First of all can I just say the cover of this book is stunning! Plus as you read the book you can recognize characters and different items on the cover and that was such a cool experience. I loved this book and all the characters in it, there was romance, mystery, action, and great character development! If any of this intrests you I highly recomend you give this book a read!

I enjoyed this book immensely! It gave off vibes of Bridgerton with a touch of Interview With a Vampire. The author did a fantastic job of describing the world and making me feel like I was watching from the shadows. The characters were fun and I enjoyed all of their adventures. I think this will be the perfect book for anyone looking for the Bridgerton vibes with a touch of fantasy or supernatural.

This is NOT vampire book. If you were looking for a queer vampire story, this is not it. At least not until the last 10% of the book. The synopsis makes it seem like the MCs vampireness is more prominent than it really is. At most we experience vampirism through poorly done and unnecessary flashbacks. Details about Lucian's life could have been done effectively with him thinking on past moments and incorporating them into the story more naturally. Instead we get fully italicized pages of past events that disrupt the flow of the main story line

The end scene was also very disjointed. One character's flip flopping of loyalties was very confusing and it felt like the author just ran out of characters to use for plot reasons. The ending also felt too convenient (no spoilers).

This has good bones for a story, but it's not there yet.
