Thank you to NetGalley and Wednesday Books for an eARC in exchange for an honest review!
Wow, what an incredible story. Lauren Steven’s new book is unlike anything else I’ve read, and if the premise is at all interesting to you, you need to pick it up.
This story follows two people who have been reincarnated countless times, and though they love each other, they always kill each other before their eighteenth birthday. This life, though, Evelyn must stay alive to donate vital bone marrow to her little sister, and she will do anything it takes to stay alive until then.
Sometimes with YA fantasy it can feel like you’re reading a new iteration of the same story over and over again, and while that’s not a bad thing, this story is incredible in its uniqueness. The premise promises a story that you have not seen before, and this book delivers. Additionally, Steven does an amazing job of making you feel connected to these characters and their stories, and she does a wonderful job of making a story spanning a thousand years feel like nothing was left out but nothing was unnecessarily added.
Overall, the love story was beautiful, and I was not expecting the twists in this book at all! I highly recommended to anyone who reads a lot of fantasy books and wants a truly new and beautiful story.

i gotta admit, this was better than i expected. it's fast-paced and i didn't wanna put it down. i loved reading about their past lives; it was more interesting to me than their current lives. i also love that the author didn't restrain them both to being a male and female in all their lives--they both were both genders. while i can't speak for historical accuracy, it was enjoyable to get such different settings when we did go back into the past. they were flourished or well-rounded necessarily (since we don't spend a lot of time in each) but the variety alone was appealing. the whole good vs evil bit and how the conclusion came about was kinda whatever, big meh for me though. it was still an enjoyable read nonetheless.
thank you to netgalley and st. martin's press for the eARC!

Wow, this was such an amazing reading experience! There are definitely strong Addie LaRue themes, but overall it is a different book and it’s worth the read! I loved how the main character contemplates whether loving anyone is worth it. I also loved the structure of the novel, we get to travel back through time and through all their lives and see all the places they’ve lived. It’s not spicy, but there is a lot of romantic tension and forbidden love making for an entertaining read.

I really don't know how to start with this book. I was really excited to read it, and I was so lucky to get my hands on both the eARC and the audiobook, which made it easier for me to get into this story (I'm a huge fan of mixing audiobook and ebook, because I don't have to stop when I have things to physically do...). And I really enjoyed the narration, it really helped me get back into the book when I had to stop, or when I was taken out of the story by the time jumps.
I think I'm struggling because I was so excited for this book, and it sadly didn't live up to what I had created in my mind. And I think the main issue for me was that the timeline was not linear, and we jump back and forth between the present and the past lives. And while I think it is a really intriguing and beautiful story, I found myself struggling with staying into the story. It is a me thing, I personally prefer to get lost into a story and the back and forth in the timeline makes it harder to get lost in the flow.
Other than that, I think it was still a lovely story, I did wish we saw more of the love between Evelyn and Arden, because it felt like we were more told than show their love story throughout their many lives. I do think that many readers will love this book, especially if you don't struggle like me with non-chronological books. And I will definitely

"I love you...And I have loved you. And I will love you."
If this cold dead heart could feel, I would be crying. I absolutely loved this book. It was one of the sweetest YA romances I have read in a while.
Arden and Evelyn are fated to love each other and kill each other in every lifetime. Arden knows why but Evelyn is in the dark. They are never allowed to make it to their 18th birthday. Now, in Evelyn's current timeline, she has a sister who needs her bone marrow to save her life. So Evelyn has to convince Arden to let her live long enough to do that and try to escape her fate.
I cannot imagine the research involved in the writing of this book. There are various flashbacks and all are set in different time periods and different countries. Sometimes I would be so absorbed into the current timeline I would get frustrated when I saw the next chapter was in the past. However, she always made the chapters set in the past so interesting that I would immediately change my mind. I saw some critiques that it was repetitive but I disagree since it was always a different time and place.
I thought the romance was written very well. I could feel Evelyn's frustration in loving someone that she knew was going to hurt her. She has been tethered to him for 1000s of year so she cannot help but feel comfort in him.
I really enjoyed this and would definitely read more work by this author. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC. This is my honest opinion.

This book was truly fascinating! I was on the edge of my seat the entire read. It follows a story of two soulmates destined to kill each other in each lifetime before they turn 18.
A story of love, longing, and heartache. The author did a great job capturing the attention of the reader the whole way through.

I powered through this book in 2 days. It is such a beautiful story. I love the flashbacks to the past lives. I enjoyed the mystery of why Evelyn had to die before her 18th birthday. This story is one I will think of in the future and will be recommending it.

Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for providing the ARC.
The premise of this book is so interesting and I felt like Laura Steven executed it amazingly well for how complicated a reincarnation story could get. I loved the characters and their stories, as well as the exploration of gender fluidity as Evelyn and Arden are reincarnated over and over. You get these amazing snippets from their past lives and see how much they loved each other while also being each other's tormenters.
The prose in this book is beautiful and evocative. It grabbed me immediately and I was drawn into this amazing story. If you're like me who cries at the drop of a hat, you'll want to bring tissues.

(around 4.75🌟 for the thing I’ll explain in my review ) but ♾️🌟 in my heart!the writing was beautiful and lyrical and I loved the couple so so much. I felt like I shared traits with both of them and it made my heart ache. the story was so emotional and had me feeling like someone was repeatedly stabbing me tbh. The way that they talked about certain subjects and the bodies they ended up in was so cool. I really enjoyed. the reason why it’s not 5 🌟 for me is because I felt like the ending was a bit rushed and felt a little anticlimactic in comparison to all the build up. I did love seeing the origin story and somewhat bittersweet ending. I will definitely be reading more books by this author!

I'm not typically drawn to love stories with such young characters, but this book was well paced, interesting and had a narrative that kept me guessing. It's going to do well.

where do i even begin. I savoured every single word.
This is a one-of-a-kind novel that will stick with me for a long time. I have not read a book quite like this which is so refreshing. firstly, the writing???? unbelievably captivating, brimming with romance and nostalgia, while also endless moments of yearning undertones. I went into this one blind after seeing a few early raving reviews and im so glad i did. I was in a constant state of awe and wonder at the worlds) of evelyn and arden. their love is a love story like no other and i am having a hard time even describing it. soulmates doesn't seem enough. i can't wait for this book to fully enter the world. I know evelyn and arden will capture the hearts of many.

I absolutely adored this book. It was not what I was expecting at all! I was really intrigued by the description of the book because it is so unique in this very saturated fantasy/YA world right now. What I appreciated and enjoyed most about this book was the queer identity and sexuality that was incorporated throughout it all. Through each lifetime, these two characters meet only to have Arden kill her before they turn 18. We see this repeated throughout many, many of their lifetimes. Each lifetime was unique and special and had something so beautiful that kept me hooked. Mostly, it was the many times the two characters were of the same sex or identified as the same gender. It was beautiful to really see their love transcend social constructs of gender! There was one point where the two are discussing their bodies and identities and which gender they had preferred to be in. Evelyn did not have a preference but Arden preferred the male form. I cannot explain how valuable that sort of open discussion is in books like these. This does not directly look or seem like a genderqueer friendly book, but it is! The ending was what I was hoping for / expecting. The whole unravelling of the reason behind the murdering was a little convoluted and kind of confusing but still unexpected. So for that, I liked the mystery.

This book had me screaming, crying and breaking in all the best ways. I want to read it again already.
It is unlike anything that i have ever read before. Thank you so much for the arc.

Infinite Fates follows Evelyn & Arden, two souls tethered together that reincarnate through the centuries. They’ve loved each other in each lifetime but somehow, Evelyn always gets killed before her 18th birthday by Arden and she doesn’t know why. Now, she’s grown fond of her life in this present timeline and she has to find a way to survive before Arden finds her.
I loved the plot of this book and the way we go through different timelines of Arden & Evelyn—— especially when they reincarnate to different genders & the hardships they faced in each period of time. I also loved the writing because it was so beautiful (so many highlights were made)
The middle of the book felt a little flat to me. I’m a big fan of multiple timelines but it started getting a little bit repetitive for me especially since every timeline ended in tragedy for Evelyn.
I loved the little plot twist in this story & it really helped to pull me back into the book. However, despite all of the quotes I highlighted, I was still wanting more of Evelyn and Arden’s relationship. I just felt that the ending was a bit rushed with how they resolved everything. I needed a tiny bit more for this to be a 4⭐️ read.
I would still recommend this though for people who love the fated destiny trope! Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC!

I don't even know what to say, 48 hours after finishing this book and I'm still at a loss for words. This is unlike anything I have ever read and I read well over 100 books a year.
Go into this book blind, it's the best way. At the end you'll be asking yourself if soulmates exist, does heaven and hell exist, does unconditional love exist and if so why. You will literally feel the entire spectrum of emotions and you'll question everything you've thought on those topics and more. It's beautiful, it's gut wrenching, it's haunting.

This book was deliciously aching, romantic, existential - I loved it. I first heard about this book because it was inspired by Taylor Swift's "Exile" and it's such a beautiful interpretation of that song. Lovers a reincarnated for a thousand years - destined to fall in love, destined to kill each other in every life. What could be more tragic than that? I love a tragic love story so I knew this one would be right up my alley and it truly did not disappoint. The writing was beautiful, the story was captivating, I am in love with this book! If you love a story of tragic soul-deep yearning, you have to check this one out.

4.5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was such an intriguing concept— beautifully depicting the yearning and angst of each “failed” reincarnation. Well written. Tragic. Love spanning across centuries—different lifetimes, bodies, and names. This was a non-stop read, didn’t want to put the story down.

The story alternates between the past and the present about Arden and Evelyn together in their past lives over the course of a millennium. We see them in past lives all over the world, with different names, different backstories, and different personalities, yet no matter who they are or where they reincarnate, they will always find a way back to each other and kill each other before their eighteenth birthday. The mystery is Evelyn doesn't know why Arden keeps on hunting her down. This is definitely a must read book, I highly recommend it!
Synopsis: Evelyn remembers all her past lives. She also remembers that in every single one, she’s been murdered before her eighteenth birthday by Arden, a supernatural being whose soul―and survival―is tethered to hers. The problem is that she’s quite fond of the life she’s in now, and her little sister needs her for bone marrow transplants in order to stay alive.
Many thanks to #OurInfiniteFates #NetGalley and #StMartinsPress for providing me with an E-ARC of this excellent 5 star must read book!

This was such a beautifully written book. It has you questioning life and its meaning your purpose in all of it. This book was such a perfect read and it stays with your soul.

"Our Infinite Fates" is a beautifully tragic love story told across centuries about 2 people fated to both love and kill each other before they turn 18 in every life.
I'm not going to say any more about the plot, because all I knew going in is what I just said above, and that is honestly the best way to go into this. In my opinion, the less you know the better.
What I will say is that I really enjoyed reading this. Even though I felt immense heartbreak reading about these characters, I also felt the love that they feel for each other beaming through the shadows of heartbreak.
This book has great representation, as the characters reincarnate as different genders each time. When speaking of each other, they use they/them pronouns, and they have conversations about if they feel more comfortable as a man or a woman.
The only reason this isn't a full 5 stars is that I did feel it lagged a bit in the middle, but I did read this in only a couple sittings so it obviously wasn't too slow.
