Thanks to Netgalley and DAW for an e-arc of How to Steal a Galaxy.

The joy I felt for being approved was immense, because I just finished the first book in the series and NEEDED to know what would happen next.

There was no way Rian would just let things slide from the events of book 1 and yet again Revis has created magic with this space heist. Ada and Rian have found themselves at the same gala event, both knowing the other would be there, just not aware of why. This event has all the celebrities in attendance and the fundraiser; to help save Earth. While reading this I definitely was thinking of the Met gala and the the critiques that come along with it. Ada makes some excellent points about this.

Is Rian going to be able to catch Ada in the act of stealing something? Or will she complete her mission?

I felt like there were so many layers happening in this story and I still didn’t catch them all. It all comes together in the end though with the reveal of why Ada was actually there. I am absolutely living for this series and I cannot wait for the next one!

If you were a fan of any type of heist and would want to know what that would look like in space/on another planet… then here you go. Do not miss out on this series!

Ada's single POV is a fascinating narrative choice. She holds all the knowledge, and her intellect is truly awe-inspiring. The way the reader is kept in the dark, just like Rian, is a testament to the author's skill. It's absolute perfection.

I purposely didn't read the blurb because I didn't need any enticement after reading the first novella. And I'm so glad I didn't. I had no idea that Rian was what she was there to steal, and I absolutely loved it.

I cannot wait for the final novella!

ARC received in exchange for an honest review.

This was a cute, fast paced novella. To be honest, I don’t think I got the full experience because I didn’t read the first book. As a standalone, this one didn’t knock my socks off, but I could see it has potential to if I read the trilogy!

I liked Ada as a morally grey yet loveable FMC and enjoy the chemistry between her and Rian. Off to read the first book now!

Beth Revis has outdone herself with "How to Steal a Galaxy." This book is a masterful blend of science fiction, suspense, and heart, making it a page-turner!

What sets this book apart is not just the thrilling action, but the way it explores deeper themes of loyalty, ambition, and sacrifice. Revis has crafted a richly detailed universe filled with high stakes, ingenious twists, and a diverse cast that you’ll quickly fall in love with. Each character has their own voice and backstory making the crew dynamics as captivating as the heist itself.

Revis's writing is sharp and witty, with a perfect balance of humor and tension that keeps you on the edge of your seat. Whether you're a long-time fan of Revis or new to her work, this book is a must-read for anyone who loves a good heist with a sci-fi twist. Highly recommended!

I was so excited to dive into How to Steal a Galaxy, and it didn’t disappoint! This book brings Ada and Rian back together in a high-stakes scenario at a glitzy space gala, and let’s just say, things get intense. Ada is such a gray character, and I absolutely love her for it. She’s got her own agenda, and she doesn’t shy away from doing what she thinks is necessary, even if it means bending a few rules (or breaking them entirely).

Rian, on the other hand, is more about playing things by the book, which makes their interactions so interesting. The contrast between them keeps you on your toes, and it’s fascinating to see how they navigate their differences in a setting where the stakes are sky-high.

Beth Revis has done an incredible job building this world, tackling issues like climate change and technological advancements in a way that feels very real, even in a futuristic setting. The plot is fast-paced and packed with action, but what I loved most was how these serious themes were woven into the story without overshadowing the fun and excitement.

If you’re into sci-fi with a bit of romance and a lot of tension, this is definitely a series you should check out. I’m giving this one 5 stars without hesitation and can’t wait to see where the story goes next!

Big thanks to @bethrevis, @netgalley, and @dawbooks for the eARC.

I honestly didn't enjoy this book. That's not the authors fault though. It just appears I'm not a fan of drones and droids.

I devoured this book! That it picked up at the event that Rian's notes thought that she might be at, was brilliant. Now that we've had a book in her head, and seen how her plans work out, I wondered if I could figure out her objective before she carried it out. But she was less coy in this book, though she did hint at things, it just wasn't to the extent of the previous book, I don't think.

This cover is just the kind that I love. The gradient of the colour, in the background is so very visually stunning for the eyes, and with their profiles in a star-studded sky, it's so pretty and I love looking at it! That it packages a fantastic story is another plus!

At this point, I'm wondering if it's possible I'll read this whole series before the first book comes out. If I'm lucky enough to do so, that'd be so funny. I don't think it'll happen, since book 1 comes out in August, and I read it in April, and got this one now in July, so it's probably going to be in October, if it happens.

Ada is justifiably angry. That this guy, who didn't invent anything, but bought them from the inventors, and made fistfuls of money, and being recognized as if he was the one that invented things, awful. His plans for the tech that's the focus of this series? Evil. I was thinking that they could reprogram it and instead of paying him to keep going, that he would pay them, which would drain his money and help Earth recover, but alas, I finally figured out that wouldn't work. If only!

I found it funny-sad that she kept telling the dude her true opinion of him, and he just laughed it off, not believing her, writing her off. Like, she means it, and if she had it her way, you wouldn't be laughing anymore. I hope she gets that last laugh in the end, ruining his plans!

This was such a fun romp, and I can't wait for book 3!

The wild sci-fi heist continues with twist after twist! I love how it mixes adventure with stuff like breaking free from societal expectations and exploring identity. It’s fast-paced but still gives you plenty to think about. If you’re into thrill rides with heart, this one’s for you.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I could not love this series enough!
This book picks up right after the first book and the action does not stop. I LOVE Ada and her sneaky ways. She is the best written badass FMC I have read in a long time. Golden retriever Rian is right on her tail and the way he stays so close but still fights his feelings, I looooved it. You could never really tell what Ada's end game will be and I cannot wait for the next book.

These novellas are lovely bite size bits of this story.
This one was not quite as good as the first but I’m enjoying that Ada is so grey.

I realized that Ada Lamarr is not as smart, sexy, witty, and badass as I thought she was because, girl, she was so much more! And this second book is an evidence. I loved her in the first book, and I loved her MORE in this one.

Admittedly, I enjoyed the second book more than the first one. Although it’s not as big of a heist as I thought it would be, trying to think of what Ada has up in her sleeve in every scene and move she makes definitely made it more thrilling to read.

I love the progression of the romance, more worldbuilding and backstory of the heist. The first and second book are properly linked, giving the first one more importance and context as you read this second book. I appreciate the social commentary in here, honestly, since the first book doesn’t have that much. And as for the romance, you can definitely feel more sparks and more spice coming up in the surface with every scene😉

Since this is not set in space anymore, I appreciate the settings more with the mingling of elites, dazzling gowns and rich gala.

I do think that the first book has more of its thrilling parts compared to this one, but it’s really Ada’s narration that made the thrilling part more exciting, trying to piece together her plans and secret moves. I feel like I’m Rian just following along, trying to figure out her plan and what she will steal this time around.

And turns out, it really is a whole galaxy… well, her galaxy.

This was, easily a 5 star read. It didn’t disappoint from the first book and continued along the thrill and the chase! I can’t wait for the third book!

Thank you so much to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC!

Just months after the events of the first book, Ada is once again hired by the rebel group to retrieve something important to their cause. The new job is an undercover mission at a charity gala on Rigel Earth, where Rian will be in attendance. Rian, who suspects Ada might be interested in the rare artifacts on display, has volunteered to run security for the event. After following Ada around the party all evening, Rian begins to question why she really is there.

Another fun heist novella! Though I did wish our characters spent more time in space, I did enjoy learning more about the different planets that have been settled, and more of Ada’s backstory. Once again the tension and banter between Ada and Rian was perfection. Will be waiting for news of when the final installment will be released!

A big thank you to NetGalley and DAW for an ARC in exchange for my honest review!

Picking up hot on the heels of the first book, How to Steal a Galaxy sees everyone's (or at least, my) favorite space thief taking on a new job for her client. Fortunately, this job is a fancy gala at a museum and will likely not require her to painstakingly climb a cliff this time. And more importantly, her nemesis and love interest Rian White will be there.

I really enjoyed following Ada on her continued adventures. This second installment had less pulse-pounding action, but it was still fun to watch Ada flex her con-artist skills. The trillionaire antagonist is very obviously modeled on a real person, and the lampooning he receives will rub some readers the wrong way. I thought Ada's obvious, and stated, hatred of him was great.

Sci-fi readers who have not yet picked up these novellas are doing themselves a great disservice. Revis has created a fully-realized protagonist in Ada and placed her in a compelling future. I'm eagerly anticipating the third installment and hoping it will not be the last time we get to read about Ada Lamarr!

This review will be posted to Goodreads on August 17, and scheduled for release on Instagram in late November, 2024.

Oh, how I’m loving this series. I picked up this book and didn’t stop until I reached the end. This is a funny but moving read. You can’t help but be sweep along Ada actions and you’re right there with Rian questioning Ada’s motive and scheme. Ada is a girl that goes after what she wants and find a way to get paid for it. But you also see how she has her moral code and just really can’t help herself.

This book continues the trend of social commentary and state of the world while still painting brilliant images of what other solar systems and planets look like and a very dark picture of what might be our own world in the future.

I can’t wait to pick up the 3rd book once it becomes available. And I’m looking forward to get this series into my book collection.

Thank you DAW for providing this book for review consideration via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

As always, Revis knocks it all the way out of the park. A rollercoaster of awesome from start to finish with plenty of laugh out loud moments. I’m dying to get my hands on the next installment!!

Beth Revis has done it again! Disclosure - I did receive this book from NetGalley for my honest review.

I absolutely loved this book, and even more than the first one, and cannot wait for the third and final one. This book has all the things I love, a high-stakes space heist, a beautiful gala at a museum, witty banter, and of course the romance. While it is a novella, I did still read it in one day, I just couldn’t put it down. This series is a must-read in my opinion!

This is a must-read for fans of Firefly and Leverage! Heists and hijinx, a badass heroine who doesn't let you know her next move, and some swoon-worthy romantic moments! And just like Full Speed to a Crash Landing, you will be left wanting more! I can’t wait until book 3!

Just like the first in the series, I really enjoyed this super fun novella. Ada is an interesting character, and I loved her side quest to destroy the stand-in for a certain well-known billionaire. The romance is low heat, but I didn’t need more. I wish the story would have been longer!

I am loving this series of heists! This was a great follow up to the first book. I love the relationship between Ada and Rian and can’t wait to see them in the next book. My favorite part is that we are still kept guessing what Ada is up to during the book. We are starting to learn more and more and I’m super excited to see what comes next!

I breezed through the first installment and did the same with How to Steal a Galaxy! Ada is a wit and just so likeable, and you can feel Rian going absolutely nuts trying to figure her out- I'd love to see more of his perspective! I didn't think this story line was as complete as Full Speed to a Crash Landing, which felt self-contained. HtSaG felt more like a placeholder ahead of the next book, which isn't necessarily a bad thing- I just wanted more. I agreed with Ada in Chapter 6 as well: "less philosophical bs"! There was a lot of ruminating for a short novella, and I wanted more action or dialogue or something in place of it. I think Ada's voice is strong enough to feel her emotions and motivations without those ruminations, and they just slowed it down for me. Overall, though, I enjoyed myself and will be impatiently waiting for the next! The cover is also absolutely beautiful just like the first!
