First I would like to thank @netgalley and @stmartinspress for the ARC of this story, as well as @librofm and @macmillan.audio for the ALC. @laurasteven and @wednesdaybooks hit this one out of the park.
Oh my, Miss Laura Steven, you have completely and truly wrecked me. This book was so gut wrenchingly beautiful, tragically stunning and emotionally jarring. I enjoyed every single minute of this story. This has soothed the ache that The Invisible Life of Addie La Rue has left in my heart for years but not because they’re similar, they’re beautifully similar but wonderfully unique and different.
The tragic story of two souls who find each other and are destined to fall in love life after life over thousands of years.. only to murder each other in every. single. one. It is as tragically romantic as it sounds.
From page one you are pulled right in with the angst and the drama and the questions. Throughout the story you are witnessing different timelines, different people, different circumstances.. but at the core it is these two souls. The message this book sends is so powerful I think everyone should read it. I kept wondering where it was going to go and what was the reason and I didn't expect the outcome. Finished beautifully, I cant wait for my special edition to come so I can reread it immediately.
5 Stars, 10/10, 100% recommend. I'm not sure how else to say it, I LOVED this book.
❤️I love you. And I have loved you. And I will love you. ❤️

4.25⭐️ (rounded up!) this book is for the fans Invisible Life of Addie Larue (V.E. Schwab) and Divine Rivals (not ruthless vows) (Rebecca Ross)!!
i LOVE the themes in this book so much! the writing was extremely beautiful and i can’t wait to get a physical copy so i can annotate it!
i only wish that the book was longer because i would’ve loved to see more of the main characters actually falling in love in every lifetime and more about the beginning of it all with Calliope.
All around i LOVED this and am going to hold these characters so close to my heart for infinite lifetimes!

Thank you NetGalley, author, and publisher for this e-arc.
I was intrigued because this novel perfect for fans of The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue, which I loved. Overall, the writing is beautiful, and the character development was very organically done. The plot very much slow burn, which sometimes I struggled with the pacing within this novel. Personally, I am not a big fan of flashbacks, but this was flashbacks back and forth with other flashbacks. I sometimes got a little exhausted of that flow. Otherwise, I do think it’s a beautiful novel and the ending had me in my feels.

Thank you Netgalley and St. Martin’s Press for the eARC. I was initially drawn to this book when I saw the comparison to The Invisible Life of Addie Larue, and I liked the idea of lovers destined to meet each other in every lifetime.
The book alternates between two different timelines, one being present day and the others their previous lives throughout centuries. The story started out strong for me, and while I think the flashback chapters could have been explained in more depth, I was still invested in the story. I wanted to know how the main characters ended up this way which kept me engaged.
Around the 70% mark things started to go downhill for me. Ultimately I didn't feel like the characters had any chemistry, we kept being told how much they love each other and I just didn't see it. I was also disappointed with the explanation in regards to their connection. I think the story had a lot of potential but unfortunately it fell flat for me.

Thank you NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press | Wednesday Books for the ARC!
I jumped for joy when I got the email that I was approved for this book. I was drawn to the idea of a love so strong that you find each other in every lifetime and I was dying to know why they always killed each other if they loved so true.
This book has a present day main timeline but takes us back in time through multiple lives previously lived throughout. Each chapter that takes us back in time is a little bit farther back until we eventually reach the origin. I love this setup. I feel like we get a small piece every time and eventually the whole story comes together.
I love the way this book is written. I love the story, the way we slowly get answers, I love how it concludes. My biggest issue is that it’s missing the one thing that drew me to the book…love. We are constantly hearing the characters talk about their love and how strong it is, but I never really feel it. We don’t get to see them fall in love and the parts we get aren’t really convincing that they have an earth shattering love. We are basically just told they have this super power level love and that’s that.
Adding to that, there a lot of times where they don’t even love each other and talk about hating each other but are still drawn together. After finishing the book it’s pretty clear the author intended for us to realize their powerful love was destined from their original mortal lives, but it was too short to really grasp it for me.
This is a rather short book and I wish it had been a longer with more in depth understanding of the love shared between them. For that, and that alone, I have a three star rating.

Thank you netgalley for this ARC !
𝙊𝙪𝙧 𝙄𝙣𝙛𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙚 𝙁𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙨 is a fast paced and engaging story that immediately grips you from the very first page. I never would've expected to read it as fast as I did but here we are.
I've always been a sucker for a love story that spans lifetimes and this was exactly that!
a beautiful and moving story about two starcrossed lovers. ❤️🩹
The main focus is definitely the romance in this book, which was exactly what I was signing up for when I started it. I did however feel like ~something~ was missing for me to be fully invested in the romance.. and to actually 'feel' their love.
I mean it was there and it was beautiful but it felt like we only ever got glimpses, which probably was the point, but I just needed more. 😭 But that's really just a me thing.
I fell in love with how the author decided to tell this story and how with each chapter everything started to make more and more sense. I loved the flashbacks of their past lives SO MUCH, definitely my favorite part.
I also LOVED the diversity!! There was a lot of exploration of different countries and cultures and history, it was beautiful! I had not expected that at all going in, so that was a pleasant surprise.
And if you're wondering yes it is VERY queer. 🤍
You could tell that so much research and care went into writing this book and I appreciate that so much.

4.5 rounded up. Highly recommend for fans of VE Schwab!
Our Infinite Fates is an excellent read that spans time and gender. Emphasis on the second one-I love how gender was treated in this book especially in the idea of the soul and reincarnation. My favorite part of the book was honestly the flashbacks between different lives. For people like me who had a problem with Addie LaRue being rather Eurocentric, you will not have this problem here. The author clearly did her research and as a historical fiction girlie I loved reading about Arden and Evelyn in past lives. I loved how even though they were different people in every life, their souls were recognizable.
Also that last reveal/plot twist was such a surprise! I've gotten pretty good at guessing plot twists, but that totally took me by surprise. However, I did dock .5 for the battle at the end which I felt was a little too easy. But nonetheless, I enjoyed the ending and the epilogue was perfect and bittersweet.
Also it was inspired by exile?? I only found that out after I was done but it makes so much sense. (You never gave a warning sign/I gave so many signs)
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for this ARC!

Finished this in a day because I'm obsessed. I need more books like this one!
I was and still am in love with the storyline and the characters, I feel like we had the right amount of time to get to know them (maybe Arden still is a mystery).
Continue reading for minor general spoilers!
The plot twist was great and was perfectly inserted in the story. The finale. That one hurt and healed me at the same time.
Can't wait to read more of the same author!

A masterpiece!Reading Our Infinite Fates was like breathing in a world of endless possibility. Every word felt deliberate, every twist left me gasping for air, and the characters stayed with me long after I closed the book. Laura Steven’s writing is captivating, emotional, and completely immersive—this book took my breath away, and I’m still floating in its magic. All the stars!

Evelyn has lived many past lives, and in each one, Arden kills her before she reaches age eighteen. Arden could be anyone and anywhere, so she has to rediscover who Arden is in each lifetime. This book operates between flashbacks and present day, and from a flashback, she even tries to change her mind, and attempts to ask why. Is it revenge? Arden refuses to tell her, only revealing that they can’t live past eighteen, and that they don’t want to kill her, but is doing it to protect her. What has driven them to this endless, terrible fate? And though Evelyn tries, she can’t remember where her soul began. It’s a tragic cycle of love and loss, with two souls loving each other over hundreds of lifetimes but losing each other in each one.
This is a really easy read and doesn’t feel like a long one, but it does take a bit for anything to really happen. The majority is basically just flashbacks from their previous lives where little bits of information are given but still no concrete answers, mixed with Evelyn in her current lifetime, trying to avoid being murdered by Arden so that she can undergo a stem cell procedure to save her sister. Not much else happens. If you’re looking for a book that’s action packed with no filler at the beginning, this isn’t one of them. Though, I did like the past lives flashbacks.
It’s more or less a cycle of this for the majority of the book, Evelyn begging for answers, Arden refusing to give them, amidst a bunch of flashbacks of one of their past lives every now and again. The concept of the book is great and the desire for an explanation to all of it is what keeps you reading, but aside from this, the majority of the book is an endless cycle of flashbacks and nothing much really happening.
Another thing is, I disliked Arden for most of this book, really until the last 20% or so when the explanation is given, which made it hard for the romance to be convincing for most of this. Because, again, they literally are killing the mc over and over again and you get NO EXPLANATION FOR IT until the very end. Therefore it is hard to like the character until the end when you learn the reasoning behind it all. Arden goes from sweet to cold blooded killer back and forth, almost adopting a different persona, so much that it gives you whiplash. One second they’re sweet and professing their love and the next they’re killing Evelyn AGAIN. Like yes, I understand why they have to detach if they have no choice but to kill the person they love. But it’s hard to like a character when they act so two faced, even knowing their intentions are not evil apparently, as they kill over and over with no explanation. They can say over and over again they’re doing this to save Evelyn but that’s hard to remember when she’s desperately trying to escape them because she wants to live, or when she’s begging them to let her live. It’s hard to like or trust a character like that when you don’t know the explanation behind it all. When you find out it makes sense and Arden becomes likable but by then the book is almost over anyways.
When all is revealed, the explanation behind it was certainly….imaginative. But it was not at all what I was expecting whatsoever, and if I had known the book would’ve gone in this direction, I wouldn’t have requested this arc. It made me uncomfortable. I didn’t like the direction this book took when all is revealed and this just wasn’t my thing. It’s not badly written and Lauren Steven has writing talent, but this book just wasn’t for me. I requested this thinking it was going to be a sweet romance of a love story that transcends time and space, and in a way it was that, but this just wasn’t what I expected or wanted.
Thank you to Netgalley and Wednesday for sending me an advanced copy in return for my honest review.

Oh... oh gosh... wow. yeah, this one was AMAZINg. the storytelling was lyrical, the characters were sweet, the reincarnation idea was a very fun way to spice it up, and the ending... that ending. 5 stars. tysm for thea rc.

"How could the soul fated to kill me be the one to make me feel so alive?"
This book made *me* feel so alive. Evelyn and Arden are bound together across lifetimes—always finding each other, always fated to kill each other before their 18th birthday. In the present day, Evelyn is desperate to escape her destiny and break the curse once and for all. As the story unfolds, we’re transported through their past lives, weaving a breathtaking tale of love, loss, and fate.
At first while reading, I found myself craving more depth in their love story—it felt like they were enemies without fully understanding why they loved each other at all. But as their past lives unraveled, everything clicked into place, making for a truly mesmerizing and deeply emotional read. Laura Steven’s writing is beautifully detailed, pulling me into every scene with vivid imagery and rich emotion. Each moment—whether heartbreaking, breathtaking, or haunting—felt immersive, making it easy to lose myself in Evelyn and Arden’s world.
Thank you SO much to St Martins Press and the lovely author for providing me with this ARC in exchange for my honest thoughts. Although this is my first Steven’s read, it certainly won’t be my last.

"I love you, and I have loved you, and I will love you."
ARC provided by Wednesday Books in exchange for an honest review. Thank you very much!
I'm gutted to say I didn't love Our Infinite Fates as much as I was anticipating — this story, while intriguing, ultimately fell flat for me. I absolutely adore Laura Steven's writing style, her prose is gorgeous and the two characters, Arden and Evelyn, feel real to me. But honestly, I had a bit of issues trying to grasp their relationship. To be completely transparent, I didn't buy their chemistry at all, which is a shame considering this is supposed to focus largely on their epic love story.
I appreciated the chapters exploring all the times they love and end but I don't think there was enough substance in there for me to believe it. The pacing was very slow and steady up until 80% and then the conclusion was a bit anti-climactic.
The whole mystery surrounding why they were destined to love each other and kill each other in every single lifetime hooked me and I kept waiting for a grand reveal only to be left with a disappointing ending.
All my complaints aside, I did enjoy this book and I would definitely look to read more of Laura's works in the future

rating 4.5 ⭐️
this book truly rips your heart out and keeps you guessing the motives throughout which is just so much more painful.;
i thoroughly enjoyed the storyline, following evelyn and arden and seeing their raw interactions with each other in this life and the ones in the past… :’) arden is such a complex character that it keeps you guessing why he does what he does and following evelyn’s true strength of humanity was such a beautiful journey. this book is the true testament to what love is, was, and could be.
such a great book with such a great ending🤍

This book was so unique and interesting. I’ve never read anything like it.
It kept me engaged start to finish. The ending was a WILD ride. I had complete whiplash!
Without giving it away, I did find the “why” behind everything a bit unfulfilling.
Overall, this was a fun read and I enjoyed it!

3⭐️
This book had such a promising premise—timeless love, reincarnation, and an exploration of fate. On paper, it sounded like everything I love in a novel. Unfortunately, while the concept was rich with potential, the execution didn’t quite live up to the promise.
The prose is undeniably beautiful, with lush, poetic descriptions that fully immerse you in the setting. The author’s ability to weave past and present timelines was intriguing, and I appreciated the diversity in how the characters were portrayed across different lifetimes. However, the narrative itself felt repetitive, and the flashbacks—while crucial to the story—often slowed down the pacing to the point of frustration. It felt like the plot was treading water, leaving me eager for forward momentum that came far too late.
Evelyn’s character was deeply compelling, and her love for Arden felt multidimensional and genuine. On the other hand, Arden’s side of the romance fell flat for me. I struggled to believe in their love because we’re told how much they care for each other, but we rarely see the growth or tension that makes such connections believable. Without that emotional depth, the central relationship didn’t carry the weight it should have.

Reincarnated lovers is one of my favorite tropes but it is rarely done well in books, Our Infinite Fates though? I'm obsessed!! It's got very thing I wanted from Addie LaRue, the diversity a 1000 years of reincarnation should have: global, racial, gender and sexual orientation.
I loved seeing all of the POV character's families. How much love they had for every one of them. But most of all for their love interest. I inhaled this book because I needed to find out why they kept killing each other even though they loved one another.
The only thing is the resolution was not as satisfying as I wanted. It was more fun about reading about the character when they couldn't remember everything than what happened after they found out the truth.
Thank you to NetGalley and Wednesday books for the eARC.

Thank you NetGalley for this ARC!
Wow. I am at a loss for words.
All I knew going into this book was that our love interests were intertwined by fate, in some way, and forced to kill one another in their infinite lifetimes'. My brain could not wrap any idea around how that would look- but it was done so interestingly and poetically without being confusing.
The book follows their "current" life, while mixing in chapters of past lives- it really made the pace flow for me.
I sat down to start this and did not put it down until it was over. I had to know why this was happening, and there were no lulls or points of boredom to keep me from doing so.
It was the perfect length- it did not draw out, it did not have fluff, and nothing felt rushed.
I liked our characters, the lore, the diversity, the familial love- I really have no complaints.
There was no predicting that ending... not a chance... and I loved that.
It was easy enough to follow that I could breeze through it, interesting enough to keep me glued to the pages, I grew attached to the characters, and felt so many things.

“The cruelest fate the gods and stars had ever written: the person I loved most in the world was the person who would ultimately destroy me.”
4⭐️ WOW. THIS BOOK. My heart is shattered, my emotions are all over the place, and I am forever obsessed—but I won’t lie, the repetitiveness did get to me. Each lifetime circling back to the same memories with Arden started to drag, and at times, I found myself wanting the story to push forward instead of rehashing the past. That said, the concept??? STUNNING. The idea that love could transcend anything—any time, any place, any version of themselves—was so gut-wrenchingly beautiful. It gave me multiverse energy in the best way, like no matter what, these two would always, always find each other. And let me tell you, this book will TEAR YOUR HEART OUT and then, in the very next sentence, make you believe in soulmates all over again.
BUT. THE ENDING. I don’t know… it just didn’t quite land for me. After such a huge emotional build-up, it felt far-fetched and like it strayed from the heart of the story. I wanted something bigger—or at least something that fit better with the journey we had just taken. Instead, it left me feeling a little underwhelmed, like the book had been leading me somewhere only to take a last-minute detour. The FMC and MMC??? Still perfection. They’re so likable yet completely at odds with every other love story I’ve ever read—they don’t follow the rules, they rewrite them. Every version of their love is messy, painful, and breathtakingly beautiful, and despite the slow moments and the ending not quite hitting the mark, I couldn’t get enough.
Many thanks to NetGalley for providing me with a digital review copy of this unreal book in exchange for my honest thoughts, I really appreciate it!

The premise of this book is what hooked me: two souls bound by love across lifetimes, yet cursed to destroy each other every time. The writings in this is poetic and I appreciated the exploration of love, loss, and the beauty and fear of being alive.
However, I found myself struggling to really connect to the characters or get invested in their love story and found the back and forth chapters to take away from the present.
I still enjoyed it and look forward to reading more from this author!
Thank you NetGalley and St. Martin’s press for an earc in exchange for my honest review.
