This book is like a comic lovers dream. Written by the people around him and the man himself, we witness what life is like for Steve Rogers. I really enjoyed seeing war through his eyes and learning more about him/his experiences from those who love him. Definitely one for Marvel fans!
Steve Rogers have always been the real superhero. The way he emerged as a hero was in itself the real power to a man rather than usage of any costume base or iron suit based heroes. For him costume and weapon shield is just a improvisation.
This is a nice way that author chose to explain about all the characters by interviewing Captain America. Though it was so tiresome to read with pace but still the content was so good to read about.
Using this pattern of interview, helped in comprehending few very non uncomplicated comic books or their part stories and hence let readers to know the mentioned characters in a better way. Civil War and Steve's patriotism was epitome and his bonding with Bucky Barnes is beyond just to take oath of.
For all the lovers of CAP. one must go through this and they get to know some unprecedented facts.
sometimes i donut know what to recommend if you want a superheroes thematic but the parents don't want a comic. I think this book is perfect for this and I will have copies of this. If you are a marvel fun and want some information this series is perfecto. Super recommended!!
Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this eARC.

In my opinion, this is a perfect book for fans of comics, and unfortunately, I adore the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and I don't know much about comics. The format of the story is an interview with Steve Rogers, i.e. Captain America. In addition, there are various "photos" (arts), newspaper clippings, and files from the archives about his (and the Avengers') life. The format is really cool, and I'd like to read something like that, but again, unfortunately, it's just not for me, because I don't know enough about the history of comic Steve, so I wasn't interested in reading this book.
It was a lot to read. It was quite overwhelming. For the die hard Marvel fan, I’m sure they would love it. It just wasn’t much for me.
I picked up this book because I like Captain America, but I’ve never gone back to the really early issues. In this book Steve Rogers gives an interview about his life and career. It highlights his history.
This book is essentially a prose novel interspersed with some pictures to add impact to the prose passages.
While overall, it was interesting. Considering the page count, though, it may have been a little long in parts.
I will keep an eye out for more installments of the Declassified series.
I guess I didn't read the description enough to realize this read more like a short novel. I enjoyed the interview style and it definitely felt like a nostalgia trip reading an interview that described so many of the events that you read about in the comics. I enjoyed the pictures pulled from comics that were placed through out. There were some responses that made me laugh even. The book is definitely fun if you're a huge Captain America fan. I do admit that I started to get bored about half way through though.
I picked this up because I’m a huge fan of the Captain American character from Marvel but I know almost nothing about his character from the comics. I felt like this was a deficiency that needed to be remedied but reading the actual comics is super daunting since there are so many of them. When I saw this I figured it would give me a good background and explanation of him from the comics and I was right. This goes deep into his comic history including his own backstory, his history with the Avengers, and many plot points that happen with him through the comics that he is in. I learned a ton of information that I didn’t know before I read this. It’s well organized and easily understood. Some of it was a bit dry for me but overall I think this is a good source for people that are trying to learn more about the character. Recommend for all comic fans.

(NOTE: I HAVE NOT FINISHED THIS BOOK YET BUT I AM CONFIDENT IN WHAT I HAVE READ TO GIVE A TRUTHFUL REVIEW)
The Declassified series doesn't fail and strikes once again to deliver a great moment of nostalgia and love for Steve Rogers.
I do feel quite similar to how I felt reading the other two books of this series, long chapters made it a bit hard to keep up and take a break but the visual cues from documents, photos, transcripts, etc. did make everything much more interesting to analise and gain a new perspective over. Like before, this book series is genuinely perfect for all Marvel fans, whether from the comics or the MCU
I am so so very happy that I got to read this and while I haven't finished yet, I cannot wait to get to the end!
Thank you again for the opportunity!
Signing off,

Very cool insight into Captain America and his back story. Not what I expected at all but still very highly recommended. This is not a graphic novel, rather a written interview between the author and Captain America.
Captain America; Steve Rogers Declassified joins the previous Iron Man and Black Panther volumes in showcasing Steve Rogers as part of a in-universe look at the him as told through various documents. The result is a fun and enjoyable, as well as informative look into the character and I would certainly hand it to anyone who wanted to know more about the Steve Rogers and Captain America corner of the Marvel universe.
Special Thanks to BenBella Books, Smart Pop and Netgalley for the digital ARC. This was given to me for an honest review.
Wow, Captain America really went through a lot, huh?
Comic book characters have long lives and Steve Rogers is no exception. This book tells his story but in his own words. It mostly focuses on the interview where Steve goes over the most important moments of his life, but there are also mission reports from other Avengers members and even a few "photos".
The photos and reports made a nice break from the text that contained a lot of information. I'm interested in how this book looks in physical form. It would be great if some things were put in envelope pasted into the book.
Using the interview format also helped with comprehending some of the more complicated comic book stories and made me understand the character better. I especially liked the fragments about Civil War and Steve's understanding of patriotism and what his mantle means to him.
I think this book could be a great gift for old and new fans alike. Old ones can revisit old stories with added emotional context.
And new fans can learn more about the character without having to go through years of comic books.
This book is essentially a short novel structured like an interview, with various comic panels thrown in for context or clarity. It was fun, though the writing felt low quality. I'm not sure if this was meant to inform new Captain America fans or to recap info for the older Captain America fans.
As a fan of Captain America, I requested this book as soon as I saw it on the Netgalley page. I am the type to read fanfiction of my favorite characters, Cap included. This book felt lower quality than the fanfiction I read on AO3 and more like Wattpad-esque fanfiction. I've even read Cap fanfiction where he does interviews, which is the same premise as this. I liked those better, especially since the Steve Rogers character in those stories feels life-like which is unlike this official iteration of Rogers. However, this book stays more true to the comic storyline than fan creations, which I respect since there are almost 100 years of Captain America comics.
Overall, I thought it was enjoyable but had an artificial vibe.
