My favourite quotes
Just like she’d never believed that her hair could be meaningful, or hold magical, untold powers. It had always just been hair. And the minute Edward had cut it off, it was no longer even hers.
She was such a paradox: delicate but unbreakable; modest but intrepid; innocent but electrifying.
A wise woman once told me, if I can't talk about it, I shouldn't be doing it.
There are beautiful things that came out of this tragedy.
Whereas he'd spent his first year in his new world quietly observing, Ren was running forward, arms outstretched. He wanted to tell her just how impressed he was, how hard and disorienting and intimidating he knew it must be. Most of all he wanted to tell her just how desperately he wanted to hold her hand - and much, much more.
This was a super cute story that feels super innocent in lots of ways. It is easy to see the connection to the Disney cartoon, Tangled, without all the supernatural elements to it.
Ren has been isolated for much of her life not completely isolated, but isolated enough that she misses many of the social cues that the rest of the world learns as they interact with one another. Despite her isolation, she comes well-versed in a variety of subjects, and eventually her parents allow her to attend a small college in Idaho. Why they do this is a mystery. If you want to keep your child from the dangerous world, sending her off to college doesn't make much sense. But there you go. She is there at Corona College, and her eternal optimism and good nature lead everyone there to love her ... except for Fitz, who isn't impressed with her "act." One thing leads to another, and Fitz and Ren find themselves heading out on a cross country adventure, and they soon begin to form a close attachment. As the trip continues, it becomes obvious that something about Ren's upbringing does not feel right, and anyone who has seen Tangled can guess what is going to happen.
It is a little jarring to listen to this story because Ren sounds REALLY young. It makes sense when you know that she has been so isolated that she approaches all new experiences with the same sense of wonder a child might have when experiencing new things. But Ren is not just naive and inexperienced. She also is written with a strength that shows up always at the best times. She is direct in her conversations, a refreshing change from many romantic story lines. Fitz is not so direct or open, and he provides a perfect juxtaposition to Ren's personality. The two of them bring each other into balance. I appreciated the clean story here. With Ren's inexperience in practically all things, it would have felt a little icky if the more experienced Fitz had ended up sleeping with her. They are taking things slow, especially after the revelations of the end of the book, and I appreciated that.

This book kit was perfect for my book club. and everyone loves Christina Lauren's books. Thank you for the excellent book discussion questions which led to a great many of fun conversations throughout the night, The romance genre , I think, gets a bad wrap for being perfect and unrealistic but I have to disagree. There is something beautiful about knowing the story will have a happy ending. Kudos to the team at We Are Bookish for creating this great guide for book clubs. I hope to use more of them in the future.

Fantastic kit for bookclub. I wish every book we read had these.
Cute bookmark, recipes, this or that game and great questions to ask.

The book club kit seems to be well thought out and executed. I love the author Q&A as well as the questions poised.
I enjoyed the addition of the bookmark, book club bites, and Ren's cocktails. The this or that game is also a joy.
This would be a great addition to any book club reading Tangled Up in You
My only feedback is 7/23 pages are plugging other books or works. That's over 30% of this kit and I recommend decreasing that.

This is the perfect kit to help boost my book club pick of Tangled Up in You! I can't wait to share with my book club. It will be a fun event!

Enjoyable book kit. The cocktails recipes and book bites will work well at a book club meeting. I like comparing the this or that, to see who all has answers in common and compare differences.

This book club kit will help me to read Tangled Up in You, this kit will help provide analysis and make me think about questions that I otherwise wouldn't have thought of.
It will also allow a more accurate review of the book because I will have been asked questions and this kit will have provided me with an easy to read synopsis.

This is my first book club kit, and it was so fun! I really enjoyed the recipes, and I also appreciated the book recommendations. I’m obsessed with Christina Lauren books, and this one was no different!

I had no clue on what a book kit was an it was a pleasant surprise to go through it. It's definitely very unique and I did enjoy the experience of it.
I was very intrigued by the book especially because it was said to be a retelling of one my favourite disny movies

Bookclub kit encourages in-depth discussion. Includes fun bookmark printouts as well as drink and snack recipes. Overall the kit rounds out the book review nicely.

This is my first book club kit that I have read and I enjoyed it. I really liked the recipes that were included. The book recommendations were a nice addition too. After reading this I plan on reading the actual book and I will definitely recommend this to my book club friends!

I thought this such a nice book club kit and offered some nice insight into the story. I would love to see something like this for Worth Fighting For!
Rating is reflective of the material in this kit, not comparing it to another book by any means
