This was such an exhilarating read, it really kept me hooked all the way through and I did not want to put it down.
70% in I thought for sure I had narrowed it down to two possible crazies, but no, I was so far off from…EVERYTHING! I wish you could have seen the shock on my face 😂
A star was lost due to early on as I was thinking it had maybe hit its peak and there was no more, I couldn’t possibly see where the story could go from there or why it was there at all. Some of it I think could have been left out altogether as it didn’t seem to matter in the end anyway. I am glad I stuck with it, the story definitely improved.
I received this book as an advanced reader copy for free and have provided my review absolutely voluntarily.
WOW, what a crazy ride! I was hooked from the first page and could not put this one down!
Lily meets Alex, who is a celebrity. Both Lily and Alex are hiding things. Alex becomes a bit suspicious of Lily. Lily wonders whether she should tell Alex her secrets. I don't want to say too much more because it is best to go in blind.
A well-written rollercoaster ride! I thought a few times that I had things figured out but I was SO wrong. This book left me with my head spinning and heart racing. I will be thinking about it for a while! There are so many secrets and lies. Definitely a juicy read. Highly recommend! I gobbled this one up and cannot wait to read more by Sheryl Browne.
Thank you Bookouture and NetGalley for the advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.
Alex and Lily have an instant attraction to each other when they meet at a wedding. Both have secrets as well. Lily never intended to fall for Alex, their meeting wasn't as unexpected as he believes. Alex is a famous actor with a tragic past, but what role did he actually play in that tragedy?
The plot of this book was actually very good and definitely kept my interest, however I felt like it dragged on a bit too long and I had a hard time accepting that Alex, after being devastated by losing one child, would go years without hunting for a possible other child of his. I also was confused by the very end, what the last paragraph meant. I must have missed something in the story because it didn't make sense to me.
Thank you to Netgalley and Bookouture for the advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
Alex and I haven't been dating for long when I go to his place for the first time. Feeling self-conscious as I notice a thread coming loose on my dress, he pours me a glass of wine and I take in the pristine room and expensive furnishings. Everything here is perfect, too perfect. Where are the personal touches, the souvenirs from his life? Where are the photos of his friends and family? "You can trust me," Alex says as he hands me the wine, my heart beats wildly in my chest. I really want this to work, especially after the disaster of my last relationship. "You can trust me too," I say, avoiding his eye and wondering if I'm as safe as I thought I was. As our relationship progresses, and we spend more time together, I begin to make plans for our future. Everything is perfect, but one thing is....
Both of us are lying. One of us is dangerous.
Lily and Alex meet at a wedding, but we quickly find out that there are trust issues between them. Alex is a famous actor and suspects that Lily is after his money. Lily disappears and changes her name. Years later, Alex finds her again, but things are not what they seem.
This is a fast=paced read with lots going on. Filled with secrets and lies, and the twists were enough to keep me invested, wondering where this story was going to take me.

I would like to thank #NetGalley #Bookouture and the author #SherylBrowne for my ARC of #KeepMeSafe in exchange for an honest review.
My thanks to Bookouture and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read ‘Keep Me Safe’ written by Sheryl Browne in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.
Lily deliberately sets out to meet actor Alex Morgan by tripping on a carpet at a wedding reception. Lily continually lies to him and after looking for her on the internet Alex realises she’s not who she says she is and believes she’s after his money. Lily may be lying and keeping secrets but Alex is too.
I always enjoy Sheryl Browne novels and look forward to reading her latest one but ‘Keep Me Safe’ didn’t do anything for me and I had to force myself to continue reading. It started well and the plot was intriguing but I didn’t feel any rapport with the characters and the further I read the more confused I became. I admit to jumping some pages so I could get to the end but I really didn’t enjoy it.
This book was set in two parts, it was confusing and the characters were not particularly likeable, it was confusing and I found myself, telling them to just talk to each other, would of saved a lot of unnecessary drama.
Lots of twists and turns though, and very well written.
Alex and Lily/Emily meet at a wedding. They soon get together and it gets twisty. This is a quick read! Thank you to Bookouture and NetGalley for a copy.
A quick and easy read that definitely delivered on the thrills and tension. It had some good twists and vile characters which is just the way I like it. Some of the characters behaviour and choices were a bit odd but then again, some people are just weird so fair enough. It kept me guessing, I had no clue where it was all going and It def held my attention. I'll be looking out for the authors back catalogue to work my way through soon if this book was anything to go by!!
Thank you Bookouture and NetGalley for an early copy of Keep Me Safe. Very fast read, I read it in one day! I did not like Emily at all, she was so wrong what she did to Alex, just communicate and stop lying! Part Two confused me so much, why was Emily so afraid of Alex, it was FRUSTRATING!!! Alex was the nicest character along with Patrick but Emily, was the worst!
Another great book by Sheryl Browne. Plenty of suspense with twists and turns and a killer ending. Thanks To NetGalley and Bookouture.
Can hardly believe this is my 16th book have read by this author…..so obviously I really like them
What I love and think have said before is that each one although a psychological thriller is based on a different theme or includes something not seen before in her books, this time we have fame via one of the main characters and how this affects him coupled with guilt, trust and obsession
So all in all a good basis to start a book on!
We meet some very complex people who have got themselves in dire situations and now are about to reap what they have sown, serves them right? Maybe, you will have to decide….
An interesting read that will leave the reader ( well did me ) to draw their own conclusion and once again a book showing how creative this author is
Another really good book by one of my favourite authors. ☺
The story is told in two parts. In part 1, we witness a brief relationship between a famous actor and a woman who lied to appear more worthy of dating him; in part 2, set some time later, a stalker threatens the same woman and what she holds most dear.
I liked the first part, but the second is when the book really became "unputdownable", with more suspense and twists, so I would advise readers who might not be that interested at first not to give up too quickly.
I really enjoyed the start of this book Lily and Alex meet at a wedding and they just seem to click. However it quickly becomes apparent that there is trust issues between them. This for me is when the story starts to go downhill. Alex is a famous actor and finds it hard to trust people and suspects Lily is after his money. Even though he suspects her and doesn't trust her he keeps dating her and doesn't really say anything, which I found bizarre. Then when Alex does, he just shouts at Lily and doesn't let her speak and they go their separate ways, which again I found it pointless and bizarre.
The story moves years later and Lily who is in fact Emily thinks Alex is stalking her becomes very anxious and stressed very quickly. I think with this book the storyline is a good idea but the build up of the story didn't make much sense to me. I didn't gel with any of the characters and then when everything came together at the end and we find out who the stalker is, I felt it was just a bit lame. Then the dialogue became full of clichés and I could feel myself cringing over it.
I can see that Browne has a lot of positive reviews and feedback from her books, so I would be interested to try one of her other stories.
Alex is a celebrity very handsome with lots of girls that would like to go out with him he then meets Lilly who he falls for big time however everything is not how it seems she’s definitely hiding something in fact they both have secrets.
Who is telling the truth and who is lying I thought I had the answer many times but so many twists and turns.
Really enjoyed the book and would definitely recommend.
Thank you to Netgalley and Bookouture for an ARC
A good thriller that keeps you turning the pages, full of twists and turns. Very enjoyable and exciting!
There was enough intrigue to keep me reading but It didn’t exactly have me on the edge of my seat.
Thank You to NetGalley, Bookouture, and Sheryl Browne for the opportunity to read this ARC.
Sheryl Browne delivers yet again! This book had me hooked from the beginning. Lies, distrust, and other issues thread through this gripping read.
This is a hard book to review without including any spoilers.
Great psychological thriller. Loved, loved, loved it!
Sheryl is a great writer of this genre, and each book she writes tops the previous one. I can't wait for her next psychological thriller.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me to read this arc. Lily “accidentally on purpose” meets Alex at a wedding. They seem like two lost souls, who can start anew future together. As time goes on, nothing is working out as they thought. I was really shocked by a couple of the twists and turns, especially at the end! I will always continue to read Sheryl Browne’s books, she knows how to write an intriguing thriller!!
I have mixed feelings about this one, so I will settle on a 3 rating. Didn't hate it, didn't love it. As far as thrillers go, it definitely hits the mark. You have no clue what is going on, what is true, who the bad player(s) could be. I did not care for where this all ended up...and what is up with that last line? I'm not sure what I was supposed to take away from that, so I think maybe I missed something. But, it's a quick read and has a lot of thriller-y stuff going on.
