I absolutely loved the unique premise of this book. The idea of Evelyn and Arden's endless cycle of love and loss completely captivated me, pulling me into their tragically beautiful story. I found the jumping timelines confusing at time, but the emotional element of their relationship kept me hooked. I found myself really invested in their journey, as they found each other again and again only to be tragically torn apart. The glimpses into their various lives was so fascinating and unique. I loved how their love transcended time, race, and sexuality. Laura created a rich and immersive experience. However, I did feel like the ending was rushed and predictable, which left me slightly disappointed since the rest of the story felt like it was leading up to something amazing. Regardless, this is definitely one of the most memorable books I’ve read lately and I would gladly check out Laura Steven's other books.

My thoughts- I was sold on this because it was compared to Addie Larue (one of my faves ever!) but I was a bit let down. The premise was intriguing enough and the twist was fun but this one dragged SO much. It was unnecessarily wrong yet lacked detail in why she would want to stay in this timeline specifically? I just didn’t quite feel connected with the characters in this one, which is really unfortunate because I so wanted to love it. 😕 thank you @macmillian and @netgalley for the advanced copy!

Summary- Evelyn can remember all her past lives. She can also remember that in every single one, she’s been murdered before her eighteenth birthday by Arden, a supernatural being linked to her soul. The problem is that she’s quite fond of the life she’s in now, and her little sister needs her in order to stay alive. If Evelyn wants to save her sister, she’ll have to find the centuries-old devil who hunts her through each life before they find her first, figure out why she’s being hunted and finally break their curse, and try not to fall in love . . . again.

QOTD- any fun plan for the weekend ?! I have a 4 day weekend I’m hoping to get my veggie garden going

absolutely loved this story and watching the MCs fall in love over and over again. I loved loved how the gender pairings changed throughout the book along with races, identities, etc.
I did not have ANY idea where this book was going with the plot and I wish that there were little more breadcrumbing and set up throughout for the big reveal.

This is a tough one to review—and probably a case of “it’s not you [the book], it’s me”. I read about 17% before I decided to put it down and come back to it. I was in a weird headspace, couldn’t get into it, and wanted to give it a fair shot. I picked it up again about a month later and got to around 50% before deciding this might just not be for me.
“They've loved each other in a thousand lifetimes. They've killed each other in every one.”
The premise of this immediately caught my interest. The idea of two people destined to fall in love in every lifetime but fated to be each others’ undoing—yes, please! But something was missing for me.
The pacing was slow and the story itself wasn’t engaging enough to hold my focus. Maybe the second half is better but 🤷♀️…
I wasn’t sold on the MCs everlasting love for each other. And while it might be explored more in the latter half of the book, I just didn’t see how or why they came to love each other so intensely.
I was reminded vaguely of A Witch in Time by Constance Sayers, which follows a woman reborn across multiple lifetimes, always doomed to the same fate. But something A Witch in Time did well that I felt was missing in Our Infinite Fates was giving depth to the past timelines and truly immersing the reader in each historical period and allowing a deeper understanding of the characters and their roles.
The chapters set in past lifetimes didn’t feel like they added much to the story. I felt that they either needed to be longer, to allow for a stronger emotional connection with the characters, or reduced and integrated into the present timeline (and been just as impactful). As they were, they felt repetitive and inconsequential.
I could feel the intention for this to be a deeply moving and emotional story, and I could even see it being a 3-star read if I finished it. But ultimately, I just didn’t feel connected to the characters or invested enough to keep going. So sad this wasn’t a win for me because look at that stunning cover 😩
Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for providing this book for review consideration.

This is one of the best books I’ve read in a while! It was a unique and well executed premise with great character development. I personally think that dual timeline books are hit or miss- with the only determining factor being how well it was executed. This book exceeded my expectations with the dual timeline, and every other way. I will be recommending this book to my book club this upcoming month!

I am absolutely obsessed with Our Infinite Fates! This book is an emotional, breathtaking masterpiece that left me completely awestruck. From the very first page, I was drawn into its vivid world and couldn’t put it down until the very end.
One of the most incredible things the author did was create characters who feel so real and relatable. Their hopes, their struggles, their growth — every bit of it felt authentic and deeply moving. The relationships were beautifully developed, and the dialogue was sharp, heartfelt, and often so poignant it made my heart ache.
The storytelling in Our Infinite Fates is pure magic. The pacing was perfect — a blend of high-stakes moments and quiet, introspective scenes that gave the narrative so much depth. The twists were unexpected yet felt completely earned, and the emotional weight of those moments hit hard.
The world-building? Absolutely stunning. The author crafted a setting so immersive and detailed, I felt like I was living in it. Every description was lush and vivid, making the environments feel like characters of their own. And the themes — fate, choice, love, and sacrifice — were explored with so much nuance and grace.
I also have to mention the prose — lyrical, evocative, and so beautifully written. There were so many lines I found myself rereading just to savor the beauty of the words. It’s the kind of writing that stays with you long after the last page.
If you’re looking for a book that will sweep you off your feet and stay in your heart forever, Our Infinite Fates is it. This is storytelling at its finest, and I can’t recommend it enough.

Beautifully written. I had so many tears. So many feelings and emotions.
"I love you, I have loved you, and I will love you"
Who could ever think a YA book could be this good and grip your heart in vise this tight? I finished it and wanted to read it again.
A curse to love and for her die in every lifetime by the hand of her love??!! What is there not to love about that storyline??
Arden-so much to love about him. Once you get to know him...his words and the things he says, you fall in love with him
And Evelyn. The poor girl, killed in every lifetime and then finds herself needing to save her little sister in this lifetime.
I loved this book SO MUCH....as you can tell by my 12 different versions that Ive collected on my shelf! Laura created a very unique story and beautifullly wrote it. It really pulls you in and makes you feel it so deeply that it hurts.

It was a good book, simply felt like we're going in circles. Fated to kill everytime was a very unique plot and I loved it. I feel as though there could have been more to give and more to their stories but that might be because of the circling fate. Loved the book.

This just wasn't my cup of tea! The writing, to be clear, was rich, lyrical and pretty gorgeous - but despite having souls over 1000-years-old, the characters and their connection really fell flat for me. While it makes sense in theory to have flashbacks to the different lives of our main characters, I didn't find that they helped add any real depth. Unfortunately, a forgettable read for me though I'll definitely keep my eyes peeled for future work by the author - her writing was genuinely lovely!

this book. THIS. BOOK. oh gosh this review is gonna be a long one; i loved every second of this book. it was so beautifully heart wrenching and those type of books always find a place in my heart.
before i read this, i’d see the authors posts every now and then and would think, ‘wow this sounds like it’s gonna hurt!’ and oh did it hurt in such a beautiful way. the plot of this is so utterly gripping and impossible to put down.
we follow our main character, evelyn, who pretty much knows and much as we do! finding things out as we read along gives that feeling of want to keep turning the pages and i loved every second of it! the questions, the theories; having a book pull these thoughts out of my head is one of my favorite things about being a reader!! i was so utterly immersed in this story and couldn’t wait to reach the end while at the same time, i didn’t want it to end!!! it was such a lovely reading experience <3

When you find you get killed by your love in every life, it definitely piques anyone's interest to identify why behind this killings? But the author again manages it to be so romantic and now that Evelyn wants to survive this life to help her sister but is it really in her hands? I liked their lives in each reincarnation and how interesting each times are as well. Amazing concept and totally poetic!

Might be my new favorite book? This was EVERYTHING i wanted and more. Devastatingly romantic, so many fascinating settings and time periods, a story that kept me guessing until the very end. Truly, obsessed!

You will like Our Infinite Fates by Laura Steven if you enjoyed The Invisible Life of Addie Larue. It is a similar realm of storyline. This book was enjoyable. Evelyn is linked to some kind of supernatural being and she is murdered in each life before her 18th birthday. She likes her life now, so how will she stay?

From the moment I picked up this book I knew I was going to love it. The concept of this book was so unique and from the first chapter you are sucked in and intrigued by this beautiful story. I love books like these, with unique stories. Something different than we see everyday. Books like these are the ones that I can't put down even when I put them down. If I am not reading it, I am thinking of it.
But something that I loved more than the concept was the writing. Laura writing for this book was something magical, ethereal and poetical. The way how she described their love through the main character voice was so beautiful. There were so many contenders for the best quote for this book.
But after loving these two components of this book, I have decided to only give this book 4 stars for the reason that the plot needed more. The concept of this book was that they loved each other and found each other in each life, but it felt more like that was what I was told to believe that and not what I was shown. The more I read the more disappointed I got. Evelyn talked about how beautiful and transcendent their love for each other is, but I was not shown it. When I was supposed to be in love with their story and was just seeing red flags. Quoting from Evelyn in the book "I was trapped in an abuse cycle, suffering from Stockholm syndrome, romanticizing violence-none of it particularly flattering, nor particularly accurate." Reading this actually brought me hope, because I felt that the author was aware of the feeling she was provoking and then she would bring us back. But she tried and failed. It was heartbreaking to learn what actually happened but it didn't changed my heart or my mind. I think that if he would have shown just a drop of love, It would have made all the difference.
Overall, this was a good story with sad and beautiful moments. I can't wait to read other books by Laura Steven (I already have Silvercloak preordered). Thank you NetGalley an Wednesday books for an ARC of this book

Thank you Wednesday Books for sending me an ARC via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review!

I received Our Infinite Fates from NetGalley but I did not get a chance to read it before publishing. I try my hardest to get reviews in before publishing but life happens. I was so happy to see everyone enjoying it! What can I say about this book that hasn’t been said yet? I was immediately intrigued by the concept and the plot exceeded my expectations. I loved the flashbacks to the past. It created so much depth for the characters. I throughly enjoyed the reveal of their curse. It was unpredictable and tied everything together. As for the characters themselves, Evelyn and Arden are complex and frustrating and absolutely loveable. There are so many beautiful editions now, I can’t decide which one to buy for myself.
Thank you to NetGalley, Laura Steven, and the publisher for providing me with an advanced reader copy.

Thank you to SMP and NetGalley for the ARC of this book. All opinions are my own.
Romantasy is here to stay and I think this solidified Laura’s spot in that. I loved this one! I wish I had better words but I am trying to find them. It was that good. I can’t wait for book two!

This was such a unique and refreshing take on soul mates, I absolutely loved the concept. The writing was beautiful and poetic but the time jumps and flashbacks felt jumbled and took me out of the story.

I am absolutely obsessed with this book. It was
so sad, beautiful, tragic (yes like the Taylor swift song). I loved the gender fluidity and how the two main characters love for each other didn't discriminate based on what bodies they were reincarnated into. It made it all the more beautiful. The last chapter was a perfect wrap up to Evelyn and Arden's story.
Oh to be loved through the centuries and always have that invisible string leading you right to your soulmate.
I will add there were a few moments I got a little confused and had to go back and reread, but I believe that’s mostly due to the changing timelines, and changing of names. The prose is extremely beautiful, and everything has a deeper meaning.
I know this is technically YA, but honestly this should be read by everyone! It’s so entirely beautiful.

This book has delicate prose, and does not read as a YA - with the FMC being "technically" decades old if you add up the lives she's lived and remembered - it feels more new adult. I really enjoyed the atmospheric writing and the thought/details
