I cannot explain how happy I was to see the second volume nor how quickly I consumed it! The spooky, paranormal vibe was fully present, and the 'spooky' characters are so personable and fun.
Our favorite duo and friends return, and the story right where the first left off, so we continue to see how their story unfolds. I loved learning more about Icabod, though there is still so much to answer! Ellie and her powers are more explored in this, and we see the two delve into paranormal mysteries.
The next can't come quickly enough!

"Oh. Well, it's not like my corpse is going to get up and wander off. eheheh.."
Ichabod and his paranormal friends are back. They are ready to chew bubblegum and kick some ass. And they are all out of bubblegum.
This one was a lot darker and way more adventurous than the first. Ellie is finally making a name for herself and coming into her powers which is really exciting. As the story grows, I'm becoming more excited to see how this all plays out.
Third Shift Society is a fantastic series and one I can't wait to continue. I'll now be signing all of my paychecks over to Webtoon Comics.

Gah! I love this webtoon. Ichabod and Ellie are at it again, solving paranormal mysteries. This volume was a rollercoaster for sure. I loved reading about the growth Ellie went through and the confidence she gained in herself after how volume 1 left off. Also, me thinks I saw some sparks flying between our favorite pumpkin head detective and his new partner (perhaps during a dance in a haunted theater!) If you want the know the tea happening between the two, along with figuring out what Oberon and Titania are planning, run don’t walk to your favorite bookseller and grab a copy!
Thank you to Wattpad Webtoon Book Group and NetGalley for the ARC copy of this book!

A great continuation of Volume One, I really enjoyed the bond growing between Ellie and Ichabod along with gaining some backstory to Ichabods...condition. While some questions were answered, I enjoy that there is still plenty of mystery regarding the pumpkin head and antagonists trying to capture them. The art is still gorgeous and lends a darker tone that helps the suspenseful moments in the novel.

Meredith Moriarty's cozy fantasy-horror mystery book finally gives us more backstory and intrigue about the main characters, Ellie and Ichabod. I remain reminded of a more cutesy Hack/Slash as the story continues, with a monster of the week story that connects to the larger story arc of the volume, and I still don't hate it :P
The Scooby gang in the Third Shift Society also expands their ranks in this volume, adding a new witch friend to the fold. I appreciate that though it's stated from her introduction that she's an old flame of Ichabod's, Moriarty chooses to not pit the two women (the witch, Maris, and Ellie) against each other for Ichabod's affections. Love triangles is a worn trope right now, and I guess so is the will they/won't they of Ichabod/Ellie, but it's also not front and center so it makes it much more palatable... I'm actually reminded of the early relationship of Agents Fox and Mulder on The X-Files. Ellie and Ichabod have that same slow burn.
But what's most interesting is the history behind Ichabod and what he is and how he came to be. Moriarty drip feeds just enough intrigue to keep you reading but not frustrated. Volume Two of course ends on a cliff-hanger though, and I am already looking forward to Volume Three. I also love that though this isn't written for children, it's so far not inappropriate enough for a YA reader. My niece is almost ten and loved the first volume! She also loves how cute the art is haha
Third Shift Society is the perfect cozy urban fantasy for autumn-loving folks :)

A wonderful continuation to a fun overarching storyline! I’m grateful there was a brief recap at the beginning of the webtoon it was nice to remember exactly where we left off on such a good cliffhanger!
I love the continued development of Ichabod and Ellie’s relationship as well as more in depth explanation of his backstory. The artwork was absolutely beautiful and so detailed, it made the webtoon so immersive! I love how seamless each chapter flows and how the constant action propels the book and the storyline forward without being confusing.
Thank you to the Publisher and NetGalley for invitation to read and review this ARC. All opinions are my own.

Thank you SO MUCH for the chance to read volume two of this graphic novel series!
Once again, I greatly enjoyed the art style, and I LOVED Ellie and Ichabod! As well as all the side characters that showed up. I’m so incredibly interested to see where the plot goes… That ending was SOMETHING!
I like having things to try and figure out, and there’s a few in this one that I’m trying to puzzle through - but it’s keeping me so interested!

Magic, mystery, and working for a paranormal investigative agency! Picking up where the first book left off Ellie is now working at a paranormal investigative agency. She is still learning how to use her psychic powers and working with a paranormal detective with the head of a Jack-O-Lantern sure is fun. Ellie's life is completely changed, she went from being on the verge of eviction to now fighting monsters. With dark forces still out there and Ellie and Ichabod's relationship still being new, can they find a way to work together and stop the sinister demons before it's too late. This was a fun continuation of the first book and I can't wait to see where the rest of this series and how Ichabod and Ellie's partnership grows. The artwork is really well done and the world that was created was so fun to explore. I love how Ellie is getting stronger and how Ichabod is opening up to her more. It's a unique and fun series that I would definitely recommend!

*Thanks Netgalley and Wattpad WEBTOON Book Group | WEBTOON Unscrolled for sending me an arc in exchange for an honest review*

I think you could show a picture of her with Ichabod on Tumblr and really get a lot of hits from a specific group of people. This is like a mix of Ninth House/Shadow Hunters/Raven Cycle but with Halloween as the main theme and the 2nd vol is strong.

Thank you NetGalley and WEBTOON Unscrolled for the arc copy of this book.
This is the second volume of Third Shift Society. It starts up right where the first left off with a small recap.
We see both ‘monster of the week’ type chapters and progression in the overarching story arc. Again, it’s fast paced and chock full of action.
My favorite part is that we get more information about what’s going on with Ellie and Ichabod. Plus, there’s backstory! I like the easter eggs in one of the back story panels. I smiled as I recognized familiar images.
It was a fun book.
Thank you again NetGalley and WEBTOON Unscrolled for the opportunity to read this book.

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for an advanced copy!! I loved the first one and I loved this one as well. A combination of action, horror, and mystery with a tad bit of romance. The art like always is top notch and the characters are fun.

My ‘mistake’ with volume 2 of THIRD SHIFT SOCIETY was the same as with volume 1. I intended to savor the story, reading it in small doses, but the compelling characters, intricate plot, and stunning art by Meredith Moriarty drew me in. The opportunity to read volume 2 early was a true joy, leaving me as a very happy Katie this weekend!
This volume featured the same gorgeous art as pumpkin head Icabod and pigtailed Elle, new characters and monsters, our villains are back, and lots of magic and fighting. I can’t wait to read it again in book format and see the art on the pages so vividly!
I was excited about how the storyline progressed. I like that we don’t get every moment of every single day of what they are doing. It works well for this series. I like how the characters are starting to trust each other, become friends, and turn into their own Scooby Squad. I especially like that we learned more about Icabod in this book! I can’t wait to find out even more. His backstory is so intriguing.
I don’t know if it was a good thing to let my excitement and passion take over and read this in a day because now I have to wait until October for the real thing, but it's worth it to be back in the world of THIRD SHIFT SOCIETY!
Thanks, Wattpad WEBTOON Unscrolled and Netgalley, for the ARC!
THIRD SHIFT SOCIETY VOLUME 2 is out on 10/29.

This graphic novel series makes me so happy. I love the characters, the artwork and the magic! Ellie and Ichabod are a great duo and I look forward to them getting closer in the next volume. We learn some more about Ichabod in this volume and while he's still definitely an enigma, he's opening up to Ellie and I'm excited to get more into his backstory. This volume picks up from where volume one left off and I was able to jump right back in. The story and the art flow seamlessly and while it's a decent length, it definitely left me wanting more. I recommend Third Shift Society to anyone who likes detective stories and the paranormal -- it's fun, spooky vibes and I will for sure be continuing with the series!
Thank you Wattpad WEBTOON Book Group, WEBTOON Unscrolled for the digital ARC via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Book two is great. We get to learn more about Ichabod and his background story. We get to see our two main characters getting to know each other better and seeing the bad guys evil plan unfolding. I can't wait till the next book to see what is going to happen next. I really enjoy this series.
