I am unable to give a full review as I was unable to finish the book in time. I did really enjoy what I read and liked the book’s format and ease of reading as well as it’s accessible content.
This devotional book by Amy Welborn is a short and beautiful book for Catholic women on-the-go who are seeking to immerse themselves in Scripture each day but do not have a lot of time. I like the format of a small amount of Scripture paired with a brief reflection and a short prayer that can be said in a breathe or even repeated multiple times per day. I think that Catholic women will find a lot to reflect upon in these pages!
Thank you to NetGalley for a review copy of this beautiful book.
This was fine. I do love that it was Catholic based, that each day started with a verse and ended in a short prayer. However, I didn't find that I gleaned anything remarkable from the blurb in the middle.
Amy Wellborn has penned a thoughtful devotional with an entry for every day of the year. The reflections are short but powerful. Each day has a verse, a reflection, and then a single prayer. The entries are based on her experience as a woman, a mom, a believer and i found myself able to relate often. I like that the entries can be read in a single sitting and can easily fit into any moment of the day.
I received a complimentary copy from the publisher via NetGalley and all opinions expressed are solely my own, freely given.
I couldn’t wait to try this book! So far it seems interesting. I really like that for everyday of the year, there is a daily meditation. A lot of material that is out is more for Christians and I always wished for more Catholic.
I hope to keep up everyday with the meditations so far, I am enjoying them.
Thank you to the author, the publisher, and NetGalley for this e-ARC.
Im give this book one Star ⭐ it wasn't for me i try this but i guess it wasn't for me this kind of a book maybe other people will like it but i guess it wasn't for my taste
I felt like I couldn’t connect with the daily words of wisdom in this devotional. It just felt too short or incomplete for me. I appreciate the opportunity to read it though.
Loved this one! Great and fun read. Highly recommend.
Many thanks to the publisher, Netgalley, and the author for my ARC.
A Catholic Woman's Book of Days is a book that is needed for short journeys into God's word. It gives me something to meditate on in my chaotic life that will keep me grounded in my faith.
Although the formatting was off and made reading the ARC difficult, the devotionals were well written. I will definitely purchase this book once published.
Thank you to NetGalley and Loyola Press for the opportunity to read this ARC.
This was written very well, with relevant anecdotes attached to scripture, making it easy to read and interesting. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Formatting was off and made it difficult to read. Aside from that, if you’re a reflection kind of prayer person this is for you. Quick and short reflections, prayers and Bible verses are relevant and made specifically for Catholic mothers.
It was hard to read, the format isn't sent up nicely and I couldn't find contents to navigate through.
There were no page breaks, and wasn't easy to read it.
The I looked like numbers, and was messing up the page layout.
I would love to read it once it's formatted, don't like giving negative ratings to a spiritual book
