This was a cute love story. However, I feel it would have been better without the explicit sex scenes. This author is not the greatest at writing these scenes and they were all quite cringy. The story of the female rockstar and the male cowboy from the country falling love was cute. They were adults though and a lot of the writing portrayed their personalities to be more that of a teenagers. They were easily made jealous of each other’s exs and fought very easily. They would be happy one second and thinking about their future together and the next second they’d be broken up over something silly. Very childish to me and not what I was expecting from adults.
Until Adleigh is a classic case of what it could have been but didn't at the end. It had all the potential to blow your mind. A tortured Rockstar with troubled past and messy present running back to her hometown with tainted memories and trauma. A brooding grumpy farmer with his own burden and trust issues. Complete opposite worlds colliding and explosion of instant chemistry. But all these pieces were half told and haphazardly executed.
Adleigh and Colter both have a lot of emotional baggage and I feel we didn't even scratch the surface. Adleigh ran away from the pain of her brother's suicide and her parents' grief and now she is back to the home. She is famous and rich and has been living her best rock and roll life but it was empty and chaotic and now she is heartbroken. Her father hasn't forgiven her, her mother is doing her best to heal Adleigh's scars and then she meets Colter on the first Day home.
They have an insta lust connection but Colter kept his distance initially as he already has a lot on his plate. His heart was broken by a woman he has completely dedicated his life to. And he doesn't need a passing Rockstar to break him farther. But Adleigh got under his skin and inside his heart with her sassy and vulnerability and he realises he can do new beginning.
It was fast paced and spicy. And I feel we didn't give enough time to work through major issues. There was scope of major angst and we missed it. Colter acted a bit irrationally and immaturely when he faced real struggle in the budding relationship and Adleigh was sometimes too lost. Her cheating ex and band mate coming to win her back complicated things but both of them could handle it better. Even before I could connect to their heartache and happiness..it was over.
I reviewed an early copy voluntarily through netgalley
it was cute but there wasnt a whole lot for it and the writing was mediocre. there's a lot more books that are more worthwhile reading in this genre, sorry. maybe if the book had been longer things would've been great!
Until Adleigh is a ⭐️⭐️read. It is a short romance novella which usually I wouldn't mind too much. However, I feel like the relationship between the main characters is rushed.
Adleigh is a heartbroken rockstar, whose ex-fiance cheats on her. This drives her to return to her small town, where she hasn't spoken to her parents in years. Colter is her attractive next-door neighbor. He also happens to be the brother of her high school lover???
Both characters have serious trauma and important backstories that could have been addressed better. With this said, I do like seeing the impact of their past traumas on their current relationship.
Thank you Amazon and Netgalley for the ARC. There were some formatting issues with the ebook and I hope these are fixed by the release date.

A new author for me and a really fun story! Adleigh has hit it big as a rock star, but is shattered when she catches her fiancé cheating on her. She needs to return home; the home that she left six years ago after a devastating death in the family. Her mother is pleased to see her, but not so much her father. As she gets reacquainted with the neighborhood, a new neighbor has caught her attention, the man next door. She had never met Colton Finn before, but he soon earns the nickname that she gives him…Big Boy. Although Colton is recovering from the loss of his long-time girlfriend, he never had the strong feelings that he has for Adleigh. Their attraction is sizzling hot, but he knows that eventually she will be returning to the music, the stage and the fans. Hot romance, strong emotions with a touch of humor as Adleigh faces home situations long left unresolved. The formatting situation with the advanced copy was a bit of an issue, but didn’t detract from this entertaining story. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation for an honest review. (paytonpuppy)
The story was good, I just didn’t like the back and forth of them being together or not. Same as the instant love, it was kinda crazy, kind of making me feel like I was reading a romance story when I was 13 in Wattpad. It wasn’t bad, I still enjoy the read, it just not my cup of tea.
I think a little more work on making the story slightly longer to give time to everything that happens in a small amount of “time” to settle in, or give its own problem their light to shine.
The author should be happy and proud of their work.
Thank you to NetGalley, author, and publisher for a copy of my arc ebook for my honest review!
Initially I wasn’t super impressed with a lot of the writing, it felt juvenile to me, but the writing does get a little better throughout. I also didn’t like the pace of the story at first, but then again it is a novella so it makes sense. I think there should be a main trigger warning for one event that is talked about in this book.
Even with all the “negatives” I am still super happy with reading this book. I loved the story behind to these two souls who were meant to be. I liked the back story we got for both of the characters and both of the MCs go through much needed character growth and I love that for them.
Definitely recommend reading this book, because it is a fast read, but also such a cute story!
1.5 stars
I love a small town romance, and rockstar one; so I was quite excited about this book. It just fell completely flat. The prose seemed trying so hard in places, but ended up making little sense, but there were also many editing and formatting issues which may have contributed to some of this. The arguements seemed young, and there just wasn't enough substance to fall in love with the characters. Honestly I almost DNFed after the pool scene. By the end I was just rolling my eyes.
Thank you to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for an advanced copy to form my opinions from.
This one was just okay for me. I just don't think I connected very well with the characters. This one just felt rushed to me and I think that's where the lack of connection to the characters and the story came from. I do think the characters were likable. Maybe more story would have given me more time to get to know the characters. I would definitely try another story from this author again. Huge thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for allowing me to read and review this story.
I enjoyed this book BUT the formatting was terrible. I tried updating the app (netgalley) and tried redownloading the book but it did not work for me. The chapter numbers / titles were in the middle of paragraphs, capital letters were all over the place and while I was able to piece it together.. it didn't flow very well.
I liked the content within it, small novella with easy tropes to enjoy. I am sure my experience would have been far more different if I had a hard copy of this text. I am sure it won't take much to fix!
Thank you to NetGalley and Victory Editing for providing an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Until Adleigh releases July 15, 2024
I'm sorry but I almost wish I only read the synopsis and just skipped this one.
For starters, little phrases like "boy was it one helluva night to remember" really threw me; seems more like ironic bad writing straight out of a DCOM and not what I want in a romance. The dialogue throughout is awkward, mostly because the book is so short Adleigh (the FMC) is almost forced into blurting things out to strangers to progress the plot and build exposition and then the same happens with Colter (the MMC) to build "tension" if you could even call it that because its basically insta-love. The plot is very rushed and the reader didn't connect with the characters and the characters don't develop on any level that matters even with their dramatic backstories.
Truly I don't even think I found this book romantic. Good banter is something I need and this was just lacking, from their first interaction to the spice it felt.....OFF. I probably wouldn't recommend to this to my friends because I found myself struggling to get past the bad writing there just wasn't much going on.
I am in complete shock at some of these reviews. I see a lot of them saying it's not realistic........ it's FICTION! I see a lot of them saying that her tattoos aren't on the cover....... it clearly states that her tattoos can all be cover in clothes, and for those that can't that were listed in the story they wouldn't be seen in the cover.
I personally loved this story. It's a novella so of course it's going to be a quick read. Colter and Adleigh literally met each other at the perfect time. They went through very similar things and the universe knew they needed each other. I really enjoyed seeing how much they have grown at the end of the story.
Thank you Alyssa Milani, Amazon and NetGalley for a copy of this story (:
I’m sorry, but this book was painfully hard to read. The smut was uncomfortable, the constant use of swear words was too much—and I’m someone who doesn’t mind a word thrown in here and there, but it was so excessive. There wasn’t a whole lot of interesting storytelling and I personally couldn’t recommend this book to anyone.

In my honest opinion I think there was room for plot development in the story as the arguments and getting together of the protagonists was rushed 😏. It was a lit of bit childish the way and also the reasons they argued and I don’t think it is to blame the fact that both of them had been cheated on by their ex-partners but that the author was in a hurry, at least that’s what I felt!
If the book was a little longer I think it would be much better . Nevertheless Colter and Adleigh were lovable and this was a nice love story !!❤️🤗
I thank NetGalley , the publisher and the author for the Arc in exchange for my honest opinion!! 🙏🏻
Thoroughly enjoyed this read. As always, the author’s writing is gripping and the characters worm their way in to your heart leaving you wanting more. Would have easily read another couple hundred pages regarding this couple.
I loved the dynamic, the rebuilding of relationships, and how both main characters grew with each other to become the best that they could be, both individually and as a couple.
"Until Adleigh" by Alyssa Milani weaves a heartfelt tale of a rockstar fleeing from her problems and a farmer grappling with his deception. Their unexpected meeting sparks a love story neither anticipated. A beautifully crafted romance that explores themes of redemption and unexpected connections. Highly recommended for romance enthusiasts!
This book was not for me.
DNF.
Everything happens very fast at the beginning: she finds her fiancé cheating on her and the second she is in the town where she ran away from home to be a superstar and thinks her parents are going to give her a warm welcome, but watch out, she doesn't want to be there and keeps making derogatory comments about the town. I couldn't read more than 40% of the book because the main characters felt empty to me, not the book for me but it may be for someone else.
📌I received a e-copy through netgalley, and this is my honest opinion/review of it.
Personally this story just wasn't for me. It started off really strong, but the behaviors of the characters kinda gave me whiplash. I wouldn't NOT recommend this, as someone else may really love it! It's just not for me.
Thank you so much netgalley and Alyssa for sending me this E-ARC though, I really appreciate it :)
This is a great book! I loved the characters and the story. I enjoyed the romance between the main characters!
Thank you to Amazon and NetGalley for a free copy!
