Thank you to Net Galley for this ARC. These are my own opinions!

I'm thrilled to report that Katee Robert has once again exceeded my expectations with this release. What I didn't realize at first was that this book is actually a compilation of two previously published novellas, cleverly woven together to create a cohesive and captivating narrative. And let me tell you, it's a game-changer!

Robert's signature spice level is, as always, expertly balanced to leave readers breathless and craving more. I've yet to come across a book by this author that I haven't devoured and this one is no exception. The two distinct plot lines are masterfully intertwined, creating a seamless and engaging reading experience that will keep you hooked from start to finish.

This book is the perfect quick read to cleanse your palate between longer, more complex novels.

NetGalley ARC for the win 👏 “Illicit Temptations” is a quick and easy read that helped to get me out of my recent slump! It is a reprint of Katee Robert’s novellas, “Make Me Yours” and “Make Me Need” and boy did I love this 2-in-1 version. I picked up this delectably spicy story and did not put it down! Becka and Aaron were a fairytale type of love that played into the romance tropes we know and love. Trish & Cam were the perfect grumpy x sunshine couple and while I enjoyed Becka & Aaron’s story better… it was nice to get the back story for Trish and Cameron. These books left me wanting more but the story line was pretty straightforward and predictable!

Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC!

I love Katee Robert's books and these are no exception. This book comprises of two novellas - one accidental pregnancy and one brother's best friend/partner, both of which fall lightly into the rich businessman trope. And yes, this book is all trope-y and spicy, and not necessarily of the same quality as her Olympus series, but nonetheless, Katee Robert is a great writer of romance and pulls it off in these novellas again. There's plenty of spoiling to go around, some protective and possessive male heroes, and is overall a great beach read.

•Alpha hero
•Billionaire- HELLO
•Spicy Romance!

You can always count on Katee Robert giving you a whole lot of spice! You can tell this is some of her earlier work but I did enjoy it just didn’t obviously love it completely like I adore her more recent writing a lot more

Let me start with I love Katee Robert. Well I love most of her stuff. This is two novellas that were previously published. And they are fine. One is a oops baby and the other is brothers best friend/workplace. Now I don’t care for oops baby tropes, so the first book was definitely not my cup of tea. The second novella’s trope were more up my alley. And the spicy was good in both. It was that the stories didn’t feel as out of the box plots as I know Robert is capable of. So for the reader that likes these tropes, read it. To readers of Katee Robert’s fantasy stuff, this is going to be a bit tame. (I read an ARC)

3.5⭐️

This has two books within it, Make Me Yours and Make Me Need. I really enjoyed both of them. I always enjoy Katees' books. I go to them when I want to read spicy. I do like Aaron and Becka's story a little more. I felt it was nicely paced, and Trish and Cameron's story was a little rushed.

Thank you too, Netgalley, Harlequin, and Katee Robert for the opportunity to read this as an E-Arc!

These two sizzling stories, previously published separately, dive into the messy, passionate world of love and lust where anything can happen.

3/5
Both stories were good and lots of smut if you're looking for it. The stories themselves were just very mild.

First I wish I would have known this was books 3&4 out of a 4 part novella series at the start. I loved Becka and Arron’s story from start to finish. For Trish and Cam I would have loved an epilogue! A nice quick read with great spice.

Thank you NetGalley for the copy!

This a re-release of two of Katee Roberts novellas (and I think there are two novellas before this that complete the whole "friend group" story but I didn't read them). After reading this and a few of her other contemporary romances, I can definitely say that I prefer her fantasy romances wayyy more. These two novellas were too insta-love for me to really get into them, but they were a quick and easy palette cleanser with good spice. However, I think I'll be sticking to her fantasies from now on.

Let me preface this by saying I love Katee Robert so much. I am HERE for her fantasy stuff. All of it.

That being said…. I’m not a straight romance reader and that is becoming glaringly obvious to me. I didn’t love the first story build up but I did love the ending. Funnily enough, I enjoyed the build up of the second story more than the final product. I enjoyed the stories well enough, they just needed more for me. I need the Kraken king and his prehensile penis dammit!

Anyway, I’m giving this 3⭐️ solely because I just don’t like vanilla romance novels. I need darkness. I need fantasy. I need unhinged content apparently. I’m a fantasy reader who enjoys some romance.

If you’re a vanilla basic romance reader, you’ll probably love this. It’s cheesy and sweet and romantic and everything you’re looking for. Just not for me, although I appreciate Netgalley for the ARC.

This is a two novellas combomined and I absolutely loved them both! The titles to read before are Make Me Yours and Make Me Need! I love how it has the author touch on the story it really showed for me! I loved Cameron in both stories! He has got a big heart underneath the dark gruff exterior! I think this is the perfect follow up for the two others stories! I was wanting more after reading the first two books, and this gave me everything I needed! I can’t wait to read more by this author!

There will never be another author who invokes such deep emotions from me. Katee Robert is a Goddess among us mortals. We are LUCKY to read her work. Every story she creates is crafted with such detail that it's astounding. They are so real, flawed and mostly miserable but also the best of people. I love her and will never tire of reading her books.

I'll devour pretty much anytime by KR but these might make my re-read list, and that's rare. Fun, unique, and well developed characters. The first book MMC was a touch on the overbearing side for me and I think a bit over the top, but the second story was so fantastic it made up for it. Lots of steam. Just the right amount of buildup and anticipation.

If the first not had been more like the second this would have been a5 star read. Unfortunately the pregnancy trope never ranks highly for me

This book is two novellas combined into one book.

The first story follows Becka and Aaron through their relationship after a one night stand leads to an unexpected pregnancy.

I really enjoyed this story. It was fast paced, spicy, and seemed to be a bit of a simple romance even in the face of so many trials.

The second story is about two work partners Cameron and Trish. An unlikely pair that can’t seem to keep their minds off of each other.

This story, although having its fair amount of spice as well, fell flat and I found myself skimming around awaiting the ending. Finding yourself in a relationship with your partner/friend’s sibling would have quite a few struggles in the workplace as well as personal space, but I felt like the author missed opportunities to add more conflict and excitement to the story.

Overall, I would give this book a 3.5 and would still read any future books from this author.

This book is a combination of two previously published novellas.

Book 1: Make Me Yours Becka and Aaron

After her sister's wedding gets her all emotional, Becka has a one night stand with the groom's friend Aaron with plans to never see him again. But three months later when she finally tells him she's pregnant, Aaron is blackmailing her into moving in with him, reading baby books, and trying to push her into a forever she never planned on. She's never been a white picket fence housewife kind of girl and she refuses to be pushed into it. If only Aaron wasn't so wonderful and charming...

Book 2: Make Me Need Trish and Cameron

None of her plans in life have worked out and Trish is forced to move back with her parents after college. Her brother offers her a job at his tech security firm to be the smiling face for clients that are scared away by his gruff and socially awkward business partner Cameron. Admittedly things get off to a bad start with the grumpy man on her first day, but she still can't deny the attraction. After practically throwing herself at him and getting shot down not once but twice, she's done with his attitude. Until a business trip to London forces them together...

I liked both stories told with the author's signature spice, but I loved Cameron in both stories. He's got such a big heart hidden behind the gruff attitude and he doesn't always realize his comments are hurtful until it's too late. Trish was so accepting of him after she got to know him better and their relationship was so sweet. The instalove in both stories was a little quick for me but expected in a novella and overall didn't detract too much from the story.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Honestly I really only read this to be a Katee Robert completionist and this one really didn't do much for me. I did like the second story better, but I felt both stories lacked a lot of chemistry between the main characters and I just wasn't convinced that their relationships were taboo in the first place (it also didn't help that surprise baby and brother's best friend are my two least favorite tropes to begin with). I guess I'm just curious as to why these ones were getting a re-release.

Thank You Netgalley for this ARC. I am a fan on Katee Roberts writing style and have enjoyed majority of her work. The book contains two stories that are interconnected by the MMC (1st story) and the FMC (2nd story) they are siblings. Each story tells their journey of love. In the 1st story it was love at first sight for him and the fmc just wanted to have a fun night....we all know where this ends up and it was written to where I wasn't put of by the troupe. In the 2nd story 100% forced proximity and I loved every word of it. He's a GRUMPY leading businessman and she's a compete ray of sunshine that shines so brightly he has no choice but to fall hard!

I’d hear a lot about Katee Robert books so I wanted to try this. Becka and Aaron were fun, spicy and I loved her sass, but the second half of the book didn’t grip me, I found myself getting bored and skimming 😬.
