Illicit Temptations is actually the first two interconnected novellas in the Make Me Series. These two focus on Becka and Aaron, and then Trish and Cameron.
Becka hooks up with Aaron after her sister’s wedding and unexpectedly falls pregnant. Determined to be in Becka’s and the baby’s life, Aaron convinces her to move in with him. Their chemistry is undeniable, but it might not last.
Trish, who is Aaron’s sister, takes a secretarial job working for him and Cameron in their cybersecurity company. Their attraction to each other is hard to resist, especially when they have to fly to London to meet with a prospective client.
I have enjoyed all the Katee Roberts books I’ve read, and this was no exception. That said, there was nothing in particular that stood out about these stories- the vibe was more that these were more backstories, that would be like a “half” book in the middle of a larger series. Personally I’m not much for novellas, but that’s not a critique on this book- it’s my fault for not realizing how short the stories are (both about 2-3 hour reads each)
One thing I think is important to mention however: people who do medical imaging (sonographers/sono techs and radiographers/x-ray techs) are not technicians, we are actually technologists. :)
I received a free copy of this book, all opinions are my own.

As expected of Katee Robert, this book was next level spicy. It contains 2 novellas that were published a few years ago within one volume.
We are thrust immediately into a dangerous and emotional world within these two stories. And it doesn't hurt that they are excruciatingly hot and entertaining.
I can't get enough of the books Katee Robert writes. I'm an absolute fan of everything I've read so far ❤️ this one included...

i try reading this book but i just couldnt it didnt call to me or my interest. maybe in the future ill be able to finished reading it but for now it wasnt for me.

This isn’t typically a storyline I would read but I love Katee Robert so I decided to give it a try and I’m so glad I did. Katee Robert never missed, I would read anything they write, they never miss. I highly recommend this book, you’re in for a treat.

4⭐️ for both stories!
3 ⭐️ for Make Me Yours, mainly because i just don't love surprise/accidental pregnancy. But Becka and Aaron were great and it was still a hot read!
5 ⭐ for Make Me Need cause Cam and Trish - WOOF. This one was soooo hot. I'm a little sad I didn't get an actual 'sex on the office desk' scene but what we did get was great.
As always, Robert excels at inertwining emotional development in her sex scenes in both stories, which is why I always enjoy her books more than most other smut authors. The sex is hot but it's even hotter because it's *vulnerable* and *emotional*. I can't wait to read Forbidden Games to enjoy the other two novellas in this world!
Thank you to NetGalley and Harlequin for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I don’t know what Katee Robert puts in their books but whatever it is always has me coming back for more. While these 2 novellas aren’t new, I love that they’ve been put together into one steamy volume. Make Me Yours and Make Me Need may be little in page count but there is so much spice and emotional content packed into each of them.
Make Me Yours deals with an accidental pregnancy trope, which I know can be hit or miss for most people. Let me tell you that this one was so well done. There’s plenty of sexy scenes but more than that I adored the emotional connection and the vulnerability between Aaron and Becka. I loved watching them overcome their communication differences and learn how to make compromises.
Make Me Need has one of my all-time favorite tropes, grumpy x sunshine. I don’t care how many books I read with that trope I will always eat it up. The tension between Trish and Cameron was thick but their chemistry was thicker. Watching them fall in love and chip away at each other’s walls had me feeling all the feels.
I feel the need to reiterate that these are novellas and with that means there’s going to be some form of insta-love between the characters. Even with each novella being so fast paced, I feel like the characters were well fleshed out and I was left satisfied! Excuse me while I immediately dive into Volume 2 so I can drool over more of Katee Robert’s swoon worthy characters! Thank you to Harlequin for providing an eARC via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Illicit Temptations by Katee Roberts is a collection of short stories that can be enjoyed on their own. Katee’s writing is always enjoyable, and this collection was no different. The stories are quick reads that mix some steamy moments with solid character growth. While the plots aren’t very complex, they focus more on everyday situations and decisions. The characters feel real, with believable thoughts and reactions. Although the stories are a bit predictable, they are still fun to read, and the spicy scenes are appropriate for all adult readers.

This is the first time I've read any of Katee Robert's contemporary romance and I definitely prefer her romantasy.
In both of these novellas rolled into one book, there's a lot of forced proximity and chemistry with so little actual communication. The spice is hot, the relationships are frustrating. The story development is a bit meh.

Two books in one, these books definitely turn up the notch on spicy. Book 2 follows up immediately where book 1 ended, so that was nice at least, even though the books are clearly novellas. It's a quick read but definitely hits the spot when it comes to spice!

While I am a huge fan of Katee's work, this one fell a bit flat for me. I loved Becka and Trish as female main characters. They both have their strengths and weaknesses and acknowledge those, and I can appreciate that they're not perfect. However, the insta-love in both of the stories just went way too quickly for me. I didn't love Aaron at times and wished that I got more of his perspective throughout. Cameron was a really fun character though and definitely deviated from the typical MMCs you see in romance. Overall a fun, short read, but not my favorite from Katee Robert.

Illicit Temptations by Katee Robert is two stories combined into one book. The first story "Make Me Yours" follows Becka and Aaron after they have a one night stand after her sister's wedding. There is an accidental pregnancy trope which I was not a huge fan of. Aaron and Becka attempt to navigate their new reality while still getting to really know each other.
The second story follows Cameron and Trish who are both related to Aaron in different ways. In "Make Me Need" they end up working together in the same office and cannot keep their hands off each other. I love a forced proximity and forbidden romance story!
Both stories have PLENTY of spice in them. I absolutely love the way Katee writes her spice. She is detailed in all the right ways, but doesn't forget that these are still characters in a story she's trying to tell. I'm interested to see where the rest of the "Make Me" series goes.

I hated it. I was so excited for this book because I like other books written by Robert, but this was not good. Robert writes pretty smutty stuff and I know to expect that from her, but this book was missing a good storyline and content.
DNF around 40%

I didn't realize at the time, but this is actually two books in one! That doesn't bother me, because I love Katee, so it was a lovely surprise.
The first book is Make Me Yours, where we have Becka and Aaron thinking they were just going to have a one night stand. But then their story takes a turn when Becka finds out that she is pregnant. He immediately jumps in to take care of her and their unborn baby, and they not only slowly build a relationship but reignite the fire that was between them.
I enjoyed this one! Becka was dealing with a whole lot more than a surprise pregnancy, but it was nice to see Aaron support her through working it out and leaving her the space she needed. The issues between them felt natural and realistic, and it was an overall great read.
The second book is Make Me Need, where we see characters we met in the first book, Trish and Cameron. She is hired by her brother, Aaron, to work at his security company because his partner, Cameron, does not do well with customers. These two had an incredible amount of tension and connection from the beginning, and I loved how he was always trying to keep her safe (mostly from herself - I mean, she almost fell off a ladder). The slow burn was great and of course, so was the spice!

Katee Robert is always good for a quick, fun, easy read with lots of spice. Will be a definite purchase for our library as we have a ton of KR readers.

Thank you Net Galley and Publishers for letting me read an arc of this book in return for an honest review.
There's something about Katee Robert's books that gets me every time. I tear through them like there's no tomorrow. I've only read her dark olympus series, which is 10/10, so I was very excited when I got this arc because I've been wanting to read some of her other works. This is 2 books in one, part of the make me series, and both are quick and easy reads that pack a punch. Katee's writing is sexy and enticing but she knows how to write a plot. It hits you right in the gut with emotions. I love how it's more than just spice, but the spice is great too.
So book one, Make Me Yours, falls under the accidental pregnancy trope. Becka hates weddings and all things commitment because of her flaky parents and awful relationship they had. Being the maid of honor at her sister's wedding doesn't make things easier either but she's truly happy for her if not a little cynical. To take her mind off things she has a one night stand with Aaron, friend of the groom. A night of heat and passion end abruptly when the condom breaks. Becka runs out of the hotel room never to see Aaron again, or so she thinks. After he finds out she's pregnant he demands she move into his penthouse so he can take care of her and the future baby. He's stubborn and she's flighty but between bouts of sexy time they fall more inline with each other's needs. I usually don't like the accidental pregnancy trope, but I was more invested in their chemistry and emotional stories. The story went so quickly that a baby was barely brought up, only when the story needed it.
Book two, Make Me Need, picks up right where book one ended. Aaron leaves for paternity leave, so his sister is hired to be his partner's assistant at their cyber security company. Trish is the epitome of sunshine and rainbows, and Cameron is the world's grumpiest boss. Working close together has the tension and chemistry rising between them. He shouldn't want his best friend's/partner's sister, but there's no denying the attraction. She learns that he isn't always an asshole and he learns that her positive demeanor is a mask hiding all her other sad emotions. I liked that he makes her feel safe enough not to put her mask in place. I loved how she just puts him in his place when he does say asshole-ish things. He definitely falls first but he never holds her back from her dreams because he loves her, and they work it out in the end.
This book was like a spicy hallmark movie. It had me smiling, blushing, and almost crying at times. I loved how both stories melded together to make a great longer story. I can't wait to read volume two of this series and get to learn about more of the side characters.

Previously Make Me Yours and Make Me Need. Spicy stories about real life relationships that aren’t always convenient and difficult partners. I really love Cameron and Trish. Quick, easy to read stories that are slightly interconnected

This is a book that features two novellas set in the same universe, offering readers a mix of romance tropes and character-driven stories.
Novella 1 focuses on Becka and Aaron, who unexpectedly find themselves dealing with a pregnancy after a one-night stand. Despite the accidental pregnancy trope, the story is appreciated for the strong chemistry and connection between the characters, even before their intimate encounter. The story is angsty, with Becka dealing with parental neglect and the complexities of first-time pregnancy while developing feelings for Aaron. The fact that the characters were sober during their night together was a positive aspect for the reader, as it added a layer of authenticity to their relationship.
Novella 2 follows Trish, Aaron’s younger sister, and Cameron, his business partner. Their story embodies the grumpy-sunshine dynamic with an added twist of best friend’s sibling. Trish’s bubbly personality contrasts with Cameron’s gruff demeanor, making their developing relationship enjoyable to watch. Their romance is engaging, with Cameron being the first to realize his feelings for Trish, adding depth to their dynamic.
Both novellas are quick, fun, and spicy reads, making them enjoyable for those who appreciate explicit romance. The first novella sets the stage with a surprise pregnancy that acts as a catalyst for the characters to address their personal issues, while the second novella builds on the relationships introduced, offering a different but equally compelling romantic storyline. Although the endings of both novellas felt a bit rushed due to their brevity, the characters and their relationships were well-crafted, making the stories satisfying overall.

I have always been a huge fan of this author, she has a way of bring angsty tension to the page in a way that can only be rivaled by your real life experiences. This book is made up of two separate novellas. One Novella is done night stand accidental pregnancy trope with some personal issues sprinkled on top. It doesn't lack for chemistry, and you find yourself engulfed in the story from the very beginning. Pregnancy is not my favorite trope but I still found this story very endearing.
The second novella is a brothers-best-friend (business partner) grumpy sunshine trope. The banter was great and the tension never stopped building. I enjoyed this one a lot more than the first one. The fmc is the little sister of the MC from the first story so it's all interconnected.
This books is VERY spicy. The scenes are *chefs kiss* as always.

Fast, steamy and easy to read during a busy week. These Katee Robert stories are just what I needed. I enjoyed how they overlapped characters with the previous books and were just the right romance fix to keep me in books right before school started.

These are two steamy novellas in one. In "Make Me Yours," Becka and Aaron’s accidental pregnancy leads to an intense romance filled with emotional struggles and sizzling chemistry. "Make Me Need" pairs Trish with her brother’s grumpy business partner, Cameron, in a fast-paced, grumpy-sunshine workplace romance. Perfect for a quick, fiery romance fix, especially if you enjoy strong alpha males and intense romantic tension.
