I'm such a fan of unrequited love that become reciprocated! Daniel and Jade's relationship definitely goes on a journey over time and becomes stronger as he remains steadfast through all her life's trials. Jade has been through some pretty tough things, and I admired her determination to move forward. I didn't always agree with her methods but the author made it easy for the reader to at least understand and sympathize with her. Emotional and inspiring!

One of my all-time favorite Denise Hunter novels! Wonderful characters, a delightful setting and a deeper message that stays with the reader long after the book is finished.

Denise Hunter is one of my go-to authors. I can pretty much count on loving anything she writes. I wasn't quite so sure about this book after reading the back cover copy, but her superb storytelling won me over. She had me sobbing at times, but the book is filled with such hope that you simply can't help but love it.

This author is an auto-read for me and many of my patrons.

I enjoyed this story of Jade and Daniel. They were both intriguing characters, and I rooted for the best possible outcome for them. The story was interesting, and I look forward to more in the series.
