Not my usual read, but it drew me in. A bit of supernatural, but mostly a crime novel with lots of Southern Gothic. Recommended.

I wish I could say I was looking forward to reading this, but I would be lying. I was pleasantly surprised by this novel. We follow Dr. Brad, the only shrink in a small town in FL. The atmosphere is great, and the relationship between the characters do help build this atmosphere. My only issue is that it gave its card aways too soon. From the beginning, we do have an idea of who is the killer and it just drags. Gigi and her friend group was great. I liked how we see this group of women trying to overcome their circumstances and support each other. The drama of this town and big secrets, I feel this would work better as a tv series than a book.

Oooh y’all this one was FUN! I felt like I knew the characters and the dark humor was on point! I love a good ole southern crime mystery/thriller where the town and its folks feel like it’s your town and your neighbors. This was a well written southern fried book that takes you on one heck of a ride.
