The DM Diaries is a movie star/plus sized influencer, romantic comedy. It's a mismash of drama, humor, emotions and found family. It's a quick paced read that kept me hooked from the first page. I loved the witty banter between these characters. Jude and Olive were perfect together. It's a must read that will make you laugh and swoon. I can't wait for more from Teagan.
Laurie West and Alastair Haynesbridge did a great job bringing these characters to life.
Audiobook review: Narrated by Laurie West and Alastair Haynesbridge
I really enjoyed this book. Olive and Jude are such lovable characters. I really enjoyed the confidence Olive exuded and the way her size was written into the story. It was obvious she was a plus size FMC, but it was done in a way that it's not "in your face" and it's also not brushed under the rug. Jude is also a great character and despite the one instance of rudeness (which seemed integral to them meeting) he is great book boyfriend material.
The audio was so good. I can't say I've heard Laurie West before but she did an amazing job bringing Olive, and all her sassiness, to life. Alastair Haynesbridge is one of the narrators I will also click on when audiobook shopping. This was a great, fun story that was all the more entertaining to listen to.
This was an absolutely adorable story! I loved the plot of the book and the characters were funny and adorable. I will say i usually have more knee slapping humor moments with Teagan’s books and this one was a little more on the sweet side. But I loved how I could relate to the FMC being a plus size girlie

It’s no secret that I love Teagan’s writing! I fell in love with her Hockey romances and have spouted off about my love for those hilarious text exchanges many times! They’re so good!
When she teased about this book, i was first in line! I needed it in my hands! She has a way of writing banter through text that I just knew would translate so well into a story like this one! I was right! I’m just over halfway through this story and I am having a hard time putting it down!
Olive is just so relatable and funny but I think Jude is the one who stole my heart! I love how sweet this man is! He and Olive are just so funny together, I cackled many times reading! 🤭That is saying something because you all know how picky I am about romcoms and this book has RomCom vibes!
I would definitely recommend this book to my contemporary romance readers! Thank you Valentine PR and Montlake for this ARC!
DNF: As much as I typically like Hunter's light and sexy romances, there was something off about this one from the start (beyond that awful cover). I love the idea of an original meet cute and have fond memories of Hunter's first texting series, but I'll admit that using DMs as a diary is pretty weird. Mostly though, I wasn't that sold on either character individually and they spent so little time on the page together that I got bored before things really got going. I listened to the audio, and I don't think that helped - Laurie West and Alastair Haynesbridge are both narrators I recognize by name but can't ever remember listening to. Neither of their voices wowed me, though they weren't bad either. With a stronger storyline, I probably wouldn't have minded the narration. Ultimately, this was simply a miss for me, but I continue to be a fan of Hunter's work.
The DM Diaries, an Audiobook by Teagan Hunter is the delightfully delicious story of Jude and Olive. They meet on DM…a case of mistaken identity. Things only get more mixed up and hilariously romantic as the story progresses.
I’ve read other stories set up using DM and they were horrible. But, Teagan Hunter knows how to do it right!!! This story sucked me in immediately and kept hold of me throughout!!! Jude is slightly hidden and trying to keep himself under wraps. Olive is trying to get out more and spread her wings a bit more.
Can they overcome all of the obstacles, secrets, and outside influences to become something more together? Absolutely enchanting story!!!
This Audiobook was beautifully narrated by Laurie West and Alastair Haynesbridge…who bring the perfect blend of humor and angst between these two!!! I smiled like a fool while I listened to this phenomenal Audiobook…people would stare, wondering what was so joyous that I would smile like that! LOVED IT!!!!
I really enjoyed the plot but something about the writing bothered me a bit but I can't but a finger on it. Maybe just a lack of refinement? I'm not sure. It could also be that I'm home with 3 c-19 pos kids trying not to lose my mind. For that reason I'm gunna round up but I probably won't post on the gram about this one.
One thing that will always win me over and make me fall in love is some cute and fun banter! Not only did this have the banter, it had a plus size model/influencer, rom com cuteness and side characters I was loving!
There were multiple times I was slightly dying of secondhand embarrassment for more than one of the characters but was loving the realness. I loved how confident Olive was and the care and love she had. Jude was such a great male lead and I was living for the way he interacted with Olive, even before he knew it was her.
This would make such a fun and cute movie. I really enjoyed listening to it as an audiobook and think the narrators did a wonderful job! My only complaint is I dislike listening to text/dm exchanges via audiobook, but that’s just a personal preference.
If you are wanting a cute, fun romcom to brighten up your day or to accompany you on the beach this summer, you will want to pick this one up! You will not regret it because the banter is everything and where I think Hunter truly shines!

This book was so fun! It is definitely one to make you smile. Jude is a super sweet MMC and definitely a cinnamon roll. Their banter, the coffee shop meets, the messaging. The relationship had so many hoops and hills to climb but they work through it. We get to see how being famous can also lead to lots of drama and issues caused by that fame.
The audio was fantastic. The narrators did a wonderful job of portraying the characters.
Thank you @netgalley and Mondale Publishing for this ALC/ARC.
I really enjoyed Olive and Jude's story. I loved that Olive is a plus sized model making it in a hard industry. I loved that Jude connected with her instantly through DMs before he even knew who she was. These two gave me all of the feels.
Being a plus sized girl, I love these stories where the bigger girl gets the hot guy. I think there is so much to be said about love not knowing a face, but connecting with the soul and being of another person. Olive and Jude's story was all about connecting through witty banter and not so much about falling for the physical appearance. I knew I was going to be crushed for Olive, but I knew Jude would ease the heartbreak.
I listened to the audio and it was great! This story is a little different that other Teagan Hunter stories I've listened to and I really enjoyed it.
I loved Olive and Jude’s romance! The DM Diaries was a sweet rom com. Their meet cute is different as they met through DM’s on Instagram while she thought he was his brother. The banter between these two was top notch and the chemistry heated up when these two met in person. Olive and Jude’s story was heartwarming and so much fun but will also hit you in the feels.
Laurie West and Alastair Haynesbridge narrate this book in dual narration. They were both new to me narrators and I enjoyed their performances. Laurie was able to capture Olive’s sweet personality while Alastair was able to capture Jude’s charisma. They both did great at portraying the chemistry and banter between the characters.
I highly recommend this book. Thank you to Teagan, Valentine PR, NetGalley for an early listen!

I was so excited to read this one, I love books where their relationships start online!! This one did not disappoint!
I adore Olive and Jude!
Olive is great!! I love how she isn't afraid to stand by what she believes! Also the sass in the coffee queue!! I love it!
Jude is adorable! Granted, he goes about things the wrong way sometimes but his heart is in the right place and I just want to hug him 😍
This is a great book, easy to read and full of banter!!
Olivia is a NYC influencer who uses Jasper’s (a famous actors) DMs as her digital journey thinking he will never see him. So when Jasper’s brother Jude stumbles on the account and starts to respond as if he were Jasper, it is only a matter of time before Olivia realizes who she is talking to.
Teagan always has a knack for banter and of course, this was done so well. I loved how close Jude was with his siblings as well as Olivia’s relationship with her roommate. The influencer angle felt realistic and complimented the celebrity component, as both MCs were used to being in the spotlight. What I did not love about this one was the third act break up situation. It seemed kind of immature from Olivia’s part just because she did not give Jude a chance to talk it out. I also thought the couple did not have date for a long time before this happened!

Olive is a plus size model and influencer who has been messaging Jasper, the world’s hottest movie star, for over a year and using his DMs as her own personal diary. She thinks since he’s a celeb he’ll never ever read them, so what’s the harm in unloading all her thoughts in his DMs? Well things get complicated when his brother Jude sees the messages! After an interview gone wrong, Jude, Jasper’s brother, ends up with the job of managing his brother’s social media accounts to reboot his own image. He sees all of Olive’s DMs over the past year and is super intrigued with her and decides to respond back…from Jasper’s account.
This one was cute and fun at first! It did lose my interest in the middle and celeb stories don’t always hit for me. The hidden identity bit lasted longer than I thought it would. This was fine, I’ve just read others from this author I enjoy more! Audio was easy to listen to! I received an audio ALC, all thoughts in this review are my own.
This one was really cute, with many laugh out loud moments that will stick in your memory for a while. There are also several moments that you'll find yourself cringing from second-hand embarrassment, but it all ends up good on the end! These two characters were so cute together, and watching them get closer over time was really sweet. They, of course, have their issues, but once those are all squared away and that HEA hits, you'll find yourself grinning.
I listened to this one on audiobook, and both narrators did an amazing job. Laurie West did great making sure we really felt Olive's quirky, sassy personality. Alastair Haynesbridge did a great job expressing the almost self depreciating tone of Jasper, and as his character grew, Alastair's voice grew with him. Definitely recommend giving this one a listen!
I love a book written in epistolary style and this one caught my eye. Teagan Hunter is a new author to me but she did not disappoint.
Here we meet Olive O’Brien a plus size model whose mission it is to work with companies that are environment conscious and working toward sustainability.
In a misguided moment, Olive starts writing a diary - but not in the traditional sense. She has slid into the DMs of Jasper Rafferty, a legacy A list actor. Since he doesn’t respond, she just keeps writing very personal things in his inbox but not actually expecting a response and treating it like a diary.
Much to her surprised, one day about a year into this writing journey, she gets a response! And so begins a DM exchange for the ages. But the problem is that she’s not speaking to Jasper - she’s speaking to his younger brother, Jude. When feelings start getting involved Jude has a problem - how does he tell Olive who is really behind all the messages?
I loved Jude and Olive’s characters! The supporting cast - Annie, Jasper and Kate - were also wonderful! This is a great story that kept me in my car at times so that I could just keep listening! Olive and Jude’s story is super sweet - but with the media, publicists, and Hollywood rumors in their way - will they get a happy ending?
The DM Diaries

Narrated by: Laurie West, Alastair Haynesbridge
Is anyplace safe? Olive thought keeping a digital journal in the dm's of a famous actor would never be discovered. After all, who would ever search through the thousands of Jasper Rafferty's fan girl messages? His brother, that's who! When Jude found Olive's messages, he was intrigued enough to answer one! Now Olive thinks Jasper is interested! What happens when she finds out? Well this is just the tip of the iceberg we shall say. Jude is famous in his own right, and right now has found himself in a bit of public humiliation. Rumors are going around and finding solace in talking to Olive is just what he needs. Now that they have met, and gotten over the deception, you would think happiness is going to blaze the trails! But life is never easy. Can Olive live with a famous man? Will Jude be able to slide into the background out of the public eye like he wants? Will they ever be able to find happiness? This is a truly relevant story, filled with humor and issues that plague us all. I love Teagan Hunter, taking on the curvy woman, confident and ambitious! I love the way she portrays Jude, so different from the stereotype and I love the focus on social media and exactly how it can effect life in all ways. This is a good time listen, and I truly enjoyed it.
Narrated by Laurie West and Alastair Haynesbridge, I was treated to this fabulous listen with amazing voices. West is the sassy, vulnerable, beautiful Olive. Sunshine is what she brings out, and she creates a real woman, easy to relate to. Haynesbridge is Jude, so smooth and loving, it's hard not to love him. Together, these two added in quirky, meddling, secondary characters and created this fun world to escape in.
𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐌 𝐃𝐢𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 by Teagan Hunter is a fun, spicy rom-com featuring a celebrity with a career in a downward spiral and a feisty plus-size model who writes her journal entries in a movies star’s DMs. What could possibly go wrong if the wrong celebrity reads them and actually responds?😂
I loved this audiobook from start to finish! As soon as Jude was relegated to managing his brother’s social media, I knew what was going to happen!😂 The witty banter was top notch with flipping between the DMs and real life before they realize who they are, and those nicknames!! Love those! The romance was a slow burn, but this low angst, funny, flirty rom-com was exactly what I needed! I know this is billed as a standalone, but the world building was fantastic, with great supporting characters that I would love to see more of!
Laurie West & Alastair Haynesbridge both did a fabulous job bringing these characters to life. I worried that it would be difficult to follow the DM entries in the audio version without the written text to follow, but it was handled beautifully. Whether they were expressing comedy, emotion, or passion, both narrators hit every mark with ease. After reading some books with heavier emotional content, this one was a joy to listen to!
I received an ALC for free, and am leaving this review voluntarily.

I absolutely loved this book. The texting and interactions between the MCs were just so much fun to read. It had everything you look for in a good romance book. I really enjoyed it.
This was a fun light read. I actually loved that this wasn’t an overdone trope and felt like something original. Nothing too heavy or too spicy. I’d say the spice was pretty mild in this one especially compared to some of Teagan’s other books I read. But I didn’t mind that! It didn’t need the spice. I love a book set in New York and I loved the size representation and that she had her own thriving career in fashion and social media. I liked their banter and their chemistry. But I was thrown off right from the beginning with the whole concept of her using a celebrities DMs as her digital diary. It was so strange to me. Like who in their right mind would do that and what celebrity would not be freaked out by that. There were just a few things that I found too far fetched. Also his over use of her nickname drove me nuts and felt forced and cheesy. I love a nickname but it doesn’t need to be used constantly, yanno?! It’s like it loses its magic. I wouldn’t say this one is a must read but it was fun and original and if you love Teagan then add it to your list.
