This book has a great cover and an interesting premise. I started it thinking it would be more sweet than it actually was. Although well written it felt like the story was a bit repetitive. I liked the flash back stories but found myself uninterested in the main timeline. This made it hard to enjoy the story and by the end I just wanted to know what the secret was so it could be over. The answer wasn’t what I expected but was still kind of a let down. I guess the story just wasn’t for me.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the arc

I have been chasing something to fill the hole The Invisible Life of Addie Larue left in my heart for years. This. This is it.
This was my second Laura Steven book, and getting to see how her writing has changed and grown is truly amazing. This book was so lyrical and enchanting. I’m the kind of person who notices a writing style immediately, and have been known to swear off an author entirely because I couldn’t stand the writing. This writing was simply beautiful. I will probably never stop raving about it.
I adored Arden and Evalyn. I absolutely loved how in each life, there are bits and pieces of them that carry over no matter how different their new life is. Reincarnation can be a tricky thing, and I think the author handles it beautifully. Arden is always a poet who distances themselves from everyone because of the pain of knowing their time is limited every life, meanwhile Evalyn can’t help but love everyone around them fiercely despite knowing how limited their time is.
I was fascinated by the way Evalyn and Arden could reincarnate as either gender. It really made me pause and contemplate the idea of a soul more than I ever have before. These two were always the same person, no matter where their new lives were and who they presented as. And I found that so beautiful.
The flow of this book was also a huge reason why I loved it so much. While there seems to be one main timeline, the “current” one, every chapter or so we get to travel further and further back into their history, slowly unraveling why things are always fated to end the same. I love that setup so much.
I genuinely could not recommend this book enough. It had me contemplating life, it had me sobbing, and it had me staring off into the abyss. This book is sticking with me, and I’m already excited for a reread where I can tab a physical copy because I just loved this writing so so much.
Thank you so much to NetGalley and Wednesday Books for the ARC!

This novel is an intriguing story of fate and undying (literally) love following Evelyn and Arden whose intertwined lives span centuries. Bound by an eternal cycle, they reincarnate every 18 years, destined to meet, fall in love, and ultimately kill one another. This idea of fates wound in love and tragedy was enough to interest me.
Steven did a wonderful job curating intriguing characters. Gracie, the present-day sister of Evelyn (FMC), brings a joyous, yet somber, presence that provides comedic relief to break the tension at times. My favorite, however, were Arden's reincarnations. I felt they added an air of unpredictability, as their identities shifted dramatically across lifetimes, creating fresh dynamics each time. Evelyn, who is often described as kind, steadfast, and determined, remains a constant through the timelines. Though her flaw of being unable to recognize certain important connections left me a bittt exasperated at times.
The prose is where this book truly shines. Its beauty compels you to keep reading, and the high stakes made it impossible, for me personally, to put down. However, despite their fates being tethered, I found Evelyn and Arden's romance to be a bit lacking. For a love that has gone on for centuries, it sometimes felt as though the romance itself was put on the back burner. While the plot is undeniably a page turner, I found myself longing for deeper moments between the two love interests, especially given the scale of their bond. That said, this reflects more on my personal expectations/preferences, so take from it what you will.
Ultimately, this novel succeeds in blending beautiful prose, an imaginative plot, and compelling characters into a story that will leave you longing for nostalgic moments. It was single-handedly one of the most frustrating and fascinating novels I have read to date. I would recommend for fans of poetry, historical fiction, and love stories with a twist.

Wow!
This book hooked me from the start. Kept me guessing throughout the book, and had an ending I couldn't have predicted. The tale of Evelyn and Arden was beautiful and heartbreaking. Romantically poetic. The only issue I could have is, I wish there was MORE!!!

Wow oh wow. I don't know how to honestly put this in words. But this book has me in all of my feelings and I absolutely couldn't get enough of it. I cried and laughed so many times during this amazing book. I was so interested in this book when I read the description. Then I read it and I could not put it down.
I did not expect to get so connected to these characters and each life we got to experience even if it was just a little bit of it. I loved how we didn't get everything all at once. It was so interesting to go back in time in a way and get more and more of Evelyn and Arden and each life they lived. You slowly learned about their stories and what they have done and what made their love so strong.
Every time I was on edge wondering if this was the time we got some answers and what would happen. Then came the ending that I was not expecting. I was on the edge of my seat just as much as Evelyn was during this book. I can't recommend this book enough to everyone! It will be a book I am always telling people they should read!
Thank you so much Lura Steven and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to be a part of the ARC team!❤️

“To love was to live, and to live was to die.”
Written in the poetic rhythm of Addie LaRue, Our Infinite Fates embodied emotion, pain and love wrapped into one.
Evelyn remembers her past lives and a man she truly loves that kills her each time before her 18th birthday. She refuses to let that happen this time.
We see their past lives full of wars, different countries and different families but their deep love is still there hovering over their nearing deaths.
“The cruelest fate the gods and stars had ever written: the person I loved most in the world was the person who would ultimately destroy me.”
The end twist was not exactly what I was going for but still made a great story!
Thank you @wednesdaybooks for the copy!
It releases today!

This book was an adventure. We get to see many lives lived throughout the entirety of the book and each of them are tragic and tug on the heart strings. The more I read, the less I was able to put the book down. I do believe the book could use some more editing to make parts flow easier and really draw out the sad scenes, but I still enjoyed this book.

“i love you. i have loved you and i will love you.”
our infinite fates is a unique story about a love that transcends time. beautifully written, it is a poignant exploration of what it means to love, to endure and to hope.
where i think this book excels is in its depiction of the fmc, evelyn. across all of her lifetimes, she loves wholeheartedly despite knowing her life will be short lived. facing unimaginable hardships throughout the centuries, her endless optimism and hope is a testament to her strength of character. she easily retains her humanity and empathy in a situation where it would be so easy to lose.
i also thoroughly enjoyed the world building in this story, the multiple timelines and the idea that souls aren’t confined to a certain gender or race. what a lovely thought that souls who are fundamentally linked will find each other in every lifetime despite any societal barriers or social constructs.
while steven’s manages to write a compelling tale, i felt there was something fundamentally lacking between evelyn and arden’s relationship. they have this love that transcends time, but i don’t believe we explore their history enough to feel 100% invested in the outcome of their relationship. was i still rooting for them? absolutely, but i think i would have had a much stronger emotional reaction had we spent more time in their past, exploring their chemistry and the origins of their love.
overall, i still had a lovely time with this book and would recommend that anyone give it a go 🫶🏼
thank you to netgalley and the publisher for providing this arc in exchange for an honest review ✨

“I want you to know that wherever we are next, my heart will be with you. It might not know it’s with you, but hearts have their ways. Every atrium, every ventricle, every vein & artery will beat for you. Even if my mind has lost you. Because you are in the very fabric of me, all right? You are me, & I am you. And our love is stronger than anything.”

All Evelyn knows is reincarnation. Through the years of love & loss, she has been born & lived thousands of lives, always as a different person.
In every life, Arden finds her. And in every life, he kills her.
She feels an unexplained tug & an immense love for him. She remembers flashes of past lives but has never remembered why this has become their fate.
But when Arden finally gives Evelyn the details of the beginning of their journey, she decides to change their fate, no matter the cost.
What to expect:
📖 Multiple timelines
📆 Reincarnation
📖 Soulmates
📆 Enemies to lovers
📖 Love & loss
What an incredible story… How powerful is it that love can conquer years, decades, centuries? This book was so beautifully written, leaving me in tears. This book will definitely be one of those books that engraves itself into my brain forever.

I was really excited for this book and the set up and tension. It became really repetitive and I felt underwhelmed by the twists and conclusion. I just don't think this one was for me!

"I love you, I have loved you, and I will always love you."
I have not felt this way about a book in a very long time. This felt reminiscent of The Song of Achilles and The Invisible Life of Addie Larue. I heavily enjoyed Addie Larue, but The Song of Achilles is my favorite book every. This novel gave me the same feelings I got while reading The Song of Achilles, which has happened very rarely since I read it several years ago.
Our Infinite Fates tackles the ideas of life, death, and rebirth. It handles reincarnation and soulmates in such a beautiful yet heartbreaking way. This touched my heart and soul in a way I honestly didn't expect. I loved every second of this, you could not tear my kindle out of my hands. I was taking it to classes, reading while waiting in lines, reading at any chance I could. I just wanted to know more and more about Evelyn and Arden’s story. I wanted to know the “why,” I wanted every second with them that I possibly could get.
I honestly don’t think I will ever find another book like this. It is probably my second favorite book ever now. It’s funny when books that break your heart become your favorite. Evelyn and Arden are my babies and I will never forget them.
Huge thanks to NetGalley and Wednesday Books for a digital ARC of Our Infinite Fates!!

“I love you, and I have loved you, and I will love you.”
I adored this story. It was beautifully written (I highlighted so many gorgeous quotes) and a wonderfully story of enduring love.
I loved how the story was told, and the mystery of their existence is unfolded. It goes back and forth between their current life and their past ones going back in time, which was a fun way to see things they had alluded to. It was also a ton of fun to see glimpses of these past lives in all sorts of places and time periods.
The characters were lovely, and they contrasted so nicely with each other, especially in how they approached love and pain. The way Evelyn loved so fiercely and deeply was amazing.
I absolutely recommend this book, it was beautiful.
Thanks to the author and publisher for the copy.

OH NO! I am so bummed about not really enjoying this story. I loved the concept and the way the story could have unfolded so much better. The back and forth was so choppy that it kept jarring me out of the story. I also wish that we got a little bit more of the romance in the past lives to help us understand the yearning, the devotion, the love they have shared for 1,000 years. The ending really ramped up a lot of things but the reveal wasn't shocking or anything that makes your jaw hit the floor.
I wanted to love this so much more than I did!

I want to thank NetGalley and the publisher for granting me an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I guess today is the official release date for the book, and I'm glad because I just finished it this morning. I was intrigued by the description and went in with moderate expectations because if I'm requesting a book, I expect it to be decent. And this book was. It was decent.
Branwen Blythe has died over a hundred times before reaching her eighteenth birthday. She has lived across history as a constantly reincarnating soul called Evelyn, but in present day Wales, Branwen is trying to help her sister Gracie fight cancer by donating her bone marrow. The only problem is, as her birthday draws near, she knows that Arden, the soul that always finds her and tries to kill her, will do so again. And that might leave Branwen without the chance to save her sister's life.
Evelyn and Arden are tied to one another, and they always die by the other's hand. They have fallen in love in almost every incarnation, and although their history blurs together for Evelyn, Arden remembers everything. But he keeps a lot of it to himself. Evelyn doesn't know why he has to kill her, and Arden won't tell her. Not until it makes sense for the plot.
This book fell a bit short of its perceived potential for me. I saw a lot of opportunity to truly sell the love between Evelyn and Arden, but there wasn't much to go on besides the angst of their past experiences and their meta-physical tether. I hoped to fall in love with both characters, but it was difficult to do. I think the character I liked most was Ceri, who was only present for a few chapters. Being privy to a centuries-old lover's quarrel must have been a unique and mind-boggling experience. Anyway.
I liked the alternating chapters, where the past lives of the two lovers shed more light on their relationship. Part of me wondered how much research the author did on each time period and how accurate things were from a historical standpoint, but I don't believe I was meant to think too much about it. Unfortunately, one thing about stretching a love story across so many years is that it becomes difficult for me to suspend my disbelief that Evelyn didn't try restraining Arden more frequently. It becomes a little clearer toward the climax of the story, but it still doesn't sit well with me. Also, am I supposed to believe that being killed a bunch of times by the same soul won't result in seething hatred?
I disliked the prose probably for the same reason other readers liked it. The lyricism, if you can call it that. The poetry sections are hailed as beautiful pieces of literature, but frankly I chuckled whenever Evelyn was awestruck by Arden's writing. A lot of Evelyn's repeated internal conflicts and revelations about what it is to love and live and die and sacrifice were drawn out and I felt beaten over the head with it all. There were paragraphs I skimmed because of this, which saddens me because I want to like a book enough to read every last word.
I gave this novel 3 stars because of the above grievances, but also because I was interested in the ending and how the author was going to resolve the conflict. I felt there was enough substance in the story to keep me going. Part of me was hoping to see Evelyn and Arden truly fall in love, but their decision to change their fate was quite sudden and not really brought on by a different shade or essence to their present-day love. I was seeking a reason for their present incarnations to be different and willing to fight, but it was essentially a culmination of everything in their past that led to the twist.
I keep pointing out stuff I didn't really like, even though I'm trying to sandwich things here. I admired Evelyn's key strengths, and I felt Branwen was a good choice for point of view. Ultimately I don't regret reading this book, and I enjoyed it enough to read it all the way through (with some skimming, remember). I feel that this makes 3 stars a very understandable rating.
I liked it, but not terribly.

This book was different from anything I have read. I feel like I read ten stories not just one. The flashbacks to previous lives were like short stories inside the bigger novel. I really enjoyed the novel and the ending took me by surprise. I just needed more romance between Evelyn and Arden.

I slogged through all that back and forth for this?? I was so excited by the premise here, and it started well - but it very quickly became clear that this was just going to be a series of snapshots of the two of them killing each other for thousands of years, interspersed with attempts to avoid said killing. Over and over and over again. Until you hit the Underrealm, and the explanation, and then I was even more annoyed.
I'm in the small but vocal minority of people who struggled with this one. It is supposed to be a great love story yet I never saw it. I never connected to the characters. They never seemed to grow or develop, nor did their relationship. We were plunked in the middle of their story and asked to go through countless iterations before finally reaching the end. I did not find it magical and I did not particularly enjoy the writing. This one was just not a good fit for me at all...

I just loved this book.
It is somewhat the usual "insta love" "fated mates" type of book, which I love for pure escape.
But this has a different twist! Can you imagine if you were destined to kill your soulmate every year before your 18th birthday? Over and over again for centuries? and what if your soulmate wont tell you everything, because the knowing is actually worse?
I may or may not have actually teared up while reading this. I was totally sucked in and truly enjoyed the story. the writing and the characters. I will immediately look for more books by this author. .

I knew I was going to love this after looking at its cover! and I was not disappointed once I started to read it. Evelyn and arden may have become my new favorite book couple. I devoured this one in less than 2 days. I highly recommend!!

“I love you, and I have loved you, and I will love you.”
This book was breathtakingly beautiful. Evelyn and Arden are soulmates and star crossed lovers who are fated to meet in every life and doomed to kill each other before they both turn 18. The storyline is compelling, elegant, and heartbreaking as we shift between present day and the multitude of lifetimes Evelyn and Arden have lived before. It was raw, vulnerable, romantic, and mesmerizing. I was lucky enough to receive an advanced listener’s copy as well as an advanced reader’s copy, and I highly recommend listening to the audiobook. Sofia Oxenham does an amazing job voicing Evelyn, and truly brings this heartwrenching story to life. Add this to your TBR immediately!
