I had a hard time getting into this novel. I didn’t really like Ava; I felt like she was too immature and whinny. The relationships felt flat and I would have liked to see them developed past cliché.

Thank you prhaudio for the ALC and berkeley for the finished copy! I needed both of them because I started on audio but was enjoying it so much, I started reading it as soon as I could no longer listen.
I’ll take no criticism of this book - it was one of the best i’ve read so far this year! It brought me a lot of joy, and I stayed up so late trying to finish it towards the end.
It’s has everything I need in a romance. A funny meet cute, travel, banter, a man that is dreamy, and both characters that are kinda messy. I LOVE when characters are stuck with each other, and they’re traveling and just have to experience all of the craziness that life throws at them. Seeing how they get through it together, is one of my favorite things. The setting of this book was fantastic.
Jack was so dreamy to me because he seemed SO STEADY. He was consistent, he was there for her, and I just about died when she said watching him was like competency p**n (I dont want to get flagged here). Honestly, it made me realize that I TOO love the quality of someone who is competent hahaha.
I liked Ada a lot, I wanted her to get over her ex faster than she did lol, but I get it girl. Together they were really cute and their banter was TOP NOTCH.
Brittany Presley did an amazing job at the narration. She’s one of my favorites and she always captures all the right emotions.

Thank you to Berkley for the advanced copy through the #BerkleyBesties program. All thoughts are my own!
I had such a fun time with this book! I fell in love with Ada and Jack as they ran through planes, trains, and all kinds of shenanigans to make it to a wedding neither of them wanted to actually go to. Their meet cute was especially funny and really helped set the humorous tone for the rest of the book.
You could tell that Jack was such a secret softie on the inside and I couldn't put this book down as I desperately wanted to get to know his past. But I also loved Ada's internal struggle throughout the story. She was truly at a crossroads in her life and had so many questions she needed to answer for herself. I don't want to give away the ending but I really appreciated how Heather handled the ending for these two. I think it really made sense and helped set Ada and Jack up for the happily ever after they both deserved.
I definitely recommend checking this one out if you love travel mishaps, witty banter, forced proximity and complex characters with so much chemistry right off the bat.

Wedding Dashers by Heather McBreen
4 stars
I first heard about Wedding Dashers after seeing Danica Neva rave about it, and I couldn’t resist checking it out. After reading her recommendation, I requested it on NetGalley in exchange for an honest review – and I’m so glad I did!
Heather McBreen’s Wedding Dashers is a laugh-out-loud romantic comedy that combines heart and humor in the most delightful way. If you're a fan of films like Leap Year, When in Rome, The Proposal, or any nostalgic rom-com, you’ll find this book right up your alley.
The story follows Ada, a woman who’s hit a rough patch in life. After her tattoo shop closes, she moves back in with her parents, and on top of that, she’s on a break from her long-term boyfriend. Her emotions are all over the place as she heads to her little sister Ali’s wedding in Ireland. Things only seem to go from bad to worse when a cheap airline leaves her stranded in London. With only a couple of days to make it to the wedding with the all-important veil in hand, Ada feels like she’s reached rock bottom.
Enter Jack, a charming and self-assured guy who hands Ada a tampon when she accidentally drops her bag. Their first meeting is hilariously awkward, but as fate would have it, they’re both heading to the same wedding. With no other options for accommodation, Ada ends up staying at Jack’s place – and of course, there's only one bed. Cue the tension!
After a mix-up, the two realize that Jack is the best man at the wedding – and someone with a reputation for being a bit of a playboy. Despite their initial friction, Ada and Jack decide to team up to get to the wedding on time. They travel by car, train, and whatever else they can to make their way to Ireland, facing all sorts of misadventures along the way. Both of them are a little skeptical about the wedding in the first place, since Ali and Colin haven’t known each other long. But that’s when the adventure truly begins. From navigating travel mishaps to discovering more about each other’s pasts, their journey takes them all over, even to the stunning landscapes of Scotland. The whole travel aspect reminded me a bit of that Ben Affleck and Sandra Bullock movie, Forces of Nature, where a wild road trip leads to unexpected adventures.
One of my favorite moments in the book was when Ada and Jack, trying to avoid the prying eyes of a foreign hotel owner in Scotland, pretend to be a married couple and make over-the-top "sex noises" to get him to leave them alone. It's absolutely hilarious and showcases McBreen's skill at creating comedic moments. To top it off, the hotel provides them with a "baby maker" blanket, adding yet another layer of absurd humor to the situation.
What I loved most about this book is how both Ada and Jack experience personal growth. Their chemistry builds slowly as they challenge each other and learn to face their emotional baggage. It’s refreshing to see characters who evolve in a way that feels both realistic and meaningful.
And the ending? Oh, it’s perfect. A romantic rendezvous in Italy over pizza? I mean, come on – what’s more romantic than that?
Wedding Dashers is a wonderful blend of humor, romance, and heartfelt moments. It gave me all the nostalgic rom-com vibes, like something straight out of a 2000s classic, but with a fresh twist. McBreen’s writing kept me engaged from start to finish, and I couldn’t help but root for Ada and Jack every step of the way. If you're in the mood for a sweet, funny, and ultimately uplifting read, this one’s a must!

Wow, I had so much fun with this one! From the very first page, I was hooked. As someone who loves quick, witty banter in rom-coms, Wedding Dashers absolutely nailed it. The chemistry between our two main characters, Jack and Ada, is instant and electric. Both are trying to make it to Ireland for a wedding in just a few days, but there's one small issue—getting there isn’t exactly easy. Their transportation troubles lead them to reluctantly team up, sending them on an unforgettable adventure, and as their journey unfolds, their chemistry only intensifies.
I especially enjoyed watching the character growth between Jack and Ada. While the story does lean into a bit of insta-love, the way the author handled it by the end was an enjoyable surprise. It wasn’t what I expected, but I really appreciated how realistic and healthy it was.
Overall, if you're a fan of classic rom-coms, Wedding Dashers is definitely for you. It’s charming, funny, and heartwarming, making it the perfect read for rom-com lovers such as myself!

I absolutely loved this book! Ada and Jack were such an entertaining couple. They have a hilarious meet cute and discover they are both going to the same wedding in Northern Ireland, Ada’s little sister is marrying Jack’s best friend Colin. And both Jack and Ada aren’t sure they should get married. Ada is a little down on her luck after her dream career of her own tattoo shop is forced to close and she’s a little lost.
Ada gets stuck in London with very little money and needs to rely on the kindness of Jack to get her to the wedding in Belfast. But very single thing that could go wrong, does. It takes them days and many miles on their travels. They start out as enemies and quickly turn to lovers.
This book was laugh out loud funny and absolutely delightful. Both of the characters show wonderful growth as they learn about each other and themselves. They share incredible banter and inside jokes through the book. I would highly recommend this debut novel.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was SOOO cute!! Gave me the same feeling early 2000s romcoms did. Fast paced, funny, full of banter.

I can't do it I'M SORRY OK!! We're just off to a super rough start with so many things I already don't like.
The FMC and her longtime partner of eight years are currently on a three month "break" *cue Friends trauma* and it is so painfully obvious that her ex doesn't want to be with her anymore. But she's still holding out hope because she loves the comfort of their relationship...KNOW YOUR WORTH BB
Then we meet the MMC who is a total douche and tries to take advantage of her situation of getting screwed out of her hotel room by offering to let her stay with him - basically in the hopes that she would sleep with him.
They both have dirt on each other at this point in the book (literally 10% in), and so in a roundabout way of blackmailing her he tells her she can't say anything about him taking the groom to a strip club. I'm that girl who thinks it's super disrespectful to go to a strip club literally the day before you get married, so ick.
I also read through some of the spoilers in other reviews, and apparently he is separated from his wife, not fully divorced. EW. I'm sorry but double ick.
I found myself not wanting to read bc this was my current book, plus I was barely making a dent bc I just didn't like it. Life is too short people, DNF when it's not the vibe!!

First of all - thank you to Berkley romance and NetGalley for the free e-arc!! Couldn't be more grateful if I tried.
Secondly - for a debut I honestly fell in love with this story and consider it to be very well done, very beautifully written, and just a really interesting take on forced proximity, travel, and slow burns!
We start off with Ada, who let's be honest - is a bit of a mess. She's struggling, she's trying to get to Ireland for her younger sisters wedding (in a castle!) and she's just dealing with all of the emotions. Some travel issues occur and she's forced to spend the night in a hotel in London - only she was given the wrong voucher so she can't get a free stay. What's one to do while trying to plan and figure out next steps? Go to the Pub of course! Enter Jack, a man on a way to his best friend's wedding but having travel issues as well. One thing leads to another and he invites her back to his room...
A series of never-ending bad luck ensues as they discover they are the maid of honor & best man for the same wedding, and so they decide to make the trek to Ireland together. It's hilarious, the banter is top notch, and I just loved watching them peel back layers to each other.
They eventually get to the wedding and honestly, that's when the book really picked up for me. All of the tension, and witty moments filled with delicious banter all really came to a head and they had an amazing night. It was passionate, it was spicy, and I just loved how they both took the time to really explore each other. What I loved the absolute most? Was that they explored the pain, and both accepted that they needed time to heal, time to grow and find their own ways and places in this world before they could ever truly work as a couple. It was honest, it was painful, but it was truly an amazing book because of it. I LOVED that the ending was realistic and I wish that it was the case with more romance books.

LOVE LOVE LOVE!
Yall this one was so good. I got this as an arc and I was warring with finishing it right away or savoring it.
And the authors note for behind the book at the end?? Heather you have another auto buy fan in me!
Here’s what you need to know: Ada is heading to her sisters wedding in Ireland and every things seems to be going wrong. Until she meets the handsome stranger who seems to be having the same problems as her. Is he nice? Or just looking for a way to pass the time 👀. They discover truths about each other and themselves as they journey across Europe to try and make it to the wedding on time.
Random things I loved:
- how much Jack loves pizza
- the twilight reference 🤭
- the sewing kit?? 🫠
- a man who will break down a restroom door 😏
- the growth of the characters
- the full circle moment
Truly baffled that this is a debut! If you like rom-coms with fleshed out characters and great banter this one is for you!
2 open door scenes.
Thank you to Berkley and NetGalley for the arc in exchange for an honest review.

This was a super cute read. I loved the emotional depth of each character. The chemistry was excellent.

Ada’s trekking to Ireland for her little sister’s wedding but she’s broke, and a flight cancellation leaves her down and out. When she runs into Jack in a hotel, all her problems seem solved...or are they? Once they realize they're both headed to the same wedding, some fighting ensues until they realize their best way to get to Ireland is together.
Things to love:
⭕️ Big enemies to lovers vibes that results in lots of great banter
⭕️ Forced proximity via cross country road trip (under sort of duress?)
⭕️ Fall in love with sister’s fiancee’s bff that your sister hates - yes please.
⭕️ One bed and under a strict religious B&B owner's eyes (baby-making blanket, anyone?)
⭕️ Opposites attract in a way where both people grow
This was a little unevenly paced, but ultimately lots and lots of fun to read!

I had a blast with this one!!! I love a down on your luck heroine and MESSY characters and am a fiend for good banter and jack and ada have IT!!! the chemistry was off the charts and the ending was so full circle. this was a solid solid debut and I can’t wait to read more by this author!!

I need everyone to read this book it is SO so good!!!!!!
From the very beginning, I knew I was gonna love this book because the characters meet in the first couple chapters which I love!!! I love when you’re immediately sucked into a story and following the characters from the very beginning. I loved the continued forced proximity throughout the book and the main characters having to work together.
I loved the main characters 🥹 their banter was so good but they also had very distinct traits and journeys they were going on. We were following Ada for the most part in her pov, but we also learn a lot about Jack from Ada’s pov which I enjoyed! I loved the sister dynamics and there’s just something about a man named Jack!!!! I’ve never not loved a man named Jack 🙂↔️
I also absolutely loved the setting, the imagery, and the descriptions of the setting. I felt so immersed in the story and I also now want to travel to Europe even more to see these places! I loved that Ada and Jack made the most out of each place they ended up at.
I also cannot get enough of McBreen’s writing — I highlighted so many quotes!!!!! So so good!!
After finishing this book, I was so sad I had no more pages left and just wanted more of them doing nothing/mundane things just so I could read it!!! It was just absolutely perfect and I already can’t wait to reread it <3

Thank you @NetGalley and @Berkley for the ARC. This was such a cute Rom-Com. I enjoyed the setting of London and how their route keep changing to get to Ireland. Ada and Jack are trying to make it to the family wedding but wherever Ada is chaos comes. The tension between the two MCs is so fun. A must read for anyone who loves a Rom-Com.

After her connecting flight for her sister’s wedding in Ireland is canceled, Ada meets a handsome stranger in a hotel bar who offers her a room for the night *insert eyebrow wiggle here* It’s then she discovers that her would be one night stand is none other than the womanizing best man she has yet to meet, Jack. Despite their obvious tension, the pair bicker & banter throughout their wacky roadtrip from London, through Scotland until they finally reach their final destination in Belfast.
I loved this book! I will forever be a fan of a romance surrounded by the misadventures of traveling, despite it low key giving me chest pain. It was fun, while still being
The MCs stole my heart. Ada & Jack were written in a real & messy way that made them feel all too believable. How this pair were so clearly filled with chemistry, but seemingly meeting at the wrong time in their lives for love. My heart broke for them only to be put back together again.
I couldn’t help but feel connected to Ada & her strength in learning to stand on her own once again after heartbreak. I found myself looking inward right along with her, loving the growth both her & Jack brought.
I primarily listened to Wedding Dashers & I highly recommend the audio. It’s narrated by Brittany Pressley so you can trust when I say you’re 100% going to love it!

The Wedding Dashers has a great premise: two strangers almost have a one-night stand after their flight gets cancelled, only for it to end in disaster. Instead of parting ways and putting it behind them, both Ada and Jack turn out to be important players in the wedding they're both traveling to, and they end up having to make the journey together.
This is a cute setup, and I wish it had worked for me. I think readers of romcoms looking for a lighthearted vacation read may still want to pick this one up. For me, I had a hard time getting into the relationship, which is a romance novel death knell for me. When they first meet, Ada comes across as hopelessly naive and immature, while Jack comes off as condescending and presumptuous. While this is not necessarily a dealbreaker if their character arcs develop well, I found the dialogue to be unrealistic and the characters read more like teenagers than adults, so I was never able to get behind them. I hope this works for other readers because I think it has a lot of potential. Thank you to Berkley for the arc!

Thank you Berkley for the free ARC for an honest review!!
I really wanted to compare this to holiday romance - similar-ish plot. But no, I needed to be fair to this book.
I really enjoy reading about people traveling. Especially to places I’ve been to because it’s a good reminder of my trips, and I can picture myself there. 🤍
Jack and Ada are your unlikely couple. She’s waiting on her ex to solidify their break up or get back together. Jack is a womanizer - just taking it easy.
However, when they’re stuck together on their way to her sister’s and his best friend’s wedding - they realize that maybe there’s something there.
I love that this was realistic? We didn’t just fly by the issues they had - they took steps to address the potential problems and work on themselves. I also loved the comedic relief in between all the deep topics.
I’m not sure if this is a debut? But I will be reading more from heather!
