves. Thank you for the chance for us to review.

The Curse of Sins is a stunning leap forward from its predecessor, The Curse of Saints. This sequel is not just a continuation; it’s an immersive experience filled with rich political intrigue and intense emotional stakes that kept me glued to the page.
The narrative expands with new POVs, weaving a tapestry of perspectives that adds layers to the story. I was swept up in a whirlwind of laughter, heartache, and surprise, especially as the stakes escalated. The writing is a true masterpiece—every sentence feels purposeful, crafting a tale that is both compelling and beautifully structured.
Aya and Will are brilliantly developed, their chemistry crackling with tension and depth. Aya’s journey through betrayal and her struggle for agency is captivating, while Will’s determination to confront his past adds a poignant dimension to their relationship. The supporting characters, especially Liam and Aidon, add further richness, though Tova tested my patience at times. Gianna, on the other hand, stands out as a formidable villain.
And those last 150 pages? A breathtaking culmination of twists that left me craving more. This book not only fulfills the promise of the first but surpasses it in every way. If you haven’t yet delved into this series, you’re missing a truly rewarding fantasy adventure. My heart is racing, and I’m left eagerly anticipating what comes next!

Kate Dramis knows how to hook a reader in--especially with the second book in this series. The Curse of Sins is an excellent follow up novel and I am glad I got a chance to review it i enjoyed the audiobook and narration as well.

The pacing was all over the place, but otherwise, this was really quite good. Once I hit the second half of the book I absolutely devoured it. I am getting a bit tired of cliffhanger endings, however, I think this really continued the story nicely and I am so eager for the next book.

I really love this series. Loved now that everything is set up with the first books I felt like we got more into the nitty grotty with this one. Its a fun fantasy world and I can’t wait to see where it goes

In this gripping fantasy, Aya's journey as the Second Saint is fraught with uncertainty, betrayal, and the looming threat of dark magic. As she grapples with her fated role to serve Queen Gianna and protect her realm, the lines between ally and enemy blur, leaving Aya questioning not just her own power, but the motives of those around her. The dynamic between Aya and Will, once sworn enemies, adds a compelling layer of tension as they unite to uncover the truth behind the war and the sinister magic threatening their world. With twists at every turn, this tale of duty, trust, and deception keeps readers on edge, eager to discover who will stand by Aya—and who will betray her.

STOP!!! This book gave me all the feels I did not know I needed to feel!! I feel in this one we got to know the characters on a different level which I was glad for especially with the slow to fast pace throughout the book. I however need book 3 like yesterday because come on that cliffhanger?!?! How could Kate do that to us!? Lets just say I will be rereading book 1 and 2 till I get book 3 and I will not be okay till then.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me access to this audiobook.
I really enjoyed The Curse of Saints and I had high hopes for the sequel and it didn’t disappoint.
I love that Aya and Will’s relationship remained prominent. They may have their issues and ups and downs but there’s no doubt they are at the heart of this story. Their scenes are always my favorite parts.
I also do appreciate Aya as a FMC and wow was she going through it in this book. Honestly this book kept me on my toes there was romantic drama, battles, political machinations, and plot twists. I had a great time!
Also I just have to say again that I really love that they have bonded wolves and I want to see even more of them!
The last quarter of this book was absolutely insane, so many things happening and plot twists. I need the next book ASAP!

I think I need to circle back to the print version because I cannot connect to this audiobook. I think the story is good and the narrator seems fine..I really can't pinpoint why I'm struggling but I think I'll call it quits.

This was a great continuation of the series. I fell in love with this series and was so happy to get to read this book!

A fantastic sequel to A Curse of Saints, I loved how this second book was more character-focused and we learn more about their roles in this world and also Aya’s powers. Danger still abounds, and this time the danger is closer to home. This book has a lot more intrigue and deception compared to book 1, and that was my absolute favorite part.
The ending is a brutal one and gives us yet another cliffhanger. I can’t wait for the next one to see what the future holds for these characters. 5 stars.

Kate Dramis does it again with "The Curse of Sins," and Devon Sorvari's narration brings every twist and turn to life! Picking up right where the first book left off, this sequel dives deeper into Aya's journey as she grapples with her newfound power and destiny. The political intrigue, secrets, and betrayals keep you on the edge of your seat, while the spicy scenes add an extra kick.
I loved getting to know the characters on a deeper level, especially Will, our emotionally available king! The complex dynamics and relationships, along with the well-crafted villain queen, make this a captivating listen. The cliffhanger ending left me desperate for the next installment. Overall, it's a thrilling, steamy, and unforgettable adventure!
