Disappointingly, I DNF'ed this book at 11%. The conversations felt awkward and unrealistic, and despite a massive twist at the very beginning which I felt would've resulted in an interesting characterisation, I couldn't get into this book. I don’t particularly like either of the two main characters, and I’m feeling negative towards Sophie for being such a weird pick-me quite literally on page 1 so don’t want to read about her.
This was the second book in the Dirty Air series and while it can be read as a stand-alone, I'd definitely recommend starting the series with Throttled as we get a better understanding of characters before Collided.
Collided follows Sophie and Liam who briefly meet in the past and end up running into each other again in present day. Sophie is the daughter of the general manager of Liam's rival F1 team which creates some wonderful tension. Sophie and Liam decide to give being friends a try which leads to friends with benefits, but can they over come their personal and professional obstacles in order to find happiness with one another?
This book was a wonderful, light, friends to lovers romance that has you really rooting for these two regardless of their rivalry. Happy to say this entire series has me completely hooked!
I enjoyed throttled and Maya and Noah. But Collided? Collided stole my heart. I will forever love this book couple! “I’d buy you the whole damn night sky if I could.”
Thank you Bloom and NetGalley for this ARC. I think the storyline was just not for me. Overall, F1 romance books aren’t my cup of tea I think. I really enjoyed the Dreamland Billionaires series by Lauren Asher. I think since this is her first series I just wasn’t a fan of the writing. More specifically the main characters and the way they were written did not appeal to me. I’m looking forward to reading the last book in this series because Santiago is the only character I’ve liked so far.

Collided is a refresh and republish and the second in the Dirty Air (race care) series by Lauren Asher. I haven’t read this series before but I definitely need to continue and make sure I read the first one too!
Liam Zander is an F1 driver that doesn’t just tear up the race track, he’s also known as the F1 playboy among all the major teams. After tragedy strikes his family years ago he has vowed never to fall in love. Short affairs with no feelings is exactly what he’s looking for.
Sophie Mitchell is an F1 princess. The daughter of one of the major sponsors general manager. She has been kept away from the track to focus on school. After several failed sexual experiences with mundane frat boys, Sophie makes a naughty bucket list.
Sophie convinced her dad to let her spend one season at the racetrack and her intentions are to complete her list. When she runs into Liam Zander she quickly decides his reputation forces him straight to the friend zone.
As they get to know each other as friends, Sophie and Liam start knocking items off the list and decide friends with benefits will work for them both. Until the playboy falls in love.
I’m a big fan of this author! I enjoyed this book although I wasn’t convinced on Sophie’s character, she was almost too good. This is a 3.5 star for me.

“You’re on a fucking loop in my head. The same shit replays because I can’t get you out no matter how hard I try, no matter how many times you call me a friend. I want to fuck friendship out of you, erasing the word from your memory.”
This was such a great read! I really enjoyed reading how Sophie and Liam are friends for most of the book. You really get to see how much they care for each other. I also loved that it wasn’t purely sexual chemistry, but something more. It was fun reading how Sophie and Liam navigate their friendship as Sophie is the rival team’s manager. (I know that manager isn’t the right term, but I’m not knowledgeable in F1 racing 🤣) Sophie has a Fuck It list that has all types of things on there from crazy adventures to sexy stuff. When Liam finds the list he of course offers to help her with it! I found all their adventures super fun and interesting! The progress of their relationship was a bit slow, but I liked how their feelings grew over time to something strong. I do wish that Liam knew a bit more what he wanted and actually went for it. The ending was super sweet and I loved the HEA we get in the end!

I thought this was very good and I will have to add this to the shop shelves. Thank you for the chance for us to review.
I have now both read and listened to this book and it has my whole heart. Lauren Asher keeps her Dirty Air series new and fresh in the second installment, Collided.
I laughed, yelled, and squirmed as I read this book. Liam and Sophie have the best banter and Asher knows her Formula 1. Can’t recommend it enough.
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️.5/5
Sophie feels like she's just existing lately, pursuing a degree she doesn't want and ignoring the things she loves. While scrolling social media, she gets the idea to make a sort of bucket list of her own. And the best way to accomplish her goals is by following the F1 racing circuit from country to country with her dad, principle to the top team.
Liam is forced to clean up his image after sleeping with the wrong woman. Unfortunately, the woman he met and can't stop thinking about shows up at the wrong time, attached to a rival team no less. He can't stay away and when she friend zones him, he'll take what he can get... until friends is no longer enough.
I'm loving this series focused on a small group of competitive racing friends. I loved Liam in Throttled and he was even better in Collided. Everyone needs a friend like Liam! The development of their relationship from friends to benefits to love was just perfect. The tension, the banter, the flirting, the friendship support, and the eventual spice kept me flipping pages. I can't wait to read about the mysterious bad boy Jax next.
Thanks for this!!!! Omg I been loving Lauren books for a while now and this one did not disappoint. So good , loved the plot , the characters, how everything develops, I can wait to get more from this series

This was a fun and cute book! Although don’t let it fool you, there is definitely some spice!
Sophie is the daughter of the Bandini Race Team boss. Zander is F1’s playboy. When he and Sophie meet, he decides he will help her with her bucket list. Her naughty bucket list. They’re friends, so what could go wrong?
I actually loved this book and I’m not even a race car fanatic! The storyline kept me engaged and I truly enjoyed the characters! Plus Zander’s dirty talk was fire 🔥 This is the second book in the series, but can be read as a standalone. I cannot wait to read the rest of the series! I’ve just love Lauren Asher‘s books!

This series is firey hot! Between the Formula 1 race car drivers with emotion issues, and the women they fall in love with! They travel all over the world also. What's not to love about that?
Liam is working for the German racing company McCoy when he loses one of his closest friends. He vows from then on not to be close to anyone emotionally.
Sophie is about to start her last year at college when she convinces her father, who is a Formula 1 principal, to let her tag along for the racing season. She's only ever had a series of very disappointing and inexperienced boyfriends at college after attending an all girls Catholic school.
Not only do these two have the hots for each other. They also just love to hang out with each other aw friends.

Lauren Asher never fails! I'm hooked on this. It's been one of those books that lives rent free in my head. I read this across a weekend and it was so hard to put down. I loved it so much
4 stars.
I enjoyed Lauren Asher's "Collided" quite a bit. This is my first Formula 1 racing novel, and I found it to be quite exciting. There is a lot of depth within the characters of Sophie and Liam! Sophie wants Liam's help with her special bucket list, and he is more than happy to oblige. I am not a huge fan of friends-with-benefits novels, but I think Asher works well within this trope. It works mostly because Sophie and Liam have terrific chemistry with one another even though they are supposed to be "rivals." From their very first interaction, it's obvious that sparks are going to fly between them. The question is, who will fall first? Fans of a lot of spice will be very pleased with this book, but keep in mind that there is also a lot of emotional conflict and turmoil they each have to overcome. Sophie and Liam bond over the losses they have incurred in their lives, which strengthens their relationship beyond just the physical. All in all, this is a great book. I can see why Lauren Asher is so popular!
Thank you to NetGalley, Lauren Asher, and SOURCEBOOKS Bloom Books for the complimentary ARC of this book. All opinions are my own. I was not compensated for this review.
I love Liam and Sophie's story! I'm a huge fan of this author. Can't wait to see what comes next. Thank you so much for the ARC
Loving this entire series and when I think it can't get any better Lauren Asher just knocks it further out of the park! Liam and Sophie are just perfect and I adored every word of their story. This is a MUST read!
This book was perfection! I loved every minute of Sophie and Liam's story. This series keeps getting better and I'm so excited to read the next two books!

I really loved Liam and Sophie, they were so fun and so cute and the spice was delicious. This one didn't hit me in the feels quite like Throttled did, but it still left me giggling and smiling 'til the very end.
Lauren has such a way of writing adorable family members. If I thought Maya's were amazing, there's a chance that Liam's are darn near perfect. The beginning with his brother about tore my heart to shreds, but seeing Lucas healing and how supportive his parents are blew me away. And I loved that James spends time with them too. He's a pretty great dad, even if he's over protective at times.
I loved watching these two check items off of Sophie's list and watching Liam deny his love for her almost to the bitter end. They were so sweet and I loved their story.
The audio was amazing. Aiden Snow was back to play Liam and one of my faves, Desiree Ketchum, played Sophie. It was a fantastic listen and I can't wait to start Wrecked.
Liam and Sophie meet and feel an instant connection, but nothing happens at first. Years later, Liam vows to stay celibate to repair his image after a scandal, focusing on his career. When he reencounters Sophie, their chemistry reignites. Sophie, who has always been sheltered, creates a provocative "fuck it list" for her summer break. Liam helps her tick off items from the list, leading to a friends-with-benefits arrangement. As their bond deepens, Liam must decide if he’s ready to embrace a deeper relationship with Sophie.
This book was SO GOOD, the tension, the charisma, the banter, it was all on point. Liam and Sophie totally have my heart.
LIVING FOR THE GOOD GIRL X BAD BOY THROPE!
Liam and Sophie's connection is undeniable. Their interactions are electric, blending sweet and sexy moments seamlessly. Liam, despite his cocky exterior, reveals surprising depth as the story progresses. His support for Sophie's "naughty list" and his unexpected bookish side added an intriguing layer to his character.
Sophie is undeniably charming. Given the F1 racing backdrop, it's understandable that Liam takes center stage, but Sophie's story felt somewhat overshadowed.
The "naughty list" subplot was a fun and playful addition, injecting a unique element into the narrative. Asher's talent for writing steamy scenes is undeniable, but the rushed proposal felt out of place, hindering the overall impact of the story.
Overall, liked this book and looking forward to the other books in the series.
