Two stories for the prices of one, score!

This is 2 novellas combined that are set in the same universe.

The first novella is about Becka and Aaron. I went into it blindly and groaned once I found out it was an accidental pregnancy story. I am not a huge fan of this trope but the story itself was compelling that I kept reading. The chemistry between Becka and Aaron was undeniable. The angst was my absolute favorite.

The second novella is about Trish and Cameron. Trish is brought up in the first novella as she is Aaron’s younger sister. She starts working for Cameron and Aaron and what ensues is a grumpy x sunshine with a dash of forbidden romance.

This was a fun and quick read.

Thank you to Edelweiss and Harlequin for the opportunity to read this ARC!

I received a free copy of this book thanks to NetGalley and Harlequin; all opinions expressed are exclusively my own.

I wondered about a new Katee Robert title, but realized looking at the description that that isn't what this is. These two stories were previously published, and putting them together in a new volume seems fine to me. I enjoyed both of these stories when I read them before, and enjoyed them again now, though I do not remember well enough to know if any details have been changed. My only quibble is that I'm fairly certain these are books 3 & 4 in the original Make Me series, and yet here they're being released as Volume 1, which is odd.

Basically, if you enjoy Katee Robert, this is her before she wrote fantasy!

For sensitive readers, this book contains graphic sexuality and unintended pregnancy.

Katee Robert is one of my favorite dark(ish) romance authors. This dual novella gave me all of the erotica and romance that normally turn to Katee Robert books for. They are sort of like palate cleansers for me between more daunting reads.

One thing about these stories are that they deliver in terms of spice and steam between the characters. The reason why I rated this a bit lower is because I was not a fan of the tropes that were at play in these: pregnancy and instalove. I guess it makes sense for the length of the stories but I still think there could have been a bit more development in the characters relationships.

Overall both of these stories gave similar undertones and delivered greatly for smut purposes! Thanks so much NetGalley and Harlequin - Romance for this arc.

Katee Robert’s Illicit Temptations brings two sizzling novellas (Make Me Yours and Make Me Need) together, creating an intense and electrifying romance collection that teases the boundaries of desire, love, and commitment. As a long-time fan of Robert’s work, I was thrilled to receive an ARC of this omnibus edition, which reintroduces us to two couples grappling with their undeniable chemistry and the complications that come with forbidden connections.

In Make Me Yours, we follow Becka Baudin, a woman used to controlling her life and keeping things casual. She’s a strong, independent character who believes she can indulge in a fleeting affair with Aaron Livingston without strings attached. But when a positive pregnancy test complicates her plans, Becka’s world tilts. Aaron is steadfast and patient, the type of alpha male who knows what he wants—Becka by his side. What makes this story shine is the push and pull between Becka’s need for independence and Aaron’s relentless pursuit of something deeper. Their chemistry is off the charts, and while they may come from different worlds, their passion keeps bringing them back to each other. The emotional tension is palpable as they try to reconcile their differences.

Make Me Need takes a different route but delivers just as much heat. Trish Livingston is thrown into the arms (and office) of her brother’s best friend, Cameron O’Clery, when she takes a job working for him. Cameron is brooding, grumpy, and definitely not someone Trish should get involved with. But their banter quickly escalates into a fiery, forbidden connection that neither can ignore. This story takes the classic “enemies-to-lovers” trope and amplifies it with high-stakes family dynamics and workplace tension. Cameron’s icy exterior hides a deep vulnerability, and Trish’s determination to prove herself leads to a love-hate relationship that you can’t look away from.

Both novellas excel in delivering Robert’s signature mix of emotional depth and fiery passion. The characters feel real, their desires raw, and their obstacles relatable, whether it’s Becka’s fear of losing control or Trish’s struggle to balance personal and professional worlds. The power dynamics between the couples are fascinating, as both stories highlight the tension between wanting to keep control and giving in to vulnerability.

For those who love steamy, emotionally charged romances with a touch of forbidden desire, Illicit Temptations delivers in spades. Whether you’re meeting these characters for the first time or revisiting them, this omnibus is a captivating journey through two unforgettable love stories.

I tend to always love books by Katee Roberts. Illicit temptation is two novellas in one book and both of these novellas take place in the same universe. Both of these books very fun, easy and spicy reads that I really enjoyed.

Illicit Temptations is a two-in-one book re-release of Make Me Yours and Make Me Need from Katee Robert’s Make Me series. I discovered Katee Robert books from reading the Dark Olympus series and went on to also read the Crimson Sails Series and A Court of the Vampire Queen. I absolutely loved all those books but they are fantasy/romantasy while Illicit temptations is contemporary romance.

Maybe contemporary romance is just not for me but I did not like this book as much as her fantasy series. Make Me Yours is a one night stand pregnancy trope which is not really my vibe (I also could not relate/understand the FMC’s thoughts/logic so that did not help either). Make Me Need is a forced proximity, best friend’s little sister, office romance which I liked more.

Because both stories are novella length the plot moves very fast and it is quite a quick read. So even though the genre is not really for me, the books are still very well written and full of spice Katee Robert is known for. I would still recommend Illicit Temptations for contemporary romance readers but I think I will probably stick to her fantasy romance series from now on.

Oh so spicy and the perfect little reads. Two in one which was great. Fast reads and great little stories.

Fast, steamy and easy to read as always by Katee. I enjoyed how they overlapped characters with the previous books and were just the right romance fix to keep me intrigued.

Illicit Temptations by Katee Robert is the merging of two previous novellas, both dealing with forbidden attraction and giving into those illicit temptations.

The first story sees a one night stand turn into a baby and the second story sees a little sister falling for her brother's best friend, both stories are pretty short so I will leave the rest of the details for the reader to discover.

I was a little hesitant to start this one because I am not a surprise pregnancy reader, like at all, but I found myself really enjoying both of these stories and falling instantly in love with the characters. Robert is a great writer and I always end up loving their male characters, no easy feat. I really loved that each of the stories had fleshed out characters I cared about. The spice was fantastic, as always. This is a great read for those wanting a fun little afternoon romp and to just escape.

These two stories were just what I needed! Thoroughly enjoyed both of them. First, Becka Baudin is a love ‘em and leave ‘em kind of gal, no way would she take another chance in a relationship, EVER! Aaron is a hot, well-off entrepreneur, they meet at Becka’s sister’s wedding. The heat between the two is instant, and sizzles throughout the story. Becka and Aaron have a wild one-night stand, that turns into so much more, whether Becka likes it or not. This story has a lot of heat, a lot of “will they” “won’t they” A great love story ensues…

The one running theme in both of these books besides the family connections is giving in to life’s “Illicit” Temptation” taking what you want when you want it! NOW!

Second, Trish and Cameron, Trish is Aaron’s little sister - she’s been working hard to find a job after college graduation and has unfortunately had to move home. Aaron has a successful IT Security business in the city and desperately needs someone organized to administrate the company and support both Aaron and his partner Cameron; Aaron brings in Trish to help them out, she gets out of the house, into her own place, and is making money. Then Aaron’s partner Cameron meets her, she is instantly attracted, seems he is too. This was an interesting ride as Trish crosses the line and acts on her instant attraction to Cameron. Another great story about giving in to those illicit temptations, and that ends very well.

Thanks Katee!

Make Me Yours and Make Me Need...

A reissue of two contemporary Katee Robert books. These were two books about the Livingston siblings. Aaron Livingston gets Becka knocked up and has to work to get her to stay in his orbit (or in this case, his fancy penthouse). They are opposites with steam.

Trish Livingston gets her story with her brother's BF and business partner and her new boss, Cameron. Another opposites but with steam.
Recommend.

4/5! ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Katee Robert is and always will be a goddess of steamy, spicy romance, and I always enjoy her books. You get two novellas for one in this. Book one we have Aaron & Becka who meet at a wedding, have a one night stand, and after a broken condom, have a oopsie pregnancy. Book two we have Aaron from the first stories little sister, Trish, who meets Cameron, Aaron's work partner, and we get to see their relationship and how that plays out.

Tropes:
𐙚 Forced Proximity
𐙚 Pregnancy
𐙚 Workplace Romance
𐙚 Grumpy/Sunshine
𐙚 Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️.5

I personally enjoyed the second story more, as the pregnancy trope is not my favorite, and that is basically what the first one is. ( •̯́ ₃ •̯̀)

Overall, I really enjoyed these. They were quick, fast, spicy reads.....a perfect break in between the heavy ones.

Illicit Temptations by Katee Robert is two different stories and is part of the Make Me series. I love the author's writing. I've read her Dark Olympus series as well as several others by her and I'm always impressed. The first book in Illicit Temptations is Make Me Yours. I honestly didn't want to read it when I figured out it had the pregnancy trope but of course the author did it so well I managed to actually enjoy it. It was so easy to binge this one. Book two is Make Me Need. It picks up right where the first left off and I instantly fell right back into the story. This one was really cute and spicy. Both of these stories are quick, spicy, and totally binge worthy.

Thank you, Harlequin and NetGalley, for the advanced copy of Illicit Temptations.

I love Katee Robert, and this book was a great quick read with two novellas in one book. The stories were both sexy, funny, and just the right length for each. This is a great book to keep in your bag when you are on the go or to just let your mind take a break when you don't have all the time in the world to read a full-length novel.

Novella One: Make Me Yours
Becka hates weddings but can't necessarily weasel her way out of her sister's wedding where she's the maid of honor. Oh, did I mention she used to date the groom? All's well on that front, but she still doesn't want to be there until she meets eyes from across the bar with the groom's friend, Aaron. Playful banter leads to a night of lust that ends with a broken condom. No biggie. They're both clean, and Becka makes it clear that there's no reason to worry about pregnancy.... Birth control is totally foolproof, right? After coming clean to Aaron about her accidental pregnancy, he makes space in not only his apartment but his life for Becka while still giving her the space she needs.

Novella Two: Mae Me Need
Trish needs a new job stat. She needs away from her parents' house and into a life that is her own. When big brother, Aaron (yup, same one!), offers her a job to help his business partner while Aaron enjoys paternity leave, Trish leaps at the opportunity—the only problem: the business partner, Cameron O'Clery. With a jerk attitude but a sultry touch, Trish might be just what he needs to put him in his place and keep the business from losing more clients.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

"Illicit Temptations" by Katee Robert is a sizzling, emotional rollercoaster that pulls you in from the first page! Becka and Aaron's story is a captivating blend of passion and tension, with an unexpected twist that turns their lives upside down. Becka's fierce independence clashes perfectly with Aaron's determination, creating a dynamic that keeps you hooked. Trish and Cameron's story is equally compelling, with a delicious enemies-to-lovers vibe that sizzles with every interaction. Katee Robert masterfully balances steamy romance with heartfelt moments, making this a must-read for any romance lover!

2 stories 1 book. I liked both stories. Both had many of my favorite tropes. Enemies to lovers, he falls first, grumpy/sunshine, etc. The stories are more like novellas than actual long stories, so take that into consideration when reading. I enjoyed it and read it fairly quickly. The spice, the intimacy, and overall the MCs falling for each other. Chef’s kiss. You know there always had to be something holding them back. No spoilers here; read on and find out what exactly that is.

Illicit Temptations is volume 1 in The Make Me Series by Katee Robert.
A fun and spicy read. Katee Robert has this way of capturing my attention and making the writing unspeakably hot and amazing. This book is compulsively engaging.
The premise is intricate and entertaining; the romance is intriguing and sexy.
Here we have two emotionally intense and dangerously beautiful novels in one volume.

This book is two novellas in one. The characters are intertwined but have separate stories. Both novellas have good character development for short stories. Each of the couples are unique and distinct. The title doesn't seem to fit the topics of these novellas but the stories are good. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Thanks to NetGalley and Harlequin for an ARC of Illicit Temptations!

Katee Roberts always nails a sexy romance. This first volume of the Make Me series contains two novellas - Make Me Yours and Make Me Need. We have two independent, take charge FMCs and two alpha male MMCs who hopelessly fall in love with each other. Because these are novellas, they do fall into the insta-love variety, but the pacing and plot are well put together.
