A 4.5 star graphic novel! Overall, I had fun reading it, but it read a little younger than I anticipated and I wish it was a bit darker.

Suitor Armor is a very cute story set in medieval times about hidden fairies, secret romances, magical metal knights and some light court politics.
I really liked and found the artwork of this graphic novel very aesthetically pleasing and super colorful.

I enjoy our FMC's personality and adventure seeking tendencies, she's also sweet kind and very welcoming of the other characters. Overall, most of our characters were nice and sweet. Between the knights there were competitive moments, and between our FMC and her princess best friend most moments were caring and understanding. The characters in this story are light hearted and nothing about the story feels dark in Volume 1.

The story progressed relatively quickly, and the development of our FMC's life trajectory already took a significant turn in this story. The plot was easy to follow and also equally light hearted in most parts. The human world seems to be warring with the fairy world which tends to be the darkest part of the story. My curiosity for this series is if it will continue in its light hearted trajectory or add some darker story elements down the line.

I would highly recommend this for anyone who is looking for a sweet light-hearted start of a graphic novel series, with beautiful and colorful artwork!

This was, I think, the only webtoon comic I picked up that I hadn´t read before and it was a very pleasant surprise. I loved the characters and the setting, even though the whole falling in love with this silent armour was a bit weird at the beginning but I am not here to judge!!
The second I finished this volume I ran to Webtoon to continue, the story is compelling, the art is stunning and the romance is a cute slow burn.
I am honestly holding my breath for what will happen next and I will continue this series. I think it has great potential, Lucia is an amazing character and I can´t wait to see what´s in store for her and what secrets will be revealed!!

Cute graphic novel with fun artwork and interesting characters. Though short, I enjoyed the introduction to the characters and the start to the story. I’m curious to read a bit more. Thanks to NetGalley for access to it.

Such a cute, cozy beginning to this story. I love the art work! So pretty! I am looking forward to reading more, and seeing the characters and Lucia and Modeus’ relationship develop.

The art for this series is so charming and I love the story! I’ve followed this series for a very long time so I was very excited to see that they were going to put it into volumes! This is very well earned!

This is a wonderful character-driven story about a lady-in-waiting falling in love with an enchanted suit of armor! Such an odd concept but it was so much fun. Set in a Kingdom where fae and humans are at war - secrets are around every corner and magic (and romance!) is in the air.
I’m excited to pick up the next published volume of this Webtoon!

It was cute! Interesting world set up. Very much a romanticized medieval Europe setting but with fairies in it and magic. Humans hate and fear the fairies which makes it a little odd and kind of fascinating that a human king brought home a fairy child to be a lady in waiting for his daughter. Human sized but with wings and very pointy ears it would have been obvious to him. So who is the girl and why did he save her…? It’s the little details like that along with an interesting story that make me want to read the next book now!

This was such a blast to read from beginning to end. It is so funny and sweet and romantic. I love when a story combines a bit of seriousness with humor. It creates this beautiful dance and because you are so in tuned with and care about what’s going on the humor hits even deeper.

Seeing this big suit of Armor bumble around and start giving so much sass, yet also has this fierce connection and need to protect Lucia was awesome to read about. Lucia is living a life as an imposter. Yet, she doesn’t know anything about what it means to be a fairy or why fairies and humans are even at odds.

My favorite side characters in this webtoon are the cute gay couple. They have this sassy relationship with the suit of armor. The way they also love each other is so wholesome and adorable.

If you need an uplifting read that will make you laugh Suitor Armor is the perfect read!

The art style is very cute and the colors work well in contrast. The storyline was easy to follow without being too simplistic. I'm really excited for volume 2!

This is a wonderful fantasy graphic novel. I felt like it ended so abruptly but I’m looking forward to reading the next. The artwork was beautiful and vibrant. The picnic scene is the sweetest thing I’ve seen in forever! Can’t wait to read the next!

The art and story were equally beautiful! the topics brought up were so touching and amazingly dealt with and i cannot wait to see further volumes as they come out.

Suitor Armor by Purpah is the well drawn, well scripted story of Lucia and other court characters, a Mage, his metal creation, a Knight and his squire and Kirsi, Lucia's childhood friend. With the mix of secrets among the court, I will be eagerly awaiting the next volume.

I'm so blown away that I got approved for an arc of one of my favorite webcomics, but also blown away that this series is finally getting the physical bind-ups that it deserves! I've been following this series since it first released on Webtoons and I found myself sucked in so easily to this story, this world, the on going war between the Fae and humans, the characters, just all of it. I love this series so much and there have been many scenes, many moments that have made my heart soft or had me sobbing. The connection between Lucia and Modeus is so good and I'm looking forward to seeing how their relationship will unfold. They both deserve the happiest of endings with one another. I also really enjoyed the prologue and the bonus story of Perse. I had always wondered how Perse became a squire and even though it was heartbreaking, that bonus story made me love his character so much more than I already did.

If I had to fault this graphic novel for anything, I'd probably say it feels too short. I think the author/creator could have added one or two more chapters to this first volume and it would tide readers over until the next volume comes out. I'll also say, if you're a reader who doesn't like insta-love in your books then you may want to skip this series. Modeus and Lucia have an instant connection/insta-love situation going on. While this wasn't a problem for me, I know for many readers that doesn't really work for them.

Overall, take my review as a grain of salt because I very much adore this series, with my whole chest, and probably won't stop recommending this series to friends/family. Again, I feel really blessed to have received an arc of this first volume and I'm eager to continue reading this series. I want all my favorite characters to get the happy endings they all deserve! I was already familiar with this comic when I requested this book from the catalog. I actually read Suitor Armor on Webtoon while it was being released weekly. I’ve found myself stepping away from this website because I’m too impatient to wait for each chapter and prefer to read everything all in one bundle. There were certain elements I enjoyed about this collection and others that had me scratching my wee head. I absolutely adored Purpah’s art style. The illustrations, character design, and even the wardrobe had me nearly drooling. It was the bombardment of multiple plotlines that had me befuddled. It was difficult to keep track of the various knights and ladies-in-waiting. This volume also happened to conclude in the strangest spot without a clear setup for the future sequel. I’m not quite sure whether or not I”ll pursue the second volume considering our love interest doesn’t even have a pair of lips to kiss. Mouths are a pretty vital organ to possess when writing a fantasy romance. This suitor armor had a few dents, but it’s what’s on the inside that matters, right? Whatever that may be…

I loved Suitor Armor Volume One. Everything that has been published by from Webtoon I have absolutely adored. The artwork is beautiful and I can't wait to find out more about Lucia and her past and the budding romance between her and Modeus. This series has great potential and I am looking forward to continue reading the series.

Lucia’s time at court takes a turn when she accompanies Lady Kirsi to a royal tournament that calls together all of the kingdom's brave knights for a competition. A magically animated suit of armor, brought to life by Norrix, the court mage. Lucia is immediately attracted to the armor's dark, mysterious charm and lovingly names him Modeus. Bonded by their mutual status as outcasts since Lucia is a fairy and he is made of magic....Lucia yearns to know more about herself and her kind after another fairy has broken into the castle.

I love this webcomic and I love that it will be in a print format! The art is beautiful and the story is so compelling! Romantasy lovers will love this book!

I picked up for the cute art and anticipated a whimsical story. For me personally, the story was a bit too breezy and didn't give me quite enough details or character development to keep me invested. I didn't find most of the character relationships believable, and felt most of their histories were told rather than shown. In my opinion, there are too many characters introduced right away to get to know any of them well or to develop much plot structure. I did enjoy the dynamic between Baynard and Peres, though I wasn't truly interested in them until the bonus chapter. It wasn't enough for me to plan on continuing to read the comic. The art is very aesthetically pleasing and makes great use of color, though!

It was a cute, cozy graphic with fairy, magic and a whimsical setting . Aesthetically speaking I have nothing to say, drawing style is not my favorite but it fit perfectly with the vibe.
It was a easy read and I feel like it is going to be a cute found family the more we get through the series
My only real issues with it is the characters.
Beside Lucia we don’t know much about others characters . Which make sense Lucia is our MC but even the drawing doesn’t give much about the characters . The good thing about graphic is that we can see characters story on them no need to interact with them . It could be because of the way they dress or their scars or tattoos but the characters in it looks flat . No scars, no specific dressing style , nothing. Just basic generic characters.

The best exemple of a flat character in it is the character of Kirsi
She is the cliché of the dumb untitled princess , which she actually is, and do not seems to have thoughts of her own ? Modeus looks dangerous thus he is .
The king said that the fairy were the bad guys thus they are .
She have NO other thought in her brain beside her wedding with the king .
Though, sometime we can see a few glimpses of her needing Lucia’s help because she sucks at talking to her soon-to-be spouse , which may mean that she only shows a part of her personality ;
I guess she must be a bit sheltered because of her status but you’re suppose to be able to have an opinion.
I wonder how she will react to Lucia’s real nature .

The bonus chapter about Peres past was interesting though.
Beside the few interactions with Lucia and his job we did know much about him, so the bonus chapter was gladly welcomed . (Is it even a thing in English ?)
I like when we have short bits of side characters history .
And because of their life chose every characters are connected and present even in the flashback chapter and I liked seeing a younger version of them.
