Absolutely loved this fun filled audiobook.
The Narrators did an amazing job by bringing the characters to life, while drawing me into Olivia and Jude’s the leading characters life!
While I’ve enjoyed the pairing of the two narrators I undoubtedly enjoyed the male narrator far more,
He definitely did a great job voicing as both male and female .. but a job well deserved to both Narrators.
Ok let’s get to the Story!
Olivia the FMC is a NYC influencer who thought she could use Jasper's (a famous actors) DMs as her personal digital journal,
thinking he would never ever lay eyes on it.
So imagine when Jasper's brother Jude the MMC stumbles on the account and starts sliding into her DMs, respond as if he were Jasper!
Yeah, things just kinda escalated from there between them, but unbeknownst to Olivia about Jaspers true identity.
Olivia begins to fall into a texting pattern with Jude AKA Jasper. But secret has a way of revealing itself at the most unexpected moment. And Jude is about to get that big unexpected moment for sure !
The banter, witty comments and the texting back and forth was super funny and adorable, I also loved how close Jude was with his siblings and the shenanigans that ensued between them, as well as Olivia's relationship with her roommate and their nosy neighbor.
Gotta say that Olive influencer angle felt realistic that complimented the celebrity status of Jude, it was rather a nice pairing of the two.
My only drawback is that I however did not love the third act break up type situation. It seemed kind of immature and unrealistic on Olivia's part, granted I could understand her perspective about protecting her accomplishments, but nope, from my perspective it’s still a crappy move on her part .
But all on all, the story does guarantee a HEA which is super sweet .
I definitely will continue to read all of This Author’s books she is the queen of texts with hilarious banter in my opinion, this book was refreshingly hilarious which is also a signature traits of the Author.
Heavy on the banter and hilarious moments with just the right amount of spice!
Again the narrators new to me did an amazing job, being a NYC girl I literally could smell the coffee and smell the NYC air. Well done Laurie West and Alistair Haynesbridge

I really enjoyed this steamy, mistaken identity, enemies to lovers, he falls, first, secret relationship, romantic comedy. The DM Diaries had amazing characters, a captivating storyline, and all the banter and chemistry I wanted from these characters.
I loved every minute of this audiobook and the narrators were amazing. Laurie West & Alastair Haynesbridge were amazing at bringing these characters to life and expressing the characters emotions.
Rating: 5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Firstly I am a huge fan of books written about bad@ss MCs who are plus sized!! It's always done with such graitas and I love that!
I love Olive! Shes quirky and fun! She also uses a famous persons DMs as a personal diary, knowing they will never read them but she feels like she is talking to someone rather than writing in a diary. It's a win win until Jude the little brother of mega Star Jasper, takes on the social media for his brother after his own disasterous interview trying to get back into showbiz. He cannot help but read Olive messages and then in a fit of insanity... Messages her back as his brother.
It's hilarious! They end up meeting in person too without knowing it and it just makes for some excellent banter. I found the whole book really charming and very cute. The narration was excellent and really made the book one of the best of the month for me.
4.5 stars. Well written and my kind of rom-com
3.5 stars
The DM Diaries is cute and loads of fun- a light, heartfelt, and fast paced rom com from the always funny Teagan Hunter.
The concept of this one sounded like a great time- Hollywood star meets social media influencer in a case of mistaken identity....thanks to a bit of social media serendipity between actor Jude Rafferty and IG model Olive. What unfolds is a light and cozy romance that had me smiling.
I loved the concept of the "DM Diaries" - what an intriguing and fun way to start a connection. And pairing that with the fact that these two have already met and had their bickering meet cute already. I really liked Olive so much- I just love fierce and confident plus size heroines, and the fact that her work is so focused on inclusivity. She's strong, determined, and a hard worker- and she's so fascinating to read. And Jude is so antithetical to the holiday heartthrob archetype- he's not good at peopling (nor does he like it). I liked how easily he and Olive connect, how a friendship is formed.
I don't always love the Hollywood lifestyle drama as an obstacle, but it's also logical given both Jude's challenges and that they are both aspiring celebrities. The romance and chemistry could have been a bit stronger, and I'm also used to a bit more spice form TH. This didn't quite feel like her normal style, but I enjoyed it none the less.
🎬 Hollywood star x influencer model
⭐️mistaken identity
🎬 romantic comedy
⭐️curvy heroine
🎬 slow burn
⭐️lower than normal (from TH at least) spice
This was so cute and fun! A great new book from Teagan! I love her sports romance but this was different and fun and had laughable moments. The narrator’s were terrific and perfect voices to bring the characters to life.
I listened to this book. The narrator is wonderful. I did not know the story before I started listening and truly felt like I was listening to the characters tell their story personally. I was pulled in with her voice and kept in because of the story.
I really enjoyed that Olive is a plus-size model, she is not the normal rom-com “perfect” girl. She has misgivings about her size, there were some uncomfortable moments between her and Jasper. I felt the reality in their story. Jasper is a great character. He never lets life get in the way of his relationship with Olive, she is always his priority.
The DM Diaries is a great book to listen to or to read. I will be looking for more from Teagan Hunter.
Olive and Jude's story is fun, entertaining, emotional, and heartwarming, filled with drama, and secrets. Jude is sweet, and handsome. Olive is beautiful, smart, sassy, and strong. They are perfect together. The storyline is original, and interesting. I liked the humor, and the banter. The cast of supporting characters is impressive. The family bonds, and the friendship are amazing in this story. Laurie West and Alastair Haynesbridge did an excellent job bringing these characters to life. I enjoyed it. This is a great romcom, and I highly recommend it.
What could go wrong if you slide into a famous persons DM and share all your secrets. He’s to famous he will never see them. But his brother does.
This was such a cute story of Jude and Olive. One is a famous actor, one a social media influencer.
The banter between all the characters in this book had me rolling. Especially between Jude and Olive.
Such a fun, sweet story.
The audiobook was narrated by Laurie West and Alastair Haynesbridge. This was the first time I had the pleasure of listening to these two actors, and what a surprise. They were absolutely brilliant together. Alastair was the perfect Jude. And Laurie channeled everything Olive O’Brien.
I really enjoyed this book (listened to it on audio)! I'm a huge fan of Teagan Hunter and haven't come across a book of hers that I didn't love, The DM Diaries is no exception to this! I was pleasantly surprised by the plot; I was sure I knew where the storyline would take me and it went in a different direction than I'd thought which made me love it more! Jude and Olive have great chemistry and I just adored their story! Great character development, especially for Jude.
I love a good duet audiobook and The DM Diaries was another fabulous example
Both the narrators were pleasant to listen to and fit the characters well
I did mixed media for my read (audio and ebook) with the majority done via audio since I was enjoying it so much
Listening to it felt like listening to a rom com movie!
I will share a review on the book via the ebook, which is why I have focused on the audio rather than the story here
Rating: 3.75/5
Thank you to Brilliance Audio and Netgalley for this advanced copy in exchange for my honest opinion.
If she writes it, I will indeed read it! and overall, I really liked this one! The narrators did a great job bringing this story to life and I was engrossed in the story the whole time.
What I did enjoy: family/sibling relationships, nyc settling and the coffee truck. Olivia's journey as a fashion influencer/model. great banter and text chains. amazing plus size rep. I was routing for this couple to work!
Here's what I didn't love: the whole third act break up x2...and generally the whole DM situation9/who am I really talking to thing. I am generally not into the whole catfishing thing and it gave those vibes for a bit. The pacing was a tad off for my liking.
Do I think this was her best book/the new one I am raving about? No, but I adore Teagan and I can't wait to see what she gives us next!
This is my first book by Teagan and I really enjoyed this story.
Olive and Jude are a delight. I adore their text conversations, their unexpected friendship and how they bring out the best in one another.
Hidden identity is one of my favorite trips and Teagan writes it so wonderfully. These characters are amazing, strong, and a bit vulnerable.
The banter, dialogue and over all conversations between these two…along with their amazing support system is fantastic. So many wonderful laughs, sweet moments and love.
Laurie West and Alastair Havensbridge deliver an amazing performance. They give the characters perfect emotion, personality and voice. They bring the characters to life with their fantastic narration!
The DM Diaries is a romantic comedy. Jude and Olive’s story was a light, entertaining read. I enjoyed their chemistry and witty banter. The drama and laughs drew me in until the very end.
Laurie West & Alastair Haynesbridge did a really great job narrating this book.
DM Diaries by Teagan Hunter was my first book by this author, and unfortunately, it left much to be desired. Despite my initial enthusiasm, I lost interest halfway through and ultimately skipped ahead to the ending, hoping for a redeeming conclusion.
The story's pacing was incredibly slow, which might have been bearable if the main characters had offered any substantial build-up to their relationship. However, the supposed slow burn fizzled out, leaving nothing for the reader to hold on to. The characters were flat, and their interactions, primarily through calls and texts due to their busy schedules, lacked depth and excitement. There was more telling than showing in this story, which might work for some readers, but it certainly didn't for me.
Additionally, the two third-act breakups were too much. I usually appreciate a bit of drama, but this felt excessive and unnecessary. The characters' tendency to run away from their problems instead of communicating was frustrating, especially considering they were in their mid-twenties. A simple conversation could have saved them two weeks of misery, making their lack of communication all the more exasperating.
The story's pacing dragged on, making the slow burn feel more like a slow crawl. The ending was particularly unsatisfying; after everything, they just got back together without any significant resolution. It felt rushed and incomplete, leaving me wondering, "What was that?"
On a positive note, the audiobook, performed by Laurie West and Alastair Haynesbridge, was well done. The quality was good overall, though there were some noticeable volume differences where audio might have been spliced in. Despite this, the narration was engaging enough that I found myself listening at 2x speed to get through the slow parts of the story.
In summary, *DM Diaries* was a lackluster read for me. The characters and their relationship lacked the necessary depth and development to make the slow burn worthwhile, and the pacing was too slow. While the audiobook was well-narrated, it wasn't enough to save the story for me. This book may appeal to readers who enjoy a more vibe-centric narrative, but it fell short for those looking for substance and a satisfying conclusion.
5 Stars
Olive is a plus size model who does her best to stay true to herself and I absolutely loved her. Just like every other red blooded female in the world, she finds herself enthralled with Hollywood’s hottest movie star, Jasper Rafferty. He’s tall, sexy and when she finds herself sliding into his DM’s to leave a message, it’s kind of freeing. Knowing that he will never ever read these messages, she decides to take her therapist’s advice and start a diary of sorts using Jasper’s inbox lol.
Jude Rafferty is finally getting his big break back into Hollywood, or so he thought. After a disaster of a live morning show (thank you Benadryl), he’s desperately trying to get back into the good graces of everyone. As a sort of punishment from his publicist, he’s tasked with posting to his brother’s Instagram account. What he didn’t expect was to find a diary of sorts from a gorgeous model. Not able to help himself, he messages her back.
Listening to audiobook, the banter between Olive and Jude exploded off the pages lol. I loved their banter at the coffee truck before they even knew who each other was, but once they figured it out, their banter really took off. Jude had me swooning for sure. He’s the sweetest guy ever and even though he loves acting, he wants a normal life. But that’s kind of hard to do when you’re Hollywood royalty. He doesn’t want to be “Jude Rafferty”, he just wants to be “Jude”, and he feels that way with Olive.
I loved everything about this one. Olive and Jude are both great. I loved watching their relationship unfold and grow. I loved all the side characters (except for one, IYKYK), and I want a bestest friend like Annie lol. That girl is not afraid to rock some orange for her bestie ;) I really hope Jasper gets a book next. There’s definitely something brewing with a certain publicist lol. The narrators did a great job bringing this book to life. Highly recommend it.

This is a cute, funny, at times laugh out loud rom com book. I listened to this as an audio book and Jude and Olive had the best chemistry and were a great couple listen to.
Olive is a plus sized model and influncer who was using a famous actors DMs to write about her days as you would a diary, knowing he would prob never read them. Till his brother temporarily takes over his account and finds them. Jude. who is also an actor but not as famous as his older brother, gets himself into some publicity trouble, was trying to improve his image so he was uploading photos of himself with his brother on his brothers account ...when he finds Olives diary and starts to read it and feels compelled to respond to her last entry.
I loved the narrators for this book. Laurie West and Alastair Haynesbridge both did an amazing job bringing these characters to life.
I was given and ALC to listen to and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I listened to the audiobook version of this book and it was so freaking good. This is the first book I read by this author and I couldn't be happier. It was so good I listened to it in one day... all 11 hours and 41 minutes of it (don't judge lol). I loved the relationship development between Olive and Jude. Their romance is so delicious! So much funny banter between them, so many emotions as their story progresses made made me go through a rollercoaster of feelings, from finding myself laughing out loud and having people stare at me like I was crazy, to getting teary eyed. The narration done by Laurie West and Alastair Haynesbridge was superb. Laurie has such a great voice and whenever she narrated it felt like it was my bff speaking to me. Alastair has such a sexy voice! I loved both these narrators, who I hadn't yet heard before. All I can say is great plot, great, romance, great narration, and definitely great spice! A definite must read if you enjoy the sweeter, spicy romance lane.

I totally enjoyed this! It was quite interesting how these two, Olive & Jude, first “met”, through her using DM as her diary, never expecting a response. But when there is one, it changes things for both of them. I loved their banter, their electricity, and even their not so great moments. Just very much enjoyed this! And especially listening to Alastair Haynesbridge & Laurie West tell me the story ❤️
This celebrity romantic comedy was so cute. It had me smiling throughout! Jude is trying to salvage his acting character after an interview gone wrong and get back into the Hollywood scene just like his family. He manages his brother's social media account in the meantime where he ends up meeting Olive, a plus size model who uses those DM's as a way to vent. Never thinking it would lead her into meeting someone. That meet cute was definitely unexpected too lol
The drama between these two definitely kept me going. Jude being such a cinnamon roll character just made that aspect even better! I love the banter throughout and the DM's definitely kept me locked in.
The narrators depicted the personalities just as I'd imagine. The male who narrated Jude seriously was amazing and did both parts so, so well. Such a fun mostly light-hearted story!
This was such a fun audiobook! Olive is a plus sized model and Jude is a movie star from a famous Hollywood family. Olive has been sending messages to Jude’s brother on IG as a form of journaling, knowing he will never see them. Jude ends up seeing them and decides to message her back.
This book had me laughing and smiling! Olive and Jude had great banter. I love how he called her sunshine! I loved all the side characters, they made the story that much better! The audiobook was great! Laurie and Alastair brought the story to life and it was entertaining! The only thing I wasn’t a fan of was the third act break up. I don’t want to spoil anything so I definitely recommend this audiobook!
