"How to Steal a Galaxy" is a fun, fast paced sci-fi novella which will also appeal to contemporary romance fans. There's plenty of banter and humor, and sexual tension between the Ada and Rian, and there's a heist going on in a museum. What more could you want? I recommend reading the first in the series before moving onto this one so you have an idea about what happened between the characters, and what's happening in that galaxy. I really enjoy Revis' world (galaxy) building in this series. I can't wait to read the conclusion!

This was a really fun book. I actually think I maybe enjoyed it more than the first one. The main character has some kind of plan, but even though you don’t know what it is until the end, you still know she’ll make it happen. I like the interactions between Ada and Rian- he’s such a good person, but naive. She’s actually a very good person, but pretends a bit like she’s not. I look forward to reading more in the next book.
Thank you to NetGalley and DAW for providing me access to this eARC for my honest opinion!

I received a free copy from the publisher through Netgalley and voluntarily reviewed it.
I liked book in this series and was excited to continue the series. Unfortunately I enjoyed book 2 less than the first one. And despite it being a quick read I was bored at times and the book didn't really hook me. Where book 1 took place in space this one mostly takes place in the span of a few hours in a museum. Ada is there to steal something and Rian is there to stop her. And as the reader we don't know what Ada's plan are either.
I didn't really care for the museum setting or the whole atmosphere of this book, I missed the space setting of book 1. I also thought the whole plot with Ada planning something and the reader not knowing what worked better in book 1, here it just felt like a lot of build up and tension and it not really going anywhere. The ending was a bit of a let down and this book just mostly felt like a way to cross from book 1 to 3 and it just didn't really keep my attention.
I also felt this one was a bit of a clash with my previous read, a very sweet contemporary romance with characters who actually communicate and then How to Steal a Galaxy book had all this hinting and being subtle and pushy without actually talking. I also didn't like Ada as much in this one, although I do think she's an interesting character.
What I did like was seeing how the plot of this book builds upon the plot of the first book with what Ada did in book 1 continuing with this new mission. I also thought the part about saving Earth was interesting. And how Ada pretends to be tough and only care about money, but she definitely cares about Earth. There was some interesting backstory that comes to light that adds to Ada's character. I liked how different Rian and Ada are, but I felt this book had less opportunities for them to connect. I am curious what book 3 will bring and do plan to finish the series.
To summarize: While I enjoyed the first book, I didn't enjoy this sequel as much. The plot was less interesting and I felt like there was a lot of build-up and waiting till the end to finally find out what it all was about and then the ending felt a bit anticlimactic as well. I also thought the museum setting was less interesting than the space setting from book 1. I struggled a bit with Ada in this book and there isn't as much romance and opportunities for them to connect. I did like seeing how the plot builds on from book 1 and there are some interesting bits of Ada's backstory that come to light. I do plan to finish the series and am curious how book 3 wraps things up.

Overall, a fun, fast-paced, and entertaining sci-fi story.
I really enjoyed the morally grey Ada. I couldn’t help but root for her. I also enjoyed the chemistry between her and Rian. I loved the banter!
This was definitely addictive and I’m excited for the next one!
I recommend this book for sci-fi lovers!

How to Steal a Galaxy is a sexy roaring space adventure. As this is book two of the series, I strongly encourage readers to start with the first.
Ada continues her adventure for the rebel group as she seeks out the plans for a nanobot climate cleaners. Rian, who works for the government, is back again. As they both are looking for the same thing, the way they do it is completely different. Ada is chaotic and morally gray. Rian is on the a path of doing everything by the rules. When the two connect, it's full of sass, banter, and heat.
I absolutely adore this series. The humor and adventure is a wonderful toe dip into sci-fi for those who might be a little hesitant. I look forward to the continuation of this collection and sharing it with our library patrons.

Thank you to DAW & NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book.
This was another quick, fun read from Revis and I'm quite enjoying the series. Hoping for more like this, even if they aren't part of a series, the pace and vibes are right up my alley.

How To Steal A Galaxy
Beth Revis
I loved reading this, book two in a novella trilogy. It was a glamorous and chaotic ride. Ada felt rather unhinged but I went with it.

I want to start by saying I was WAY to hard on the first book. I've since reread the first book and continued on this second book and this trilogy is a lot of fun. It fits nicely in the Cozy SciFi genre with a sprinkle of the political.
This was a fun ride, and I can't wait to see how this concludes for Ada and Rian.

I'm still sort of new to Beth Revis' writing, so the two books I got were kind of my jumping in point. I have to say, I enjoyed it! This woman is a legend, y'all. This stakes get higher, the tropes get tropier, the heists get heistier. Come on. I honestly don't know what else you can ask for in a sequel? And oh my goodness, does the sass continue. The amount of times I burst out laughing? Probably the most I ever have. I cannot wait until the last book in this trilogy is released. What a wisecracking duo. Do recommend highly.

I loved this heist novel. It feels a lot like James Bond in space with the fabulous costumes, morally grey characters, and mystery over what everyone's true motives are.

Read in quick succession with Full Speed to a Crash Landing, How to Steal a Galaxy unfortunately felt both less cohesive , and less of a self-contained story. There is no big reveal towards the end of the book this time, but a more classic cliffhanger - with a short novella, this can feel quite frustrating. That said, I greatly enjoyed the interplay between Ada and Rian and, whilst sometimes less gripping than its predecessor, this was an engaging and fun read. Regardless of how the inconclusive ending made me feel, I'm going to read on and find out what happens either way!
2.5 stars rounded up to 3.

Beth Revis’s vivid world-building and intricate plot kept me hooked from start to finish. The evolving relationship between Ada and Rian adds depth to the story, making their interactions both tense and captivating. While the novella sets the stage for the series’ conclusion, it delivers a satisfying adventure on its own. I eagerly anticipate the final installment to see how this gripping saga unfolds.

I adored the first book in this series so I was so excited to dive into the second book in this series! After pulling off the heist of a nanobot prototype and associated code at the end of the first book, Ada's contacts try to rope her back in to help save Earth. But the thing that seals the deal isn't the money (her usual motivator) but instead the chance to see Rian again. Set at a charity gala, the banter and shenanigans continue to be unmatched. I love Ada as a character. She is so smart and the little hints she drops about her real plans kept me hooked. The one critique I have for this one compared to the first one is that the writing felt a little less tight. There was some unneeded repetition that slowed the pace when the book should feel tightly wound. Still, I am anxiously awaiting the next one!
Drink this book: Enjoy with a South African Cap Classique - something that feels like champagne but it's quite.

This series has been a thrilling ride full of sci-fi heists. With each book being a novella, it’s a fast-paced and action-filled adventure. I’m eager to see how everything unfolds in the final installment, especially after the big reveal about Ada’s plans at the end of this book. The finale is sure to be a blast!

I loved the first book of the series so much and this one was just as good!
I did a hybrid read because I loved the audio for the first book and the narrators are the same and they are so great for these characters.
I just love the banter between these characters so much and I’m so excited to see what happens in the third book!

REVIS! How can you do this TWICE with the same amazing characters? Another amazing scifi space heist story with a morally grey FMC and lawful MMC set in a museum full of Sol Earth artifacts on a far off planet. The villain is finally revealed and is entirely hateable and we get more background on Ada that gives more background on the struggles of OG Earth to stay alive. Plus there's more push and pull with Rian, which gives that little spice that amps up the tension and character dev.
I am again super obsessed. I absolutely LOVE this short series and will recommend this to ANYONE who enjoys a good mystery/heist/scifi/romance situation. So excited for the next installment coming out soon!
Thanks to NetGalley and DAW for the advanced ebook copy in exchange for an honest review. Loved it!

I didn’t realize when I requested this book that it was the second book, shame on me I know lol. But I went to my library and borrowed the book. This was an amazing sequel and I really enjoy Ada’s character. She’s morally gray, unhinged and just fantastic.
Can’t wait for the third book!

This was fun, shiny, and twisty, but it didn’t quite hit like book one. Would I recommend it? Yep, but only after the trilogy is complete. Save yourself the agony of waiting, and binge-read when it’s all out. Future you will thank you

I thought this was very good and I will have to add this to the shop shelves. Thank you for the chance for us to review.

Snarky sci-fi with a dash of yearning-filled, "I hate how much I want you" romance. The banter is BANTERING and I'm obsessed with Ada, the scheming sunshine to Rian's grumpy stickler to the rules. The second book in Beth Revis' sci-fi novella series fleshes out the world and packs a fast-paced, thrilling punch in so few pages. It's impressive how much story is packed into this little book and its predecessor, Full Speed to a Crash Landing. They're highly binge-able and addictive, and I have a feeling many more will fall in love with this series when the third one comes out.
If you love character-forward, twisty sci-fi with heart and humor a la Murderbot Diaries, Chaotic Orbits is made for you -- as it is for me.
