Thank you NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for the ARC! 3.5 Stars

The first half of the book had me intrigued, and I loved the concept of reincarnations and remembering their past lives. It was new for me, and I particularly loved the chapters in the past. The romance was sweet, and I loved the contrast of character between Evelyn and Arden. While he was quiet and closed off, she was selfless, optimistic, and always seeking love. It has a good contrast between choosing the world over you and choosing you over the world.

I lost interest in the plot during the second half of the book. The chapters in the present have started to bore me since there is barely anything happening. The plot remained stagnant until the last 20% when the characters received answers about their condition and origin story. The final part of the book did not interest me, and I was out of it by that point. I wish the author had dropped more hints throughout the story to keep us intrigued, rather than waiting until the very end to explain everything.

Thank you, NetGalley and St. Martin's Press ! I loved the concept of this book, with its focus on reincarnation and the characters always remembering each other. The story beautifully explores themes of love, family, and plenty of angst. I especially enjoyed how the author skillfully wove the narrative through different time periods, allowing Evelyn and Arden's love story to unfold across the pages. However, I wish there had been more emphasis on the romance. At times, it felt like there was more focus on them killing each other rather than their love story truly unraveling.

Our Infinite Fates is so beautiful I’m not even sure I have the words to write a review that will do it justice.

I read this book in one sitting and sat up half the night after I finished it because I couldn’t stop thinking about the characters.

The way love is portrayed in this book is so stunning it made my heart ache. I love how Arden and Evelyn’s souls were connected in every life.

The ending left me reeling and I immediately started re-reading the book to watch the story unfold again.

Cannot recommend this enough. Beautiful story. Beautiful writing. Beautiful execution.

Well-written, but not my favorite. I think it's a matter of my expectations; I went in hoping for something with a stronger fantasy element, while this one was purely character focused. Not bad by any stretch of the imagination, and with very strong characters, but the expectation did not line up with reality, unfortunately. Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for a free ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This is definitely a new favorite. I DEVOURED this, I was instantly hooked, I did not want to stop reading until I knew what had happened and what was going to happen. I loved both of the characters in every life and the personality and love the brought. This novel is beautifully written. I loved everything.

Thank you SO much, St. Martin's Press | Wednesday Books, for providing me with an ARC. To say I loved this book would be an understatement.

Laura Steven's storytelling is simply mesmerizing. This was my first time reading her work, and I was captivated by her poetic, whimsical, yet dark writing style. The storyline kept me on the edge of my seat, and the unexpected twist was perfect. The alternating timeline allowed me to delve deeper into the characters with every chapter, which I found very satisfying.

While I wished for more distinct points of view, the character development and execution were impeccable. Towards the end, I longed for a bit more closure regarding one or two of the scenes, but it didn't diminish the book's overall quality. This book checked nearly all the boxes for me; there is very little I'd change. It is easily a solid 4-star read, but because of the strong impression it left on me and the fact that I'd read this over and over again, I'm rounding up to a 5. ✨

It was achingly beautiful and easily devoured. Evelyn and Arden will forever be etched into my heart. I can hardly wait for March 4th, 2025. I highly recommend picking this book up on publication day! In the meantime, I'll be adding other books by this author to my to-be-read list.

I love you, and I have loved you, and I will love you.

Excuse me. I am going to need a week to recover from this. Laura Steven, you did a fantastic job. I'm wrecked.

NetGalley and Penguin, thank you so much for the ARC. I will do a more detailed review once the book is released. But for now, I'm going to stew over this.

Oh wow, this was amazing. This isn’t going to be a very long review because almost everything I loved about this book is a spoiler. Our Infinite Fates is about two souls cursed to kill each other in every life. This was so rich with history and culture, and I absolutely loved every flashback that painted more of the story. This was heart wrenching and deeply romantic and morbid. The prose is so beautiful and artistic. I really wish I could put my favorite quotes in this review without spoilers, but you’re gonna just have to trust me on this one. I am so happy with the way this ended, and I need to read more books by this author immediately to cure the inevitable hangover I’m going to have from this book.

First, thank you Laura Steven for writing a book so beautiful that I cried on SIX separate occasions in the last 50%.

Our Infinite Fates is a once in a lifetime book and one that I think will without a doubt blow up in 2025. It is such a compelling read that I found myself thinking about whenever I wasn’t reading.

The concept of reincarnation in this story is SO freaking cool and I have to give serious props to the author because it can be difficult to write interwoven timelines but it was executed perfectly here. Evelyn and Arden’s love story is so achingly beautiful, and I truly loved experiencing every iteration of their lives.

I do wish that the ending with the Mother had been expanded a bit, as the resolution wrapped up a bit too quickly for my liking. I also would have liked to see some more angst and tension between Evelyn and Arden and I think the occasional Arden POV could have helped with this while still maintaining the mystery.

Thank you for the opportunity to read this early!

Our Infinte Threads is a compelling novel by Laura Stevens following two characters, Arden and Evelyn, throughout centuries of time has they’re made to fall in love and kill each other. The novel has been comped to The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue and This is How You win the Time War and I can see why in both regards. The novel is a bingeable read and Steven’s prose really shines through. I also really appreciated the generous amount of historical research that went into this and how diverse they tried to make their character’s histories. You can really feel the thought that went through when choose the different locations and it really added to the richness of the their backgrounds. The reader is left flipping the pages to understand the why behind their necessary killing of each other just like Evelyn and while I thought it was all wrapped up too swiftly for a satisfying ending, I can see why some readers might really emotionally connect with the story.

I’m crying, I’m sobbing.

This is such a beautiful story about a love that transcends time and place. This author perfectly captures the beauty of intimately knowing and loving someone. And as someone who struggles so profoundly with grief and loss, this book brought me so much comfort in feeling that my love for those I’ve lost will carry on for eternity.

I love you, and I have loved you, and I will love you.

I have been struggling to pick up a book and over the course of the last few months struggled to enjoy anything I read. This however was a bright spot in an otherwise turbulent few months. Steven takes us through a journey of a couple whose fate is intertwined throughout the various reiterations of their life. Its very similar to Addie LaRue on the surface but its written with enough heart and prose that it will leave even Addie's most devout fans satisfied.

If giving a stand ovation to a book after finishing is weird, well then I gave this book an ovation worthy of the Venice Film Festival.

Thank you to Wednesday Books for providing an ARC via NetGalley all opinions are my own.

the way the last chapter made me bawl my eyes out 😭😭😭😭
no idea how i'm gonna write this review, but this book deserves all the stars just for its prose alone

"My heart clenched in a fist as I released our lips, pressing my forehead against his, gazing into those furnace-like eyes. There was always so much behind them; emotion churning and writhing, so rarely given a way out. I often felt like I could spend another thousand lifetimes trying to coax it free, and it wouldn't be long enough."

I have no idea where to begin or how to put into words what this story was like without spoiling everything.
I think that readers who love The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue and Divine Rivals will love Our Infinite Fates as well.

This story is so achingly beautiful and tragic and tormenting and haunting that I know it will stay with me.
The writing was exquisite, I highlighted so many soul-burrowing quotes I could've highlighted the whole book.
Our Infinite Fates is about world-bending death-defying love that transcends time and gender but also about hope and dreams and the pain we can endure.
It brought me to tears so. many. times. as early as 30 pages in which I didn't think was possible but there was just something about Laura's prose that wove itself around my heart before I even realized.

the MCs and their love were so complex and layered I wanted to explore every intimate seam.

The twists shocked me, the tension had me glued to the page as the story unfolded.

I don't wanna give away too much and I don't think I can adequately convey the depth of this story even if I tried.
I can't wait for everyone to be as obsessed and as heartbroken as me in March '25.

eternal gratitude to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC

I will absolutely be purchasing a physical copy of this one, that’s how much I enjoyed it!

The very premise of this book is so intriguing from the jump—reincarnated lovers fated to kill one another—and it maintained my curiosity throughout without getting stale. The snippets into other lives was my favourite part, and I applaud the author for being so creative with some of those reincarnations! Our main characters are sharp and well written, with flaws and multifaceted personalities.

This book made me angsty in the best way. A must read for fans of the genre.

What an absolute thrill ride! It follows Evelyn and Arden, two immortals who are destined to love and fight each other in every lifetime. Their story is timeless and beautifully written, making it a joy to read.

The writing is stunning, the characters are deep and real, and the plot is wild! I couldn't put it down, and the twists had me reading late into the night.

If you enjoyed The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue , This Is How You Lose the Time War or Divine Rivals you will adore this story! The characters felt so vivid and unforgettable. Thank you NetGalley for an ARC of this story! ⭐

“They've loved each other in a thousand lifetimes. They've killed each other in every one.”

This book comes out in March of 2025, and hear me out: it’ll be a popular book.
It’ll be all over bookstagram. I predict lots of 5 star reviews.

If you like Addie LaRue, and magical realism wrapped in a beautiful romantic story, this one’s for you!

Arden’s soul has been tethered to Evelyn’s for a thousand lifetimes. They always find each other, and Arden always kills Evelyn before she turns eighteen.

Why? When did this start? And why does Evelyn keep loving Arden so much, no matter what?

The development of the story is incredible. The ending is perfect. I looooved it!!!
